I think Sue and Tony were great, but the RV we rented really needed some TLC. Considering the…read morecondition, I don't think we got a value at $250 per day. Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.

Lots of unusual and older models no longer seen elsewhere. Friendly staff and the place is nicely organized and clean (well, as clean as a junkyard can be). Cars are up on stands and easy to pick parts from. Yard is only a few years old. Turnover rate is good so if you go, say, once every month or two you'll see mostly new cars every time. Its also worth checking out their row of "classics"; older cars they keep around "just in case". Some real odd ones there.

My company uses Fleet for a lot of stuff, but this review is for the personal assistance they gave…read moreme. It is pretty rare to find a business, let alone a MECHANIC, that is willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt and do work out of pocket without getting payment first. But that is what Fleet did for me. I had a 98 Sable that ended up stalling on me and finally going kaput. I called Fleet and they came within the hour. The tow truck driver, Bobby, was very polite and respectful. Fleet called me the next afternoon (not two or three days laters) to tell me the bad news. Not only was the trans bad, but the frame had rotted out. They were able to get it running long enough for me to get to work and find a replacement vehicle. As a single mom, I was most gratified that they let me pay the bill on a payment plan instead of holding the car hostage. **EDIT: I was trying to avoid saying this, but I lost the battle. Bobby is just a smokin' hot sweetheart and sometimes I wish my car would break down just so I could watch him hook it up to the truck. There, I said it!

PROS: fairly straight forward, the 2nd largest Budget truck rental company in Chicago (according to…read morethe woman at the desk) CONS: 1. Although there were several trucks available in the size we had reserved (16' truck), they would NOT comply with any of our requests to rent us a newer model. Basically said "you get what you get." They gave us an old truck that was rickety without power windows. We drove cross country over 4 days and it was raining the entire time. The truck had leaks in the storage area in the back and in the main cabin! Our heads were soaked with dripping water from the rain. We ended up having to go through an entire claims process with Budget about compensation. Budget was actually pretty nice about it. 2. Fleet Services had me sign the Vehicle Inspection form before they went out to actually inspect the vehicle. When I asked them what it was, they rudely stated, "do you want the truck or not?!" 3. They were out of furniture pads. CONCLUSION: Would NOT return to Fleet Services. Budget has reasonable customer service and would rent from them again from a different location.
