We met some of their employees who shared their commitment to customer satisfaction. My wife and I highly recommend Hometown RV

Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.

He has the worst attitude and doesn't belong in a customer service position. This isn't based on just one experience and I know everyone has bad days. He's horrible every single time and unfortunately we've had to deal with him at least a half dozen times. He talks down to you and over talks you. Both are nothing but rude. He doesn't do anything to help you and each time I've had to get a higher up in charge. I believe his name is Elliot. Please put him somewhere that doesn't deal with people.

Just ahead of Helene. side mirror fell off, windows blew open I stopped to fix these and waded in water! The slide was pouring water !!!! I called and told them of the issues, but had to be in Albuquerque & Colorado Springs for a wedding.and made an apt when I would be back. I called many times to try and assure I got what I paid for and was promised I was in contact with Lucas, Justin and others in mgmt. Made it clear I am living in the RV and would need it back asap. called for appt prior presented list to service manager on return. 10 items missing, broken, or amiss, she "told what do expect, you bought a used rv. They kept it 18 days while I slept on my daughter's couch. Each item to check out , broken missing etc was $94.00. The slide didnt close because someone had removed the plug and there was no fluid in the seal. they wanted to CHARGE me $190. for the fluid!!!! I bought service and maintenance packages AND THEY WERE NOT GOOD for anything!! I was very unhappy and said I would trade up or down but I did not want to keep his lemon. Heard ZIP! I was furious at being lied to and basically cheated. I looked up who owned CW and called and spoke to asst to Marcus Limonis. I was directed to Skyler GM at Buford whom I Called and left messages per Marcus Limonis. The kicker was the second slide leaking during a rainstorm. Which means BOB and all his service team looked at/fixed nothing. I did rec a call from Timothy for Skylar late evening who kept saying bring it up. I told him it is my home, I have to have someone bring me home 75 miles thru Atlanta nowhere to stay while they kept it for 18 more days??? He did not listen to anything I said, just bring it up. I lost it. I called the bank next morning and told them I was overtaken by life issues and will not be making any more payments and the can come and pick it up. They repossessed it 16 January. The bank sold it for pennies on the dollar in February. I OWE $25,000. I sent a signature requested package of this horrible fiasco to Marcus Liminos, after long delay I received the post office receipt but nothing more. I am still fighting but as you can see, they DO NOT CARE!!!! SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THRU DEALING WITH CAMPING WORLD IN BUFORD, GEORGIA. I will be happy to go on TV and bring my file!

Dave (the owner) bumped the original quoted price by $1600.00. Because of time constraints on my end, I accepted. After three months, my job was only partially done. The lid was reinstalled with the carpet replaced (but the wood was never replaced and still sagged). And the holes were covered over with the carpet but never filled in so when poked...there is now a golf ball size hole in my brand new carpet on my front deck. Not only does he not keep his promises, he tries to cover them up! My next "stop" is the BBB and the Attorney General's office to file a complaint. $3600 for and 18' boat carpet job and none of the "add on's" were performed. I came across Roberts on Groupon and for a short while, thought I had found a mechanic. I met the owner on several occasions and he is an incredibly nice and honest business owner. His main office guy Mario, is as well. They want your business and want to make sure you are happy with the service you received. My problem was that too often, I was unhappy with the work performed. One of the challenges for me was that they are only open M-F, 9-5. When I needed work done - it's a day off. My expectation is that the work would be done right the first time. Unfortunately, three times in a row, it was not and it cost me quite a bit of extra time off as I had to return: The first time I had an oil change and an air filter put in. Afterwards I could hear a vibration in the engine at high speeds. It turned out that the air filter wasn't properly placed in the housing. Small issue The second time I had new tires placed on the car. They told me I had to go to the dealer because the camber wasn't to spec. On my way to the dealer, my steering wheel started shaking very strongly. I mentioned it to the dealer - they checked and the tires weren't balanced (the dealer balanced for free). They also noticed that three of the four tires had imperfections in them. So it was back to Roberts. In all fairness, Roberts was very nice and apologetic and likely made no money off of this work. That is because every tire that they went to put on had an imperfection in it. It took quite a while to get it right. I believe I had to take two days off of work just to get new tires. The third and final time I was back for an oil change. They mentioned that I needed new wipers. I said sure. The mechanic must have never checked the operation of them because when I tried to use them there was a pretty large part that didn't even touch the window. They used aftermarket parts and forced something too big into the wiper. As a result it bowed and a part of it was never flush against the window. So again I went back. Again I received apologies and was told they would fix it. Then I was asked if I had some time because they didn't have the part needed. I had finally had enough and said I would not be coming back. What made it worse was that to fix it I had to spend an additional $60 at the dealership. Air filters and wipers are small issues - if things went wrong on these I couldn't imagine what could go wrong with bigger issues. The only reason I didn't give one star was the owner. Like I said - honest and nice. He should probably look into the work his staff are doing. I can't imagine that I'm the only one who this has happened to.
