If I could leave less I would DONT GO HERE. They did the loan numbers so fast that they didn't make since just kept saying what they did to make it look good for bank got home did went through all the numbers they got me for 10k over what it should be. And they will not talk to me. The back door they fixed the guy had no clue what he was doing just out random parts in. Used a on off switch instead of momentary burnt the actuators up for unlocking the ramp door. It opened on the drive home had to strap it closed. The fifth wheel hitch is not installed properly. Twice, two rounds, I attempted to be a customer by B2B. Their website is coded wrong and you cannot connect to the right location. After I wasted an afternoon, and was asked why I was flooding one locations inbox, I tried again. The second time I made sure to contact the correct 'camping world' by pre-selecting the location and contacting them directly through the website. They have it setup that even when you email the location, if the home location isn't set, they do not contact the correct location. I adjusted homebase each time and guess what. Same main location contacted me and not the others. Either the site is coded wrong or they have a virtual "bouncer" that won't allow you to contact the other sites in the quad-state area. read more

We have had nothing but problems with their service department. Every time we have had it in, no matter what the reason, they have had it for at least 2 months with no communication as to why it was taking so long. Every time I call them, I am told something different each time. I called them and was told the leak was fixed, then after not hearing anything for 2 days, I called again and was told that they had worked on the water pump (which was blowing a fuse) and then they were going to check the leak.???? If it was already fixed, why check it again??. 3 more days go by with no word, so I call again. This time was told they were getting ready to work on everything and the water pump should be in stock. Well, 3 more days and still nothing. Husband got a report saying everything was under review (???) Mind you, they have been informed 3 or 4 times now that we have reservations to go camping in a few weeks. They have had it for a month and 1/2 just for a water pump and to rechaulk. Once this is done, we will not be going back there. The only reason we've brought it to them is because of the warranty. read more

Give Camping World your phone number and email and lookout - they'll be blowing you up. Decided to stop in and couldn't believe the number of employees on staff in sales attempting to look busy. Left empty handed and didn't look at any units because of all the formality necessary to simply look at a camper. I went down the road to Pontiac and bought one with ZERO hassles, no text messages or emails, no high pressure tactics that it seems Camping World is trained for. The concept of Camping World as a nationwide dealer network is great, but it fell flat with this consumer. Was told had to have there go Sam insurance for 1300 dollars a year didn't need don't do it. I now have it for $650 a year. We drove 1.5 miles to pick up a pop-up camper. They were totally unprepared in spite the fact that they called us, while we were on the road and we confirmed our arrival time. But even worst, they failed to disclose the camper was in an accident and the automatic lift could not be fixed. They point out lied about everything and tried to finagle a deal. read more

They came in at a price and asked my son if he would take the camper for the price they agreed on for cash, he told them yes, they then go get the GM and he says I'll sell it to you for that price if you finance with us. Terrible people I wish I have never of went to look at anything from them. They stole my money. We were interested in purchasing and for some reason after I put the deposit down, I had regrets within an hour. I couldn't sleep and had a feeling I was making a huge mistake well I was right. The following day we called and told them we didn't want to make the deal anymore and boy did they fight it. Lowering the price lowering the payment this and that, they tried it all. We just felt like we jumped into something which we did. So, now I'm trying to get my deposit back and I'm having to fight for it. This is a nightmare. I do not understand why they are so hard up. When we backed out of the deal the first day, they called me 7 times the following day they called me 3. I was going to come back when we were ready and conduct business but now NO WAY!! Was *thinking* about getting an rv for my son and I to travel in, so we stopped in to see what they were like. I told the sales guy numerous times that even if I wanted to do this instead of buying a home, I would not be making any decisions until this summer. Regardless of that, he asked me repeatedly what it would take to get me to buy "today." Irritated, I REstated that I would, under absolutely NO circumstances, be buying that day. They didn't even have what I was looking for in the first place. Same sales guy called me that same day and I told him that I had already been very clear that I'm not making any decisions about what I'm going to do until this summer but if I constantly get nagged that there was NO WAY I was going to give them my business. Yesterday (4 days since I had been in) I got a voice mail from "RJ the sales manager". He stated, in his actual message, "there's a note on here not to pester you but it's been 4 days, and we want to know if we can get you into something." Now I'm done, so I call back and tell them to remove me from their list and that I absolutely would not be doing business with them under any circumstances. THAT guy, who I guess was also a sales manager, was rude about it too being sarcastic, saying it was "too bad". I agreed that it *was* too bad. In short, if you give these people your info, you'll be tracked down by the hounds of hell for all of eternity. I wouldn't recommend this place if their campers were your only hope for survival. First time RV'er, I was looking for a little travel trailer. I'd been shopping online forever and hit up a few RV shows so I had a good idea of what I wanted and what I needed for my uses. Christine checked all the boxes on the first try, the first one I stepped into. We did look at the others in stock that fit my weight limit but I kept comparing them to the first one. It's perfect! Mike in finance was efficient but like buying anything large it took forever. He was very nice and made sure all my questions were answered. Alex did the walk through and was super helpful. Took our camper in for repairs. Found out most of our stuff was only a 90 day warranty. When we payed a lot extra for warranty. Then when we were getting repairs. They lost our set of 3 keys. They didn't replace keys. Sent us 2 locks to uninstall our old locks and replace with new locks and the keys didn't even work. No replacement key for any of the storage. Why not just give us 3 replacement keys for the keys they lost! Not right at all! read more

I called a salesperson I had spoke to in the past to have help with questions about a motorhome to purchase.At first everything was fine until I asked for a price discount. The salesperson said he had to go to management as they paid more to the owners they got it from. Ok understandable so work up the numbers for the purchase. Told them the down payment we'd give and that I wanted around a $300 monthly payment. Salesperson went to management and came back with the information that it was impossible to get a payment so low. Not once did they ask for our credit information in the right way, they just threw some numbers together without the correct credit info to realistically give us the kind of loan we expected when you both have credit ratings in the 800s and yearly income after taxes of $65,000, it was insulting to say the least because we wanted a discount. The salesperson was to go to management with an offer with a discount on another motorhome for us and guess what they dropped us, no call backs or trying to get our business just because we bad rapped the wrong way they figured the purchase price without actually having correct personal lending information, just picking a rate and term that was high for people with lower credit ratings and incomes. Again very embarrassing and the wrong way to get customers. So needless to say we've gone elsewhere and got a great deal because they wanted to make a sale. They took a actual loan application and we got our discount and low rate loan with the $300 payment we wanted. So beware of Camping World sales tactics. read more

TL;DR - Entire team at Camping World Braidwood (formerly EZ living RV) came through when we had a legit emergency (lost all trailer brake control) and no other RV/trailer business would help. All of them told us they were booked for several weeks and keep driving...and of course the always helpful "good luck." We called and Sarah told us to come straight in. 6 hours later they replaced all of our brake assemblies and had us back on the road! If you need anything when you are passing through, STOP BY! We are in the middle of a military move from Rhode Island to Colorado and with COVID still being a thing we made a decision to buy a 5th wheel (a plan we had been working of for a while) to make the move safer and easier. Our trip started with all sorts of "fun" from almost getting parked in while sleeping in an overnight rest area to waking up to 2" of snow the next morning. These are just small parts of the longer journey across country. The first real problem happened as we entered the heavy traffic around Chicago on 80/94. It was a rainy morning, but nothing dangerous about the roads until we get an emergency notification that our trailer brakes are disconnected. Our 5th wheel currently houses all of the items we did not want the movers to move/break/steal and weighs somewhere around 14k pounds. A moment later the brakes reconnected then disconnected. This went on for about 20 minutes as we tried to pull over to take a look. We never lost our lights or other connections, just the brakes. We finally stop and after some troubleshooting and forum searching thought it might be water intrusion. My husband used our compressor to dry the connections and the alert went away. About 30 minutes down the road we lost them again and this time for good as the truck told us to get the brake system serviced. We made it to Camping World and the techs started troubleshooting almost immediately. Found out the brake assemblies that were installed were all bad and missing parts; appears it was something that occurred at factory assembly. The team did great work and IF they were not going to be able to finish, Dave, the GM, told us they would run a 50 amp line to the rig and let us moochdock for the night. However, the team had the parts, finished the work, and we were back on the road almost 6 hours to the mark of us arriving. I cannot stress enough how grateful we are for the team. They understood our situation, found a way to fit us in to the already booked maintenance schedule, and allowed us to maintain our move schedule and arrive in time for our household goods! Heroes come when we most need them and that day we needed the team at Camping World Braidwood! Thanks for everything! read more

My original purchase was from Gander RV in Columbia, MO On 08/2021. I have a separate review posted for them, check it out. However, I was guaranteed that warranty claims and repairs could be handled at any location across the US especially at my local camping world in Braidwood, IL. This was true as camping world of Braidwood did repair warranty items. However, when it was time to repair damage caused by technicians at Gander RV in Columbia, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I even have a signed "We Owe", ticket by the GM in Columbia showing that parts and labor are owed. Gander RV GM assured me that internal billing was possible across all stores and Camping world has to submit the bill to them internally. Great, hold on, not so fast. In fact, as the customer, I had to make several phone calls to Gander RV, and Camping World just to get the two stores communicating to each other. Finally my parts were shipped from Gander RV to camping world only to find out they were wrong. Great, 3 months waiting for parts and there wrong. I expressed my concerns and difficulties trying to resolve the damage to my camper, consuming my time to the GM, Dave, at Camping World of Braidwood. On top of this, when I spoke to GM Dave at camping world expressing my concerns and I asked what he would do, he tells me to return to Gander RV for my repairs? Really? Dave also gave me several excuses why this was happening. All of these were not his fault or responsibility, of course. He didn't care, that's the bottom line. These issues should have been resolved by the "Camping World" entity. This contradicts what I was promised by Gander RV. Oh, by the way, I called corporate for help. They we're useless, just took my concerns and said thanks. They did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. No one cares from this company. I still have damaged components that were never fixed. I will NEVER purchase from camping world, Gander RV, or any entity of this corporate image. Horrible experience, buyers beware, nationwide. I do not recommend this company or there affiliates, they have several. I have taken the time to contact Keystone RV as well. I purchased their flagship fifth wheel, Montana and expressed my concerns on how Camping World and Gander RV are representing them and the product. Shamefull, no accountability. read more

Trying to figure out how to post on BBB (they aren't listed as accredited - go figure). Have been dealing with this location for a few months regarding minor repairs under warranty. The place was a mess from the very first phone call. Person who was supposed to be in charge went MIA - didn't take proper photos, didn't check all issues noted by me (the customer), failed to follow up properly with warranty department of manufacturer, kept asking me to drive it back in due to their mistakes and lack of attention to detail, despite me explaining I live nearly 1,000 miles away and could only take it in twice - once for assessment, once for the repairs. This was explained abundantly many times on the phone and email. When they did look at it, no replies for weeks. I had to keep calling and calling, and their level of organization and communication among employees was dismal. Do not care at all for the customer satisfaction nor actually helping. Run. Hide. Go anywhere else but here, unless you want a gigantic headache on your hands and a *non*-repaired RV. read more

I purchased my brand new travel trailer from salesman Mike at this location. Once I signed the check over, service went to 0. It took me almost 4 months to get my title to plate after numerous calls to him and to GM Dave who assured me he would take care of the matter and he did not. Dave never returned my calls. They gave me a 30 day temporary tag so for 3 months it sat in my drive unable to be moved! I was told after month 2 title was lost, then they applied for a new one and would have it overnighted since I was out of state. That did not happen and after several failed attempts on getting help, Allysa the title clerk was the only one to follow though and I am grateful. I was told twice another location had title and it would be delivered immediately but they had forgot. Buyer beware at this location!!! I have filed complaints with the Attorney General of Illinois and the BBB. Braidwood CW left me high and dry and I would not recommend doing business at this location. Let me mention they did send me a $50 CW gift card for my troubles. Wow! read more

The worst customer experience I've ever had. They have now returned my brand new 2021 camper with electrical problems to me for the third time. They tried two other times before and I wouldnt take it. Finally on the third time they addressed the main electrical issue but apparently never fixed the shorts on the lights that occurred as a result. I have never been able to use the product I have paid for. The service department has been outright dishonest about what work has been performed. They have given me incorrect information about the capabilities of my camper not once or twice but repeatedly. They won't return calls or be transparent about anything occurring on my RV. The person I just spoke to at corporate just said I don't know what you want me to do, I'm just the middle man all I can do is leave them a message. I'm being told on a 25K purchase we don't care about your problems, we aren't going to fix your problems, and we at corporate can't help you either. Most awful service on any item I've ever purchased. Huge buyers remorse. Do not use them. read more

I brought my camper in for warranty repairs since I just bought it April 2021 at a Camping World. Nothing new was accessed on a list that I requested and nothing was fixed after it sat there for 3 days. Some camping worlds allow you to camp there while awaiting repairs but this one did not. I did not leave my camper for electrical problems to be fixed for breakers (never had a breaker flip off prior to a visit here) but after I left nothing was fixed after 3 days and I had new issues with the breakers flipping off when I never had a breaker flip off before I had it here and electricity suddenly didnt work the right way. I could no longer use a hot plate to cook on with the outlet I used before I brought the camper here. Already had problems with propane regulator that never got fixed is 1 reason it was there for 3 days. So now I have no way to cook for my 16 month old except by microwave. Keep our fingers crossed that will keep working the breaker it is on! We also been taking cold showers too awaiting a propane regulator to be fixed. Numerous trips back n forth with over a month wait I am not sure is worth the money for warranty repairs? Braidwood instructed me I need to bring it back n forth to same store but store i bought from said i can take it anywhere to a Camping World. The whole purpose for a camper is to travel to new places and not have a house in sedentary spot? But now I am stuck for months in same places awaiting for repairs for a whole entire year for a brand new camper as it stated on my paperwork i bought it 'new'. I also felt that this was not a child friendly place to bring my son in for repairs during a pandemic. Too much arguing when we have already been quite isolated from the pandemic and drama was not helpful. read more
