I really like this place. I feel like they do a good job for reasonable prices, and the tools that they use appear to come from new packets each time to keep things clean. However, I feel like when I spontaneously stop in on a weeknight, I am almost always told to come back at another time because they are busy. Sometimes I'm told this even if I only see one other person in the waiting area (through, who knows, maybe there's appointments on the way?). It feels weird to not at least be told "the wait is (this long) if you want to stay" or "there's (this many) people ahead of you". I wonder how many people simply go to another nearby nail salon when this happens. Also, the frequency of this makes me wonder if they need a bigger staff? Regardless, as I said, they're very nice, do a really good job, and keep things sanitary, which is why I come back and would still give them a favorable rating. Took my daughter to VV Nails today because she wanted some fake nails to help her grow out her own. Lee was very helpful in explaining the difference between acrylic and gel. She went with the gel nails with tips and they look great. Prices are pretty reasonable. We will be back ! read more

Pedicure was great, as well as the chairs. The gentleman paid attention to detail and used hot stones for a soothing massage. He was very thorough with the polish portion too. Another lady finished the remainder of the pedicure, and then the whole process felt rushed. She quickly finished the painting of the toes. She did a very fast no chip and much of the manicure process was rushed. Some nails were not properly shaped or clipped fully with the cuticle cutters. The nail polish is also somewhat see through in some areas, due to lack of nail polish usage. For a 30 dollar no chip, I thought there would be a hand massage; however, there was a 30 second rub and snapping of the knuckles. Not only was the snapping of the knuckles painful, but also the massage portion didn't even allow for the lotion to absorb into my skin. read more

Disappointed in this place. I had a gift card that was a month past expiration and they would not honor it. I understand that it clearly said one year after purchase but now-a-days most gift cards don't even have an expiration date. I have gone a few times over the year and each time I kept forgetting the gift card, even joked with them I need to get it before it expires. Look I get that as a small business they can't honor these forever but I was only a month over. It was an $80 gift card so I asked how about just one service equal to $40 instead and they wouldn't budge. I have been going here since I was in junior high about 15 years and will not go back again. IMO that is Poor customer service. :( read more

I went here at the recommendation of a coworker. I am very disappointed at the quality of the pedicure I received. The main reason I pay to get a pedicure is because I cannot get the correct angle to clip the sides of my nails and cuticles, where the nails can grow to dig into the skin. The young woman who did my pedicure did not trim the sides of the nails or even the cuticles, she only cut them shorter with clippers. Towards the end of the pedicure I asked her if she could trim the sides of the nails with the tool the male technician next to us was using on his client, and she had the nerve to lie to me and say she already did it. Again, I pointed to the tool and said she did not use that or trim my cuticles, and she insisted she did. At this point other technicians and clients were looking over, and I didn't want to make a scene over a pedicure, so I didn't push the issue. She also did not seem to know how to massage or use the hot stones, she was fumbling with them and my legs. Maybe she was brand new, but I would then blame the management for putting someone on the floor who does not know what she was doing. Also, there was no reason she could not have just done what I asked, instead of lying twice hoping I would not know the difference. Now I am left with having to go to get another pedicure because she basically did nothing. I will never go here again and do not recommend it to anyone. read more

I came to VV last weekend to get a French no chip manicure and a pedicure for my sister's wedding, and the experience was very disappointing. The pedicure chair I was in was broken, the massage part didn't work, and the jet in the foot tub kept turning off. Then, mid pedicure, the woman working with me decided to get up and go thread someone's eyebrows while I sat around and waited around with wet feet as the water went cold. The pedicure itself turned out just fine but the experience of getting it was frustrating during the process. The manicurist immediately started chopping my nails down after I had tried to tell her repeatedly that I didn't want any length off with her interrupting me each time. Then she hurriedly completed the job with crooked lines on the tips as her cell phone rang constantly throughout. The finished manicure was not good- they gave me a $5 coupon because they could see I was upset but it didn't make up for a $45 no chip manicure that looked like something I could have done myself, which ended up chipping at the tips 3 days later. Definitely do not recommend this place. read more

I have been going to this spa for quite a while now, and it's really clean and nice. The decor is standard, but...the owners make up for any lack of ambience. When I went there I was trying to get over a very bad nail experience, and these people were great! The manicure and pedicure was amazing ! She took a lot of time on me and we had amazing conversations she would talk to her customers ! the waits weren't that long at all! If I could give VV Nail Salon no stars I would. I was there a couple days ago and got a full set. The experience was fine but after a couple of days I started to notice blisters and little bumps on my finger tips and around my nail that hurt so bad every time I touched something. I went back to VV Nail Salon today and talked to one of the ladies working. She told me there was nothing she could do for me and to deal with it. I once again explained to her that I didn't know what to do and it hurt so bad and the only she had to say was "Soak your fingers in acid-ton... I cant do anything" Acid-ton and blisters? Sounds painful!! I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone, unless you would like blisters all over your fingers! read more

I decided to get my nails done on my lunch break and this place was right down the road from where i work. They took me right away as a walk in and were very friendly. Apparently they just came under new management, which I did not know the old owners however these new owners are doing a great job. They are the cheapest priced for any service by about $5 from any nail salon I have been to. They were extremely nice and friendly and did one of the best pink and white full set jobs I have ever gotten. I would highly recommend them to anyone, for you get good service at the best price you will find. read more

Fantastic place with Wonderful people! Tried them last year when visiting relatives and this is the only place I will go, I don't even bother with places by me anymore. They do an amazing job. Have had both no chip polish and no chip powder done many times and always get compliments on my nails. I had the 10 day polish on my toes, no chip on my hands and it lasted until my next visit which was after vacation and over 1 month later. The service is great, so nice to get pampered with the spa pedicure and not worry about messing up my finger nails, which are always impressive, after getting no chip, especially when having to tend to 2 kids when finished. For those that aren't aware, no chip is a quick process it does not take long for the polish and you do not have to wait under dryers when finished like regular polish that will smudge if not completely dried and the polish lasts much longer too. read more

i honestly think people are only giving good reviews because they have a sign that you get 5 dollars off your service if you do!!!! i was standing up in a wedding showed them the dress that i wanted the polish to match ( they didnt understand what i was saying) i was very unsatisfied so instead of leaving which was my first mistake i picked colors and brought them to my station as she was applying the polish i decided that on my ring finger i wanted silver glitter she kept saying ok ok she came back with muliple colored glitter and i said no silver she said ya and held up the bottle i said NO and i started walking towards the polishes so i could show her and she didnt even follow me she was texting on her phone so with my nails still wet i had to attempt to grab the color which in turn i messed one up and soon as she saw that she shook her head and started talking to another employee! VERY UNACCEPTABLE i live not even a block away and will never return there! read more
