I've been here a few times and my go to person is Hailey. This is tucked in a strip mall on Algonquin road and reasonably priced. Each time I've come, I've had French or a design. My best experience is with Hailey. She tells me what will work or not work for me. The product they use for no chip sticks on the nail for 2-3 weeks without peeling. They're clean and friendly. They're also open with their pricing and tell you what it is before you pay, which is refreshing. I also got a pedicure and there are lots of reasonably priced options as well. Nice, relaxing, and I left feeling pretty. This has been my new place to go to and am still trying out new types of designs. read more

I just wanted to say before I say anything, I think I've only left 1 other review in my life.. I don't do this but, I'm very impressed with this nail salon. I currently left my other nail place because of wait times and my nails weren't lasting more than 2 weeks without lifting. Im so impressed with the fact that that I found a nail salon that not only there's barely ever a wait but also my nails aren't lifting even after 3/4 weeks ! Ive inserted pictures with dates to show you before and afters. This salon is small and pretty hidden which is why I think not many know of it. So... Tony just called me 4x in a row WHILE I was in a meeting... because ya know nothing better to do during the day... despite me sending him to voice-mail... apparently because he was harboring some resentment about a few things: 1. PRICING Earlier in a first visit review from the dip manicure...I had voiced my opinion that $7 per nail for crystals decor seemed overpriced... then declined that, then went online and purchased 5K 1.2mm crystals on eBay for $13... He berated me on a call about that... telling me he paid $100 for these crystals, so I told him I'd bring mine in and compare... to save him some money. AND that if thinking that this was overpriced... would do a survey with other salons in the area (apologizing if that was normal)... to which he declined. Hmm... THEN said it was the "labor" cost really... OK. 2. YELP Pictures "Why are you taking pictures of the Salon without asking?"... so I guess taking business pictures is offensive to Tony. I offered to remove the interior pictures... he declined again. 3. Yelp Reviews "If you have problems, don't post until you talk to me." ... so my opinions are to be censored vs. honest? This must have been the straw... I'm now banned from this AVG strip mall salon. I think that was it, aside from maybe the attitude I got from him when I walked into the place... that very first first time... asking the next availability for a M/P at 11am on a Sat, and told after some long pause that it'd be 4:30pm... to which I was like, meh... and got a "Are you coming back?" AS IF there aren't a million nail salons in a 5mi radius and I don't have anything else to do on a Sat but come back to this meh salon... (while Tammy IS Good... so are all the techs at Royal Nail Spa in Glen Ellyn) TBH... this guy is SO condescending imho... to me or is it all Asian(?) Women (any Yelpers IM me with feedback), which I feel is often the case at salons with Asian males being "managers" over a group of female Asian nail techs... misogynistic and just this patronizing attitude that is pretty unbelievable in this day & age, but then its older males that seem to be immigrants where i see this pattern... Don't usually leave reviews, but I do not recommend. I went in for a no chip manicure and pedicure. After just 5 days, the manicure was severely chipped. Then by day 10, the nails were almost complete peeled off. Peeled off, that is not suppose to happen with cured no chip nail polish. Anyways, everyone was very nice. It makes me sad to have to write this post but this has to be acknowledged. I visited sassy nails 3-5 times and I never seen a price list. Upon my 4th visit I started to questioned the prices? The first time the response was semi ok! At my 5th visit the manager or owner said why are you questioning the price? I said when you go to the store to purchase items don't you want to know how much they cost? Where is your price list? she hands me a older list and that's what I calculated my total from $110 mani/pedi she then said our price went up by $10. I said I'm paying what's on your price list. She then said I ordered a new price list from a company in China but has not received it yet. That's not my problem do a make shift list until your order comes in. My co-worker highly recommended this place after I saw her gorgeous cat eye nails. I was a little shocked that this place existed in this small plaza in on the corner of Algonquin/Hammond. I don't usually go get my nails done due to sanitation or not being able to find a good nail artist. All I can say is WOW!!! this place is clean and these guys are real Nail Artists! Sooooo impressed!! I was shocked by the service I received here. So polite, professional. Clean spacious shop. I was basically a walk in after requesting an appointment online. Tony and Tammy were my nail techs, Tony asked for a picture of what I wanted, double checked my choices, and gave me exactly what I wanted. There was a party of 5 women getting a mix of manicures, pedicures, and acrylics with intricate designs. These ladies were very demanding and complicated in every way, but this team handled them like professionals. One woman was very demeaning and rude about simple things. Tammy handled it until she felt like she couldn't complete the service the way she wanted. She maintained her composure, Tony switched with her and completed the woman's service, she continued to be rude and unsatisfied. Tammy finished my nails. I see now why Sassy Nails is highly rated! I have been wearing my nails long with acrylic powder and shaped into pointy stilettos for over 5 years. Every so often I might break a point off by accident while shopping or running errands. Tony's salon was literally the only nail salon still open this evening so he politely encouraged me to come visit and he'd help me lengthen my broken point. He and his wife are very kind and they have a huge assortment of nail charms, nail gels, chrome powders, and top quality brands if you like cat eye. He expertly added more length to my one broken nail, added two coats of black no chip, shaped it to a long point to match my others and had a beautiful pink chrome so I didn't have to use the one I had brought with me just in case he didn't have the pink chrome I needed. When I showed him a picture of a black cat he said he can definitely handpaint it onto my finished nail. It took him about 25 minutes from start to finish and he definitely knew how to execute an adorable black cat onto my nail. I very much appreciate his artistry and his attentiveness. He and his wife are very kind and professional and you will love the experience. They have very good quality nail products here and everything is very clean. Please do not go here if you have any other choice. I sat there for 30 minutes with my feet soaking after they said they could take me for a pedicure. After sitting there for 28 minutes I let them know I had to leave. My feet were soaking so I asked for a towel, no one acknowledged me. I said it again and then when you're all looked up and trudged over to me and acted put out and basically let me know that I expected way too much. The other gentleman that was doing another lady's nails looked up and said well you never asked his how long it would take! This is the first nail salon I've been to since moving to the area about a year ago. I made an appointment to get a dip manicure done this past weekend. When I showed up for my appointment, no one asked for my name or who I made the appointment with until I was 30 minutes into my manicure. I was just told to sit down and someone randomly started doing my nails. People were wearing masks but i didn't see any desks, chairs, or equipment being wiped down between clients. The steps for their dip pedicure were unusual to me (not necessarily wrong, just not what I'm normally accustomed to). The color turned out great, but a majority of my nails have debris or glitter trapped under the top coat. My technician kept leaving to answer the phone and check out other customers in the middle of applying layers (I get it, they're busy) but I felt extremely rushed. For a dip manicure being $40-$45, you'd expect better quality and closer attention to those details. Overall, the customer service was okay and my nail technician was very nice, but I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Hands down the best pedicure I've had to date! Kimberly took amazing care of me! She took care of those nasty hangnails I get on my big toes as gently as possible. She massaged a long time and did a wonderful job during that part... I almost fell asleep! She massaged very lightly during the sugar scrub part as my skin can be sensitive when scrubbed too hard. I loved this place. Very professional and relaxing. It might only be me, but I hate going to a salon where the technicians engage you in stupid, personal small talk or where they are shouting and laughing with each other as if you didn't exist. My tech was very sweet and polite and gentle where needed. The leg and foot massages were well worth the extra fee. She took her time and had just the right amount of pressure. *WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE!!* When I arrived, the store was empty and that should have been a sign, but I inquired and was told that acrylic full set was $45. I then signed up to do the full set as advertised, and also change the nail polish on my feet. The guy who attended to me, was also the person who got assigned to do my nails. This man, asian, was blatantly rude to me and challenged every suggestion i made while he worked on my nails , even raising his voice at me when I tried to comment on the shape of nail that I wanted. It was quite unsettling. At the end of the session when it was time to pay, he told me I had to pay extra $20 since he used no chip nail polish instead or regular, making it a total of $65. I have never been to a nail salon where you were charge extra for nail polish when you do an acrylic full set, so I tried to question him about it, asking him why he didnt mention this fact to me before i started doing my nails. This man told me that I didnt ask in detail and so I should either pay the quoted amount or sit so he can take off the chip nail polish and use regular instead. When I mentioned I didn't have time for that, he told me I was making trouble and said he would call the police. I got upset and told him I would wait for the police because he was being unnecessarily combative. He dialed a number which I do not know but he claimed was 911 and started to spew tales on how I refused to pay for services. Unfortunately, the police did not show up. My husband who came, then cajoled me to pay the quote since we had other errands to run and that was how we left the place. The most upsetting part was when I gave him the card for payment and he asked me for my ID to check if my signature matched the card, saying that he had to be careful with my kind. WTF?! what does that even mean? My kind being the fact that I am black??? This incident really ruined my day . I have never experienced such terrible service in my life.
