I've gone to this salon twice now and both times my acrylics came out amazing!! The staff is very friendly from the owner Keke who chatted with me, applied and shaped my nails, and put on a nature documentary for me, to the gentleman who takes extra care on my pedicures (even if it's just basic white they're always gorgeous and so clean), to Kathy who has yet to let me down with a set and always shares ways she thinks my design choice could look even better (and they always do)! I want to start off by saying that I normally don't feel the need to post reviews but I felt that I needed to for Ann's! I believe the owner or manager was the woman who helped me pick my nail color, she was extremely nice and I will 100% go back to see her. The nail salon itself was clean, pretty, and professional. This was my first time coming here and I enjoyed the location as a whole. For that, I would give 5 stars. However, my nail tech was a male, I believe his name was Kevin? He was not very friendly and actually rude for a moment, which I didn't appreciate. Not only did I have to have him fix multiple nails throughout my appointment but I asked him a simple small-talk question, "So how long has this place been open?" And his face, response, and tone were all so rude. He responded, "I don't know I just work here." As if he was annoying that I asked him anything. After that I tried not to talk to him. He seemed to be antisocial with me which didn't sit well with me. I would give my experience with him 2 stars. Overall, I'll probably be back but I will definitely not be going to get my nails by him. That wasn't a great first impression at all. Katie is very meticulous, I hope I never have to go anywhere else. She took the time to shape the top of the nail after finishing the dip process, so it was perfectly smooth. Because the top and all of the edges are so smooth, the last set Katie gave me looked good for three weeks and still wasn't catching my hair. I can wear them much longer than sets from other salons which have raised, jagged, or peeling edges after about a week and a half. read more

Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. My mom and I had appointments at 2pm on Friday (6/30/23). When I called, I had spoke to the owner about options for my nails, my nails are real short (nail biter ‍). I wanted tips put on and then the dip on top. I've had this before at MANY other salons. Once I got there, the guy I had (middle aged, glasses) immediately said I couldn't do that. He proceeded to tell me I could only do a full set with no chip. I have never had this before but eventually after going back and forth I agreed. He rushed me to pick out colors. He actually brought the basket to the chair and had me look with one hand while he did the other?? He was so rough and hurt me several times with filing and the nail grinding machine. He filed so hard that the filer was bending. He kept making unnecessary comments about my nail biting habit. He rushed through the whole process. My pink finger nail is crooked and curved upwards (looks ratchet). He made the comment of "oh you're nails must grow so fast, they've already grown since the time I started" like no you just did a shitty job. I was so annoyed and just wanted to get out of there. I let it go. He didn't let me pick out my color for my toes and instead brought me 3 shades of his choosing. I said no, I'm picking it out. I was just doing a color change on my toes, so he started to clean off the old polish (teal), trimmed my nails, and applied the new color (royal blue). Well he couldn't get off the teal polish off one toe, so he just went over it with the new color? It has been 2 days, and many of my toe nail polish has chipped or came off. Almost every nail salon was closed today 1/02/23, w/the exception of this salon. I am appreciative they took me as a walk in as they were busy. I give this salon 3.5- 4.0 stars for the affordable prices. & 2.5-3.0 stars for the actual look of my nails. The nails I got done here typically cost me $100 w/tip included. I paid $62 w/tip at this nail salon ( big perk). I assume they specialize is square shape nails or more dated nails. I saw the photos for the round/oval nails here & they were thick & oddly shaped.. just how my nails look after getting them done here. The square nails in these reviews in my opinion look like duck feet (also not cute). I prefer thinner nails & even coat of nail polish. Instead I got really thick gel full set, with even thicker polish. The round shape I asked for are ugly. However, I bet these suckers won't break how thick they are . Can't wait to lay another $20 to make them look pretty. read more

I was not happy with my experience here. I was part of a group appointment that had an "appointment" at 11. I wanted to spend some quality time with the girls before a wedding and was assured that we would be together. I arrived ten minutes early and they had already taken my mother who had arrived somewhat earlier. I waited with my daughter. They kept taking clients when I thought an appointment meant you had precedence over walk ins. But this was not the case. My party was not together, they started my daughter's no chip manicure 20 minutes after our appointment time with no apologies of being behind. I was told my daughters nails were too short. But she gets a no chip every other month to help control nail biting. I thought the point of getting a manicure was to clean up the nails and make them look ok -- and it helps nail biters not bite. I have never had a tech tell me that her nails were too short to work on. After 45 minutes I was still not taken. I'm on limited time with a child. She wasn't going to hang around after she was done. And I didn't intend to spend hours at a nail salon. So once my daughter finished I decided we needed to go because we had other things to do! They say they are done with her and I was shocked at how bad my daughters nails are. I tried to justify it by saying "well her nails are short." But thinking back, we've never had her nails look this bad at any other salon we've been to! There is no chip top coat all over her fingers. I tell the tech and she acted surprised and asked me "where" and took her back to take it off. But guess what? This wasn't caught on time and she went under the light and it hardened. So now she's got hardened top coat and glitter all over her hands. I needed to leave because I've never seen such a poor job done in a salon setting. Kids are easy to please and my daughter cried on the way home saying it looked messy and she was nervous her hands would look yucky for the wedding. You know it's bad when a kid complains. I realize -- since she's a nail biter I don't want her to have the top coat on her fingers because what if she accidentally eats it? She tells me her fingers feel "tight from the glue." And uncomfortable. At that point Im already behind schedule. But I was so outraged I went to the nail salon I always go to -- and they had to remove everything because they couldn't believe how messed up the polish was and how much was on her fingers! They also had no problems manicuring and painting her nails that were deemed "too short" at Ann's. I'll include photos. read more

I just left Ann's Nails extremely DISAPPOINTED. I was charged $60 dollars plus a $6 tip, which would not have been a problem except for the fact that my nails did NOT MATCH. My nails were done by Ann THE OWNER. The nails on my left hand were significantly longer than the nails on my right. I had to return to Ann's to ask her to fix my nails, which she did after having me wait for 20 minutes. My nails are not great now, but they are somewhat better. Ann would not give me any form of a refund or an apology, which proves further that she does not care about your nails only about money. I do not recommend going to Ann's nails. She charges too much for the bad services that she supplies. Instead try Pink Hair in Bloomingdale and ask for Lucy. Lucy charges $30 for nails and will give you any design that you want for no extra charge. She is a fun and bubbly person to talk to while you get your nails done and you will always leave smiling. Update: My nails all needed to be repaired and some peeled off between the two weeks before my nails were redone. Do not go to Ann's nails. read more

I came in here randomly bc it close to my home. The first lady I had, it was hard to communicate with her. My nails came out pretty but chipped the next day. Litererally just peeled off the next day. Then I went in for a pedicure That's been fine. The lady who fixed my nails was a bit rude in the beginning in bee cell phone. It is literally the rudest thing you can do to a paying customer. Either finish your call and then take me or let it go to voicemail. Inhad to ask if she was going to be in the phone bc the. I would rather wait for someone else.There were also children running in here where in an adult atmosphere, you're trying to come in for a relaxing experience. This place is absolutely terrible!! If I could give them zero stars I would. I went there twice and got regular manicures. Both times the polish lasted less than 2 days because it clipped immediately, and I told both techs that I had a broken nail and my words went ignored. There was no attempt to fit it. The TV is blaring - this is supposed to be a relaxing experience and it was anything but. The last time I was in there - the tech ruin my $400 Gucci wallet by picking it up with some sort of chemical on her hands. I know she was trying to be helpful - but WTF. I work hard for my money and I have to now replace my wallet and have had two terrible manicures that were a waste of money!! Live and learn - never again!! read more

I normally have had a great experience here but after today I don't think I will be returning. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago and confirmed the day. My friend called the next day and added herself on to the same day. Upon arrival at the salon we were seated for our pedicures, mid pedicure I was called out by the owner herself for apparently coming on the wrong day and wrong time? I was told my appointment was for the previous day which was a mistake on their end as I worked the previous day. Being called out publicly in front of everyone was not only unprofessional but very rude. The pedicure was great but then my friend and I both got a dip manicure, we were only given the dip polish and no manicure had been done. No cuticle trimming, massage or anything and it was very rushed. I still had powder and glue on my nails everywhere at the end and the dip was done by the owner. I am very disappointed with the visit today and how we were treated in the beginning. I hope others have a better experience than this but I won't be returning. read more

Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment and had no trouble getting in right away. I got a dip powder polish I was pleasantly surprised with the precision the guy doing my nails had! He was incredible and very speedy which I appreciated. The service was only $35 since I just got powder without the full manicure experience. The only criticism I had is that most of the dip powder color options are darker colors and very similar. I came in the nail shop with my son to get my nails done. Ann started to talk to me and asked me if he was my brother. I told her that he was my son. Awful awful. I came in to get dip and I asked for nail tips since I like mine longer. The nail tech kept telling me my nails are already long and I don't need extensions. After telling her 3 times I like them to be longer, she finally pulls them out and says it'll be $5 extra, which I was fine with. The worst was when she started shaping my nails. Every single one of my nails is a different size and shape and looks like am 8 year old tried filing them. I kept telling her multiple times to fix certain nails to which she would loudly SIGH and start talking to the other tech in their language. What was I thinking!?!? While in the burbs I needed a mani pedi. After reading Yelp reviews in the area I was at, I decided that Ann's Nails looked the best. Yeps...I should've drove the extra 15 minutes. The place is your typical strip mall nail salon. Nothing amazing or outstanding. The chairs were massaging and they had tables on the arms of the chairs. Nice. The pedicure its self was pretty quick. The foot and leg massage was pretty good. Looking around I noticed I was the only client who had natural nails. This was a red flag for me. Having naturally long nails in nail salons where fake nails are common can be an issue. Most nail techs won't cut my nails (they say too pretty) and for some reason always want to do a round nail shape. Keep in mind, if you've naturally long nails and type a lot, then you will want more of squoval or square nails. These two nail shapes have reinforces your nails naturally, nails do not break or chip as easy, and of course easier to take out your contacts. This is where all the trouble began. When it was mani time, I told the nail tech squoval, described the shape, and showed her my nails. Instead she starts filing my nails into a round shape. So I stop her to tell her how I want it done and how to file it. She agrees and starts filing it round again. So again, I stopped her and clarified with her how I want the shape and if she understood. She said yes, starts filing but files it square but crooked. As a last a resort, I ask for the nail file, no way I am paying 45 bucks to have crooked nails, and begin filing. Her manager comes over and asks me what shape would I like. Keep in mind we've been playing this game for a good 15-20 minutes. So I tell her squoval; she nods and begins telling the nail tech how to file it properly. Manager leaves and my nail tech goes back to round shape. Gahhh....I asked for the file and I shaped and filed my own nails. Now I can understand why Foxxy Brown went bananas in the nail shop!! Needless to say, the paint job on my fingers were horrible. You could see the brush strokes and paint all around the sides outside of the nail. I think I've painted my own nails drunk before way better than this manicure. read more

I went here based on the recommendations and all that I can say is they must be writing their own reviews. This was the worst pedicure and manicure I have ever received. They refused to cut my toes short as I asked (probably so that I would have to make more frequent visits) and I developed an ingrown toenail. On top of that my no chip manicured fingernails looked like I had "Bowling balls" on my fingertips! They painted it on so thick, it looked ridiculous. When I went in the next day, they were rude with me, and had the audacity to want to charge me to remove the polish. Then began speaking in their native tongue among each other about me. This is the only nail salon in the area that I go to. They are sanitary and professional. They open the clean tools in front of you and clean the tubs right after your pedicure. They consistently do a great job. I always get a nail fill and pedicure. I always get compliments and recommend everyone to this place. Give it a try! Horrible. Can't believe this place is still open. When I looked away, the tech dropped something quickly Into the water making a splash. As I looked back, the tech gave me the most guilty wretched look. I was confused by this being my first pedicure. It was a brush. After my pedicure, my toe nails turned colors then to black and fell off...one by one. It was horrible. My guess is, the brush was used and I picked up whatever was on that used brush.
