I've been going to Top Nails for quite a while now. I've always been greeted warmly and had excellent service no matter what I'm getting done. I've had their manicures, pedicures, no chip, and dip services. I have been very happy with how my nails have turned out. I do have to kind of go over the shape I like a bit but they really do aim to please. Usually no or short wait for walk-ins. read more

STAY AWAYYY!!!! They do an AWFUL job and the owner and the tech were the worst. super rude, rough with my nails, were giving me orders bc i told them she was being too rough on my nails bc they hurt. they said there was something wrong with my nails. WORST NAIL SALON IVE BEEN TO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. and on top of it all... my nails look like crap. and, blamed it on my fingers. STAY AWAY. Dont bother, stay away. consider this a favor read more

I write this as I wait in the front for them to fix the crappy job they did. A no chip polish change on Friday (today is Monday). She finished within 22 minutes (which I know to be half the usual time) and within 24 hours, most of my nails cracked down to the quick. Because she only did two thin coats of no chip color. My nails bend! She filed them so much and applied such thin coats that my nails are thinner and weaker than if I had no polish on them at all. I called and complained. We arranged the time I would come in to show the male manager. Despite that, I've been waiting 20 mins. He blamed my thin nails. She told me that in the future I need to ask for three coats. (I've been coming for a year but after the bad job and rude treatment, I won't be back) They are alleging it is somehow MY fault. See the pics of my broken nails. Do you think the thickness looks right? If it was any thinner it would be cell membranes. read more

I've been going to this nail salon on and off for about two years and usually it looks really nice but today I felt rushed. I set an appointment for 930 for a full set and a pedicure after my pedicure was done. The nail tech was working on another lady so I had to wait in the chair for about 30 to 40 minutes After I finally got seated for my full set. A customer came in needing a nail fixed and she stopped mine completely, and hers and I was sat there feeling pretty awkward and neglected after a deep breath and she decided to come back working on me another customer came in and said she needed a work done and that's when I felt like my nail technician started to rush because she's done nicer work than this before and I can tell that I was not a priority, which was disheartening. Also it's gotten a little bit overpriced. read more

Went there twice, once for nails. They appeared to have done a great job. I decided to go on the next day to get a pedicure. I was not asked what type of pedicure I wanted. I am not from the area and assumed that this was standard until I saw a booklet with various services. Technician rushed through the pedicure. I was in and out within a span of almost 30 min. The tech because of the speed, caused pain several times. Absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, my nails started peeling the day after the pedicure. The nail tech did not allow my nails to stay in the light the full amount of time. I am assuming that this was the reason that they started peeling. The nail tech was nice. Would not recommend this facility, perhaps the sloppy work was due to it being in the late evening. Thumbs down Top Nails. read more

They are a SCAM. Extremely rude, arrogant and deceitful business. They yelled at my family when my family attempted to use a gift card. They even threatened them!! Prior to my family's arrival, the owner mentioned they accept gift cards. Is this how we treat ladies, especially around the holidays? Whoever is reading this review, know that the business will be reported to the Better Business Bureau!! (BBB). I also have thousands of followers on social media and will be informing them as well to NEVER USE YOUR BUSINESS. read more

I went to top nails yesterday for my first time super excited to get my nails done for my upcoming trip. I called beforehand, asking if they were able to do dip with tips they told me yes. I get there and I am offered a book of colors with dip options. Since it was my first time, I thought that this was the only dip options they had, kind of disappointed with the color selection, so I picked a color I was ok with. As I was getting my nails done, the lady was great. she asked what shape I wanted and I told her skinny oval. Throughout the process I was checking my nails and asking her if she could shape them a little thinner and less bumpy and she told me that she wasn't done she will do that. The end result was not what I was expecting. The shape is not to my liking, but it's been a while since I got my nails done so I thought ok let me see and wait they might grow on me. I paid and left.. I called this morning, expressing my concerns on not liking the shape in hopes of getting it fixed and I was told that it was my fault for picking the shape, and that I made her sit through an hour of work just to not like it. If I wanted the shape to be fixed, I would only get five dollars off (paying $50 instead of $55) I told the man that I paid for a service I did not receive, and I really hope he would take into consideration on making his customer happy and fixing their nails. He kept expressing that it was my fault and i'd have to pay again... Truly, the customer service is horrendous. I have never experienced anything like this at any nail salon I've been to. The hostility towards their customers and putting the blame on them is totally not ok. definitely reconsider going somewhere else before you come here if you are wanting to feel appreciated as a customer. read more

I love their nails so much! I've been going here for so long and they always do so good

Went in there to get 1 nail fixed. The service was unprofessional and rude. Never have I treated like a green alien before in my life! The lady had a customer in her booth as she asked me what I needed. I showed her my nails. She looked me up and down, then started talking her language to a guy who then seriously looked me up and down and told me a half hour with a laugh behind it. Just because I take great care of myself .... DON'T NEED TO JUDGE! I type over 75 words a minute and can't with a nail broke! So I saw this salon in the same area where I met my girls for breakfast. Tried to give them business... what a joke! We're ALL created equal! I don't treat ppl less than or GUCCI than differently... so neither should you! read more

I first want to say I've tried several places before finding this one that right around the corner. Very friendly! Very clean. I got Kathy and just love her! She is my nail lady!! I got the no chip nail tips. She shaped them just how I want. I've been going here for the last few months and I'm very happy with them. My last fill was for 4th of July. Ive been very busy and have had these on for 7 weeks! They're still on and strong! Crazy! I highly recommend this nail salon. read more

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and had a great experience!! I'd called beforehand and they let me know to come towards end of day when it would be less busy. Got my nails done with Mei -- she was fantastic! She was very patient with what I wanted and even let me place the gems on my nails myself, so that they would be to my liking. They were thorough and took their time to finish my nails, even though it went a few minutes past closing. I often times feel uncomfortable at nail salons, but everyone here was so kind and welcoming! Will definitely come again! read more

I love Top Nails. It's been my go-to place since moving to Roselle. The prices are amazing and they really take their time with the pedicures. It's an all out calf massage. I typically upgrade to the hot stone massage, which is still a great price. I think $32. Can't beat it. I will always come back here! read more

Smack dab in the downtown of Roselle, right next to the metra, is Top Nails. Prices are pretty standard market wise. A standard pedicure is $25 and I believe my gel, no-chip manicure was $35... Lots of paint colors, massage chairs, gossip mags... no calluses! Was able to just walk in and get immediate service. Awesome. read more

I would not even give this place a one star. My aunt and I came here for pedicures. The lady that my aunt had was hurting her toe and would not stop until she pulled something off her toe. The lady I had painted my toenails and didn't want to clean up the nail polish off my skin! She was very rude about it when I asked her to fix and even when she did it still looked bad. She then took my shoes and dropped them on the floor next to the drying station. After about 5 minutes she asked me to pay and helped me put my shoes on but my nails weren't dry and there was also no clear coat put on either! I would not recommend coming here for pedicures. read more

This place is okay, decent pricing & usually no wait or a short wait for walk ins. Got my eyebrows threaded here the other day & the lady drew blood on both brows which shouldn't happen- but beauty is pain & my brows look great! Still, shouldn't have bled. I also got a acrylic nails& the shape is great other than one that is much too boxy but the paint job itself could definitely be approved- maybe it was the paint I chose but I'll be redoing it myself. Staff is friendly but don't really talk. Still, good for the money but definitely not a top pick of mine read more

I have been going to this salon for a few years now, and they never disappoint. Mai has been a wonderful nail tech. She is pleasant and does the designs better than anyone I have ever had. But, Mai is my go to nail tech. read more

i used to come here but then i stopped for awhile and decided to give it a try again. I don't come in often in the winter but needed a pedicure. Came in and was greeted by a little Asian man, not the people who have been here for several years. So it was a big surprise. They did a little redecorating but the warmth and frieof the place is gone. The little man must be some type of owner/manager as he's watching everyone, looking over shoulders, making me uncomfortable. Used to be 5 Stars, only 2 now. Things got worse. Got a pedicure today, no lotions no massage. She only did my feel and painted my nails. read more

Horrible. I got the dip powder 4 days ago, and my nails look like they were done a month ago.

Disappointed. Was there for 2 hours getting a simple mani/pedi. I get it they were busy. But then at least 5 people were finished before me who came after me. The person they put me with was so slow. My polish was super thick and she left glops of it under my nails. She also filed my toenails so short it started to hurt. My manicure was ruined since she left me to my own at the drying table and to put my own sandals on. I didn't bother saying anything. I just needed to get out of there. They also don't sterilize the tools after each client. read more

Went early Saturday morning for a mani and a pedi. The pedicure was very mediocre, the lady did not do a good job at all cleaning up my cuticles or even painting my nails. The amount of polish was very inconsistent on each toe-nail. My mani was the worst though. I came in with long, pretty nails and I told her just to file them a little bit to get a consistent shape. She cut my nails down so short and then filed them horribly, I left the salon with little bits of nails half filed off, the edges of my nails didn't even have polish on them, and she was so rough the entire time. Never going back there again, what a waste of my money. read more

Do NOT go here! Probably the worst nail salon I have ever been to! The service is atrocious. I get no chip manicures quite frequently, so going in and asking for one I know what to expect. The lady who did mine first off SNEEZED INTO HER HANDS, did NOT wash them, then wanted to proceed doing my nails. DISGUSTING! Then she just went about filing my nails into whatever shape she desired. When I asked for round she clearly was unsure how to do that because each nail is a different shape. Then while painting there were either clumps or bubbles in the paint on multiple fingers. When I pointed it out she got flustered and kept repeating "It's fine.".... I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited and eventually I had to tell her after another coat there were still bubbles/clumps in the polish. She finally took care of the problem and it was fine... She only put 3 thin coats of the color polish on, and you can see the brush strokes/divots in most nails. At that point I was so fed up I just wanted it to leave. Then after all of this, at the end the paint dried sharply at the tips of my nails and she chuckled when I asked her to file it down. Needless to say there was no tip given and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. For how much they charge they'd better find people who are actually qualified to do the job correctly. Biggest waste of time and my hard earned money. read more

I went there for the first time last week and it was amazing! Cathy did my pedicure and it was worth every penny if not more, the massage was great, she even offered a design at the end at a small cost but so worth it, she paid great attention to details but is really efficient while doing so, the pedicure wasn't rushed at all. I highly recommend this place, everything was clean, staff was nice and I love the atmosphere the shop gives unlike the other salons I've been to. The price was relatively cheap, I will be coming back and i suggest you start going too! read more

I love this place! They changed locations from a previous place, and I am glad I found them. The people working there are very friendly, especially the husband and wife who owns the store. They do an excellent job. The owner takes his time in doing nails, and while he does it very well, his wife does an incredible job on designs (and overall too). They care about making the customers happy. read more

Worst nail experience ever! I went in for a mani-pedi and the girl rushed the whole time. She put products on and then promptly wiped them off. Waste! She got up to get a hot towel, placed it on my legs, taps my legs 4 times and removed the towel. 5 seconds. What's the point? The massage consisted of her running her hands up and down my calves a few times. She didn't even touch my feet! The massage is my favorite part and she pretty much skipped it. Then I looked down and one of my toes was bleeding. Ugh! The manicure was no better and none of it was relaxing! If it wasn't bad enough, she put lotion on my hands (again a 10 second massage) and painted my nails without wiping the lotion off my nails. I'm no expert but I think that the polish will not adhere as well if its applied on top of lotion. I walked out feeling like I paid $35 to get my nails painted. Sadly, my nails don't have that manicured look either. They look like I painted them myself and I anticipate they will chip prematurely. Never going back! read more

Love this place!! I live all the way in hanover park and I drive down to Roselle for my nails. The staff is very polite and they do a fabulous job on all services. I typically go in for a full set w/ no chip, and I am always satisfied. Vivian also does a great job on eyebrows and nail art. The prices are reasonable when compared to other salons. Tools are steralized and cleaned after every use (based on observation). I recommend this nail salon to all my friends and family. Weekends do get a bit busy (like any other nail salon). I suggest going early in the morning on a Friday...or Mon-Thurs. I think prices are discounted on Mon-Wed. Overall, I highly recommend Top Nails. read more

After going to the same place for over 10 years, they were unfortunately closed temporarily. Went to this location as I've been there a couple times before. It took forever, I was nicked twice causing bleeding, the polish has streaks in it and after 2 days the acrylic chipped off one of my nails while opening a Ziploc bag. For as much as I want to go back to address the situation, there were too many things that went wrong that I don't want to deal with it. read more

You will not find a nicer, cleaner, friendlier, or more reasonably priced nail salon anywhere. I have been going here for at least ten years and I have never been disappointed with a visit. Vivian and Long are so wonderful and hard working. Just tonight, my mom and I came in around 7:15 (they close at 8) and I watched them take on 4 more customers who came in right around 7:50. Not to mention the upgrades they've made to the salon over the last few years really make this place comparable to any expensive salon out there. My favorite thing about this place? Vivian even does eyebrow threading! Definitely a gem of a small business here in Roselle. read more
