HORRIBLE I decided to give this salon a chance under the new ownership since I had been a customer when the previous owners were there. Unfortunately, my experience this time was very disappointing. While a few of the staff members were pleasant, the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. I witnessed employees discussing customers in front of other clients, particularly when someone asked for a correction or was unhappy with something. That kind of behavior is unprofessional and made me uncomfortable being there. Unfortunately, I was also unhappy with the service I received. If I could give this establishment zero stars, it still would be too much. The audacity this salon had to pull the nonsense they did today is absolutely unacceptable. They communicated one price over the phone and after I got there and got done (after waiting 55 mins when they said 20 mins wait), they decided to fight about a few mere dollars. The level of cheapness was something I have never experienced. To fight over $8-10 overall and lose customers is beyond my comprehension. Very nice technicians but it was actually the worse mani/pedi I've ever had. Feet were still dry as they barely used moisturizer on my actual feet and they did not do a great job removing dead/dry skin. I appreciated that they did not whip out the grater but I felt they could have done a better job. As for my hands, no hand massage, no moisturizer and after drying I noticed polish on my skin in several nails. One of the techs fixed them and I mentioned not getting a massage or moisturizer but? Nothing. I also realized they do not use the plastic pedicure covers in the pedi bowls for better sanitation. Saw one tech cleaning it out with a sponge and then putting that sponge in a drawer to be used again. Just kinda gross. No sanitation solution or disinfection solution was used. Just popped a new towel on and ready for the next client. UPDATE: I stated facts on what I saw & experienced. Perhaps you need to re-read my review. No where did I say that moisturizer was not used for my pedicure. I said barely. I NEVER told my tech I did not have time for lotion or massage that's just a flat out not true. If you are referring to the tech who fixed my nails after I already sat under the lamp for 10 minutes before noticing the polish all over my hands? Then I was misunderstood. According the Illinois State Board of Professional Regulations section 1175. c) Pedicure Equipment Cleaning and Disinfecting Procedures The following procedures, as developed by the International Nail Technicians Association, shall be followed for all pedicure equipment, such as whirlpool pedicure foot spas, self-contained foot basins, sinks and pedicure bowls: 1) After each client: A) Drain all water from the foot spa, pedicure basin or bowl; B) Clean the interior surfaces and walls of the foot spas or basin with soap or detergent to remove all visible debris; rinse with clean, clear water; C) Disinfect by spraying the interior surface of the foot basin or bowl with either an EPA-registered disinfectant (demonstrated bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal activity used according to manufacturer's instructions) or 10% bleach solution; and D) Wipe dry. That was not done. That is a FACT. Although you may have felt personally affected by my review this was a review of your business. If you see my profile, I have only written positive reviews so I am not in a habit of being dishonest or bashing businesses. Next time you decide to respond to a review accusing the client of not stating facts you might want to think a bit more about that. read more

I am so pleased. I went here about a year ago and got a mani pedi that literally chipped within two days. I swore I would never go back. My mom just went two months ago to hear there was NEW OWNERS. She said that they were good so I had to check it out! It was amazing! I get my acrylics done here every two weeks and the same guy does them. Qyuen was amazing! Took my kids for their first nail salon experience. We didn't plan it and walked in near closing. They happily started a full acrylic set on my teenager and were very efficient and kind. Good conversation (and not too much) personable, nails look amazing. Did a quick polish on my preteen at closing which put us out over their normal closing time and no one batted an eyelash. Usually if you're near closing shops will turn you away. They were very accommodating and sweet. My kids laughed and had a great first experience. This is not the same TK nails. They are under new management and have all new techs. The place is very clean but the service is horrible! Do not waste your time or money!! I went in for a manicure and I wanted my nails cut down and the tech did not want to do it he kept asking if I was sure. I think that I would know what I want. The way he cut them we're not even and he kept catching my skin in the clippers. He didn't work on my cuticles, no lotion or hand massage after he was done. Total time was under 10 mins. Nice place but terrible manicure. Two cuts on my cuticle; nail polish is chipping off in chunks less than two days after. Nearly half of the bottles of polish were half or more empty and thick. Pedicure was rushed and looks like it. I would recommend you find another salon. read more
