Today was my first time getting a no chip mani by Mora and goodness idk what took me so long to request her! She is phenomenal - really pays attention to detail, cares about what the customer wants and is super friendly. I'm very indecisive with what color to pick and she constantly helps me make a final decision and I have been happy thus far. I highly recommend her for no chip manis. read more

I've loved this place for months. However, mid day Tuesday must not be their day. I was serviced by a woman (hispanic) I've never seen before. I went for a dip nail refreshing. Not only did the appointment take an hour and 40 minutes..the results were below par. Dip applied like acrylic. I usually see Luke..but maybe this woman was new. 4 heavy coats of powder, uneven filing and nail edges. Plenty of product left under the nail. I asked for corrections but it came to the point where I asked to skip the hand massage bc I had to be back at work. Usually a dip fill takes an hour to an hour 5 TOPS. I love this place bc it's so close to my work..but maybe it's time search elsewhere read more

Obsessed with this salon, everyone is so helpful and talented. High quality nails that don't come up at the corners even when you are due for a fill! I have half a toenail and they created the rest out of acrylic so I don't have to hide my foot They also are really good about fitting you in for an appointment with a little heads up. read more

My nail tech did exactly what I asked for. He had great attention to detail and made all of my nails the same length and shape. The nails were filed down to the point where they aren't too thick, so I think they look really good. When they did something I didn't like, I asked them to change it and they were happy to do so. This full-set acrylic cost $32, which seems like a really good price given the great service the salon provided. read more

This was the first time at this nail spa. I came to see my longtime nail technician Jason. He does an amazing job. He is very particular in his work and finishes things off well and is very exact. I had a powder dip and it looks great. Very reasonably priced less than I have ever paid. Parking is available in the front of spa. read more

BEST PLACE EVER! I 10/10 recommend! ask for Reagan. He's one of the only nail technicians I trust. He does an amazing job and takes his time. I am a very picky person when it comes to my nails and he has never failed to give me the exact look I want. I have changed my color and design on him serval times and he is very understanding and helpful. I ask for his opinion on designs and colors and he gives me the best advise and does a great job. The service is amazing. I have done a walk in once and they were very sweet about it. I've been making appointments ever since so I can have my own time slot. Best nails at the best prices. I recommend this nail salon to all of my friends and they ALL loved it and always go there for their nails. Amazing salon! They definitely listen to what you want and will get the job done perfectly! read more

My daughter and I have been going to v v nails in Schaumburg for over a year. I called to make an appointment today and they told me they do not want to take our business anymore because we bite our nails. I cannot believe a business that does nails is losing two clients because they may have to put "new" nails on or fix them, which we pay for and religiously go every two weeks! It's not like they don't charge us for broken nails. I am appalled by this nail salon. Beware once you get comfortable with a nail tech, they may do the same thing to you. A few of the nail techs have left from another local salon, and went to this salon. Not sure what's going on, but beware. read more

I give VV Nails 5 stars! They do a Fabulous job and are really friendly! I haven't had a manicure in over 1 year and a half and Jerry did a SPECTACULAR job!! I hope he is able to do my nails soon once again! But they are always busy when I take my mom in there to get her pedicures done. And sometimes he's booked for a few hours. I will definitely be returning for another relaxing manicure soon! read more

Really like this place now. I've been coming here on and off for years. I like the recent remodeling, along with the fact that the TV is set to TV shows/programs and not the news. Nothing more stressful than getting your nails done and being subjected to mainstream media. All the techs do a good job and they are very reasonably priced. I only get regular manicures and pedicures, can't speak for the other services. read more

**VV nails schaumburg location to be avoided! I'll share my story, actually quite funny in hindsight. I went into the salon on a Sunday to have Lee fix 2 chipped nails; having had a full set done only 4 days earlier. Two week guarantee. One relevant point; I'm not rough on my nails. No other customer in the salon at that time. Both nail techs were on their iPads. No big deal. I walk in and say I'm there for a quick nail repair. Lee mutters something in Vietnamese and the other girl laughs. Again, no big deal other than I say "it's funny that I may not speak Vietnamese but I know that you're talking about me and i know it's not good." She doesn't say anything and certainly doesn't bother to deny that. I go further and say that I've always suspected that all the nail techs are laughing at their clueless clients! Myself included! Lol...again she's not denying it! She's a bit rough on my nails and i can see that she's not happy. I say that I've never had so many problems with chipped nails and maybe they're too thin. Then I tell her that's it's very rude to talk badly about the customers while they're present. Have at it after I'm done but while I'm there, please respect me as I respect her. I tell her that I won't bother going back after this episode. She says "good" and that she doesn't need such a picky customer! Ha! How's that for customer service?! I'm not picky, just expect them to last two weeks! read more

I LOVE VV NAILS! I've been going here for at least 7yrs! Lee & Jerry are my absolute favorite to get my manicures from! Lee's husband give amazing pedicures as well! They last so much longer & look amazing! read more

NEW OWNERS They have sold the place again. This time the new owners changed the prices and hours. Many people have been going there for years... My mom and I went there for a very long time. Super rude employees and are starting to over charge. I have talked to multiple people and they have been doing gel instead of acrylic and then charging you more ! Not even telling you they are doing gel, but charge you ! A fill used to be $15 and now it's $18. They are charging 30 extra to put no chip on acrylic ! That's $20 more than the other owners. Yet they don't even tell you they changed the prices. HORRIBLE PLACE! Sad to see such a good nail salon go like this. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF ! read more

I tried this place for the first time last month. The man that did my nails did not do a great job. I wanted the shape to be the very pointed shape. He was making them square! So now they were shorter and they ended up more oval or almond shaped. I decided to also get a pedicure. It was average. Not too great of a massage and I still had calluses under my feet. I will not go back read more

I do not come here anymore & I can definitely see why. However, my 14 yr old wanted a dip powder manicure & I know this place charges $30 compared to the salon I frequent which is $45 w/out tip. I decided to save some cash & bring my teen here. Let me describe our visit. Firstly , we get here and without an appointment I knew we would possible hv to wait. So I asked how long was the wait? The lady nearest to the door said 10 min. Secondly, 15 min pass and my daughter is taken to the back to be seated @ the table with the manicurist , she is ready 4 her dip powder manicure and waits another 5 min. The manicurist starts to work on her, w/in 10 min another young lady walks in with an appointment. They actually stopped working on my daughter, & kicker her out of her seat!!! And brought her back to front to b seated til the next person was available. WTF?! In all the yrs I've been going 2 these salons I've never seen that! I've had appointments & no 1 has ever been kicked out of their seat after being worked on 2 take an appointment. Rude! Plain rude!! They were better off just telling me there was a 30 min wait. Thirdly, my daughters manicure was done at her chair at the waiting area while she held their machine! Really?! I even posted a pic in shock! They took her to a table just to polish her nails then sent her on her way! Idgaf how cheap this place is! They lack customer service big time & I won't put up with that unless I'm getting free service! Next time I won't be a cheap mom & I take my daughter to where I go so that she can experience what true customer service & gd work ethics! I can see if their work is gd, but it's below mediocre. Ladies & Gents, I don't leave many reviews, but when I do they are honest. If you want rude customer service because it's cheap & work is half ass this place is for you. Update: It's only been 5 days and there's already a chip! I paid for dip powder!! Way more sturdy than no chip polish. Typically last 1 week longer than a no chip. Smh! U lose a star, dirty, rude salon. Can't believe I gave u higher stars at 1 point. read more

I'm disappointed with this place. I used to come here in 2009, and am visiting my parents in town this weekend before a vacation, and didn't have time to do a mani/pedi, so I decided to come in to VV to get it done since it was always my go-to place. VV has changed a lot since 2009; the whole place is decorated to look like a Roman spa, complete with columns painted with chintzy gold paint and column-adorned manicure tables. That is about where the spa atmosphere ends, though. Unfortunately, staff were rude and unpleasant from the moment I walked in. I was rushed to select a color for my toes and then pressured into a "no chip" manicure. I prefer my nails natural, and I don't like the idea of putting something on them that is unhealthy or that I can't remove myself with a bottle of polish remover. Still, I was pressed with three different gel palettes and a powder palette by a woman who didn't understand me when I asked what a no chip manicure was, and kept pushing even after I had already given up on communication and selected regular nailpolish colors. I was asked multiple times to sit in the pedi chair before I had selected a color for my toes, and as a result, selected a color I am not happy with. Unfortunately, this person seemed to understand English less well than everyone else in the salon, and was the rudest person of all; she did not care what I wanted and only gave fake smiles when I was paying much later. The girl did a nice job on my nails (meaning, she painted them and didn't saw them off, with the exception of one nail which she forgot to shape completely and instead of apologizing for forgetting, complained that my nails were too short! -- they are short, but nowhere near my skin, still a good 1/8 inch or so). She was very rude throughout our interaction; she seemed to think I should understand and implicitly trust her. That just sounds like poor service, to me. When I tried to explain the cute stripe I wanted on the side of my nail with a different color (I really just wanted a 1/4 stripe, that's all), she rolled her eyes and didn't ask for clarification before she painted half of my nail with a different color. Don't people go to these places to get cute designs painted on their nails? Of course this is impossible when your manicurist doesn't understand and rolls her eyes at you!! It was the most tense experience I have ever had in a salon. Despite this, I still planned to leave a tip because she had performed a service for me; but she walked away after I signed my credit receipt, and I didn't press the issue. For once, I suppose I didn't have to leave a tip. read more

Wasn't gonna leave a review but every one convinced me.. 12:30 appointment full set acrylics was taken at 1:15. Asked for tapered squares showed multiple pictures gave me a super thin coffin and then preceded to rip off the nail since I said I didn't like it.... super painful btw. Then after fixing them asked if "they were good enough for me" ???? Bitchy much anyways i said yes and she started filing super aggressively where I started bleeding and i told her IM BLEEDING she said "ur fine" like wtf????? Okay anyways brushed it off my shoulder once again made me pay after putting me through so much pain and then... messed up my nail polish so much I could've just done it myself but don't worry I was still nice enough to tip her since I'll never be back to this establishment. Save yourself the trip and money go somewhere where they actually care for their customers. read more

I have been coming to this salon for years. I have seen it go through many, many renovations and staff changes. They are fairly decent. Today will be my last time coming to this salon. First, some of the younger girls are very sweet and nice. Unfortunately they barely have done my nails. I usually get an older woman with short hair - she is talented but does not listen nor care about what you want. Starting off, I requested a "coffin-shaped" nail, which they charge you an extra $5. A little ridiculous but whatever, I'll go with it. This lady only angled one side of the nail, and the other side is completely straight. When I asked her she said "later later". She never fixed it. I paid extra money for a nail shape I only HALF received.. ok... I was still willing to look over it. Then, I was telling the lady I wanted a forest green color. She had another girl bring out green colors for me, which was nice. I told her I wanted to test them out. For some reason, this lady had me open the bottles myself (one-handed, might I add) and test out the colors on a piece of paper towel. I thought this was useless, as color transferred onto white paper will look different than on a nail. Right at that moment, she drilled into my skin. I started bleeding, and she said sorry and dabbed some blood off with her paper towel. That was the extent of it. When I tell you the cut is deep, it is VERY deep for a drill cut. I can separate the skin and see clearly into the cut, about 2 or 3 layers of epidermis. I was shocked that she didn't even offer a discount since now my finger burns whenever I touch anything. And a salon experience should be pleasant. I shouldn't have to be digging for bandaids afterwards. After I got in my car, I noticed she left the acrylic paste all on my skin (pictures included). Rather than go back in and waste my time, I drove off and will never return again. Extremely disappointed. The 2nd stare I gave was for all the other girls who are actually nice and pleasant. read more

I would give this place zero stars. I went for a mani & pedi, which lasted less then 30 minutes. There was a women who was there before me, and I was done before her. * really great pedi - you get awesome massage chairs, and the guy was very meticulous & took a long time, give you let massage, exfoliating scrub, lotion, and i have a lot of blisters from sprots and the guy spent a lot of time on those. white tips are a tiny bit uneven but im being picky. no one looks at feet that carefully. only thing is he didnt ask me about the color for my french pedi and they are completely clear with white tips, which looks awkward when you dont have some sort of nude color. * horrible mani. the woman did the whole thing in under 5 minutes. as she was filiing my nails she was talking to customers walking in and not even looking at them. she filed them really unevenly and crooked as a result. it looks decent but i am a perfectionist w/ my nails. she was careful doing the white tips which is good because they stand out the most. my friend found mess-ups on her nails - bubbles, uneven white paint on the tips. it has lasted pretty well, over a week somehow. but i didnt like how careless she was. read more

Disappointed with this salon. My bridal party and I booked an appointment for 5 people, during the booking we asked if we can bring champagne, we were told yes. Not even 24 hours prior to our appointment we get a call saying that no we can't. Because it was too late to scout for a new place we decided to still go ahead and keep the appointment. I received a full set no chip gel, and within 24 hours the nail chipped, I had excess gel underneath the nail which wasn't filed properly, and one of my nails had to be removed and redone during the process. One of my bridesmaids received no chip gel and hers chipped as well. The prices are comparable, but not for the job completed - I paid $55 including tip. I don't suggest doing anything more than a basic manicure and a pedicure at this establishment. read more
