Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience with Glamour Nails. Though I went in 50 minutes before closing time, I didn't expect such a SUPER rushed pedicure. The technician only did two coats, and the shape was so strange. As other reviews have mentioned, the prices do not match the services. I paid an extra $6 or so to upgrade my regular pedicure, and it was literally just lotion covered in a towel while my feet soaked the normal time. There was no added massage, and barely any callous removal or massage to begin with. The location was convenient for me but I will likely not return. I gave this nail salon an opportunity to get a refund without writing a poor review but they must not of cared about their business enough. Everything these days costs a ridiculous amount (as we ALL know). I am someone who MAYBE gets my nails done a totally of 4 times a year because I consider it a TREAT. I went here to get a regular manicure for $20 while I was running weekend errands and instantly noticed how dirty the place looked. The nail tech got started without any greeting and finished the manicure in 9 minutes. She barely cut my cuticles, she left my nails rough and their were nail shavings in my nail polish. When I went to ask her to do another coat of nail polish she already was slapping on the top coat and I cringed and bit my tongue. I still tipped the nail tech but really questioned if it was worth it given I could do a better manicure at home. I emailed them when I got home because I saw how busy they were and didn't want to get into a fight over the phone. They never responded with giving me a refund and I even sent a follow up message. I will never be back. Treat your clients better. Clean your nail salon and don't be in a rush to get people out of the door. It takes effort to do something kind for yourself, the least you could do is a DECENT JOB! read more

I'm disappointed by my time at Glamour Nails today. My mom and I had 7pm appointments and they close at 8 (which should still be plenty of time just to get our nails done), but they rushed us the whole time. We went to go pick out our colors and within a minute a man came over and like "which one do you want?? This one. Okay. This one. Let's go. Go sit now." All of the workers have strong Vietnamese accents that are a bit difficult to understand. My nail technician rushed her whole work too. I had to point out to her that she hadn't taken off all of my old nail polish because she was just going to paint right over it. She never talked to me. She just pointed to the fan and the sink and such. Lastly, I'm disappointed in the work because I feel like she missed parts of my nails close to the cuticle... Another woman (who to be fair, was being difficult) was being mocked by a nail technician and it was the most awkward thing to sit next to. This place is awful! I've been getting my nails done for years, and I have never left a place as angry as I was yesterday. I normally wait to review places, because I don't want to say something when I'm angry, but I'm still livid. Because I look young and had no makeup on, they assumed I was a kid, and tacked on an extra, unexplainable charge to my acrylic fill for "taking off my old polish", and then told me I was lucky because they didn't charge me for "cutting my nails down". Are you serious? The guy, Ken, was sloppy and rushing, even though there was nobody waiting. My nails didn't even make it to the dryer before the polish started to bubble up. It was horrendous. Even though the place seemed busy I felt my technician really took her time with me. She massaged my legs and feet for a good amount of time and did a great job with the callous scrubbing. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure on Thursday last week, and had probably the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon here. I had to completely redo my own toenail polish when I got home, because it was so thick and sloppy, which I didn't realize how bad they were until I got home. My cuticles were completely destroyed, and she made me bleed several times. Being gentle or slowing down at all wasn't even a possibility, no matter how many times I audibly said "OW" and flinched. The middle finger on my left hand kept bleeding, even after she used the Liquid Styptic, because she was just SO rough with my hands. Then after the gel was applied, the "hand massage" I received included her snapping my fingers between hers, which was awful because my cuticles were already so raw. 3 days later on Saturday, the gel manicure started peeling. read more

This is the worst salon that I have ever been to! The employees boss you around in quick, unclear phrases and act like you should understand. They laugh at and talk about clients in a language other than English. I'm sorry, but if you are working directly with English-speakers, I think it is polite to speak English. Now about the service...my 16 year old went in to have acrylics removed and left burnt, ashamed, and unsatisfied. Six out of 10 nails still had the acrylics partially on (visibly seen, more than 1/2 of the nail, not fully removed) and one finger was burnt through the nail. She paid and left. I went back into the salon with her and was treated poorly, like I didn't know what I was talking about. They continued to talk to each other, perhaps saying that I was being unreasonable for asking for what I paid for - removal of the acrylics. As they started to correct their mistake, they continued to giggle and comment to each other while putting the acetone cotton balls on her nails. A man took her to grind off the nails and had to be told several times to not touch the burnt nail. We finally got all nails removed and left. We will never return and will not recommend the salon to anyone. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this place....I visited several years ago & the girl doing my pedicure cut my toe so bad it bled on & off for 2 hours. I vowed to never return. My daughter visited yesterday as we live close by & were pressed for time. She wanted her acrylic nails freshened up....they did not soak anything off but ripped them off her nails. Her fingers were bloodied. The "technician" tried to blame her & said she had "bad acrylic" & told her to just get her nails dipped. Mind you her fingers were covered in blood & she is trying to sell her more services! I tried to contact the owners but was told they were "not in". Thank god she had enough common sense to get up & RUN out! She returned home crying her eyes out screaming her nails were burning & throbbing. We had to put band aids on her fingers. I came to glamous nails offend, even before covid-19, and I always received wonderful customer service from them, but today May 30,2020 I called and made a appointment, they gave me one for 12:00 noon got there 5 minutes before signed the sheet that u now have to sign due the the pandemic. A man did my nails he half did them he didn't tell me to wash my hands I had to tell him. When he got done doing my nails he never put any lotion on them nor did he massage them like every other nail does. A family of 4 comes walking in he tells me I have to come back for my pedicure because they don't have time to do mines because they had to do the family of 4 I said excuse me I made a appointment, my appointment was for 12 and the family was for 1:30 I'm still here and the family of 4 is just about done! The moral of this story is I think I was discriminated against!! Everyone else in the nail shop got the royal treatment massage of the legs, hands etc but I didn't. I was told to go to the last chair at the end my color is black and we are not welcomed here we not treated the same as everybody else!! Last but no least my feet was getting done and one of the family wanted a lip wax so the lady who was doing me had to stop and do the wax she kept apologizing but it wasn't her fault it's the way they treated me like I was nobody. I went here on a Saturday and called ahead of time for a pedicure and polish change. When I arrived they were ready and I picked a color. While I felt the pedicure was ok I thought it was werid he cut the sides of my big toe. Why? Several times while having my pedicure his cell phone rang. When I say several it was about 15 times in a row. Back to back non stop. I finally told him after 10 times he should get the phone. I was starting to get annoyed and distracted from my relaxation time. (I don't get it very often) He never answered the phone and just ignored me. Finally on to a manicure. I had changed my mind from a polish change. After my manicure which didn't even include a hand massage he took my money and tip and didn't even say thank you. He proceeded to argue with another nail tech regarding her slip that she wrote up for nail services. Then he just disappeared. I'm assuming this person was one of the owners. He was #2 station. Jo jo #1 is fabulous. She has done my mani/pedi before and I had no problem. Her style and clothes and personality are a plus to this salon. I would go back for her but definitely not #2. Very poor customer service. I paid $41 total and my polish on my toes looks horrible, my cuticles aren't clipped and my polish is already chipping. After my manicure I had to ask him to cut my cuticles as there was dry skin just hanging there. I asked for cuticle oil and said bye to Jojo. She wished me a happy mother's day and that was a plus. I got home and looked at my feet and just shook my head. I tried to take a picture to post with this review but it doesn't even come close to what I'm looking at. I should have gone back. I work really hard for my money at my job and felt this was a wast of my time and money. I didn't get what I paid for. Everyone has an off day but customer service goes a long way. So yes I checked in a few times here. It's your average run of the mill nail salon on busy Schaumburg road. "PEEK YO CALAH HUNNY!" They do a nice job, and quickly but please nail salons everywhere---CLEAN THINGS UP! I understand that these places are exposed to chemicals, and acrylic dust in quantities that customers can never understand but it just gives a very negative feeling when the place isnt spic and span! Good location, good parking, good work but it needs a neatening up and cleaning. It is hard to relax in a place that isnt super clean. read more

I went to get a fill today at this place for a dip powder nails and I have never been to a more unwelcoming unprofessional and rude nail place ever in my life. The older gentleman who was doing my nails instead of taking out where the nail was lifting he used nail glue to glue them and then added dip powder on top and the he didn't use the drill to smooth out the nails instead he used a file and was very rough the entire time i had to keep saying ouch because it was literally hurting my fingers and I had to keep asking him to please fix the nails properly and stop using glue he proceeded to be more rude and told me to go back to whoever did my nails the first time then He charged me almost as much a brand new set costs and the owner she was there listening the entire time and didn't say one word nor did she apologize PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE These people are rude and unprofessional and don't know how to do nails properly also their pedicures for 35$ only include a scrub while most places do a scrub and lotion treatment they are over priced for very very poor service. read more

My nails were very long and stong. The lady who did my nails messed up the nail polish and had to redo my no chip and made my nails weak and had to spend and extra hour at the shop. She was very rude and kept rolling her eyes at me. I had to make a seperate trip to get them shortened and the lady insisted i messed them up. Never will i go again. Younger guy did my pedicure and manicure. I chose the deluxe sugar pedi with extended FOOT massage. Barely rubbed the bottom of my feet. All focus was up and down the front of the leg which started to feel raw from the roughness of the sugar. Wounded one toe and 2 fingers cutting the cuticles.
