Quiet little strip mall, nail salon that always provides me with great service and flexible appointments whenever I need a pedicure. Prices are average for the area, but they also have a stamp card for a discount after you complete. The stamp card. Entrance into the strip mall is a little tricky so check the map before you go so you're not late. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Wow! What a fantastic experience!!!!! I took my mom here for pedicures and a dip manicure. We both walked out with a smile because we had such a good time. The place was super clean and organized. They had a great variety of colors for all options including regular polish, dip, and no chip. Super relaxing experience. DEFINITELY will become regulars. The staff were the best part. I've been going to Barrington nails since I moved to the area over 3 years ago, and I won't go anywhere else. The staff is always so kind and never rude. I never feel rushed. My no chip lasts for well over 3 weeks. In a jam, I've tried other places such as Anthony Vince at the arboretum and was soooo disappointed after they made me bleed multiple times with painful pedicures and Manis. And then I come back to Barrington nails and I am reminded why I can't go anywhere else. I take my daughter as well, and they are so kind and patient with her. My wife is picky and she like this shop. She went all during Covid to be pedicures. Sometimes the plain,b sometimes the deluxe. The shop is clean, and they follow good sanitizing procedures, which is essential. The prices are decent and all of the techs have been competent. Good selection of polishes, both regular and gel. So I'm new to town and needed a mani and pedi badly. I picked this spot to give it a shot. The good stuff is the staff is all very friendly, it's clean, no wait and good prices. Do note they do not do acrylic nails. The bad stuff is my no chip mani and pedi was bumpy and some parts of my toe nails didn't even get paint. The pedicure was subpar the lady rushed thru the Deluxe package I paid for. I was very upset with my manicure. Simple white nails with a gold line was just not possible. It came out clumpy and thick. While they're open until 8 on weeknights - and it's REALLY tempting to go after work, don't. The polish jobs are always rushed and very very poorly done. Though if you go on a weekend or more than 3 hours before close, they do a decent job. There's one lady in particular who I think does a great job. I wish I knew her name, she sits at "station 4". She always rocks tons of bangle necklaces and edgier 80s clothes in a non-ironic way. She's sweet, does a good job, and always asks if I like the color. She takes her time and I leave happy. Unfortunately the other lady who has done them before ruins it for me. UPDATE: I haven't seen station 4 lady in a while - I wonder if she left? I had a new tech - Maya - who was AMAZING. I hope she sticks around for a while, I really really liked her. She did a good job and was the perfect amount of chatty. read more

My opinoin of this place is starting to dwindle... prolly the only thing that I REALLY like about this place is that my french gets airbrushed instead of hand-painted and that lasts longer.... but... One time I came to get my nails done and there was one woman getting a pedicure, two ladies getting their nails done, and one lady waiting and he greets me by saying "How can I help you?" "i just need to get my nails filled." "Oh, we too busy." "You are too busy?" "Yeah, we cannot do your nail." Ok, peace, so I went to Nail ETC and they fit me right in. I have seen places MUCH, MUCH busier than 4 people in a place and I was able to get my nails done. And I have gotten the same guy a couple times now and I have noticed that he never does the aryclic fill the same way. I have been getting them for more than a year now, I know how the process goes... so anyway, it is different each time. And they either look great for the full two weeks or they look great for the first two days and then my nails start to chip. I just don't get it. This place place was always good but with the new owners is even better. I got a classic pedicure, and I got a great service. Walk-ins are welcome. I like that they cover your feet with a hot towel before coloring your toenails closing your pores and relaxing your muscles. Later I had a no chip Gel polish manicure. It lasted almost three weeks!!! They use high end products. They carry two or three polish brands besides OPI. I used CND Shellac. Tran who is one of the co owners did a good job. It is hard to find good manicure places in the area. This is the best in this area between Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg. Highly recommended. read more

The people are great! The store could be cleaner. They need to update the colors of their polish. I wonder about them not having their cosmatology certificates posted..it is the law. Worst manicure I have ever had. EVER! I get my nails done a lot and I do like trying new places for nails. First when I asked for a French manicure they acted like they had no idea what I was saying. I was moved to three different chairs before I finally met the lady doing the manicure. She came out from the back while coughing/sneezing and not once did I see her wash her hands. I asked if she was sick (since I'm pregnant and a nurse and really can't get sick) and she said no. She was wiping her nose on her shirt every two seconds and coughing up a storm. Fortunately she rushed through the whole thing so in less than 15 minutes I had a horrible french manicure and was under the dryer. Had no cash for a tip (not at all deserved anyway but I always tip something) I was told I could write a check. Seriously? Here's a tip; wash your hands, wear a mask, or don't goto work. read more

Used to go there with a girl named Angie who was great. The store does not allow you to make appointments nor ask for specific nail technicians. Since Angie left, the store has been going downhill, the new nail techs don't care about the customers, just about getting things done quickly. The manager do not treat their staff well and has a standard of poor customer service by the management, especially the female manager/owner who likes to argue with customers. The nail tech themselves were always pleasant and nice to work with when I went there before. Time to spend my money elsewhere. read more

I needed to kill some time tonight in the Barrington/Hoffman Estates area so I looked on Yelp for a pedicure place that was close and found Barrington Nails. FYI- The directions are wrong on Yelp maps! I was disappointed in the massage chairs as they didn't recline and weren't super comfortable. However, it was one of the best /relaxing scrub pedicures I've had in a while and reasonably priced. If I'm in the area I would definitely go back. read more

Not recommended. In my quest to find the nail salon that deserves my repeat business I thought I'd give them a try. Nice try but not a winner. I was serviced right away by the male owner I assume, however I noticed a very little waiting area and in the corner was a kid on the floor playing games - the owners kid. Great place to put him - not! I also judge a place by how clean they are, while I noticed they all had disinfecting machines, their stations were nasty. He was quick to get it done and paid very little attention to detail. I had a gel fill and here I am day 2 and it's already separating by the cuticle which means I will have lifting by the day 5 and will need a refill much sooner than 2 weeks. read more

I have been to Barrington nail a handful of times. I have consistently had a good experience. The staff is friendly and the facility is pretty clean. The selection of colors is more limited than some other local salons, but they definitely have the basics covered. My only issue with the few times I've been here is that my nails seem to chip very quickly. I'm not sure if this is because of the way that they paint or just coincidence. The price is fair and as I mentioned, consistently good results. read more

I had a gel manicure done here last week and the lady did a really good job! It only took about 40 minutes and I'm very happy with the results. Everyone was very welcoming and I was asked several times if I was happy with the results. Ill be going back if I'm in that area again. read more

The nail tech was very nice, however my manicure and pedicure took almost two hours. I had to repeatedly ask her to paint all the way to the edge of my hand nails. I ended up with very inconsistent paint and even had a spot of paint missing on my big toe. I also expressed that I don't really like for them to dig/cut around my toenails as, personally, it hurts and she continued to do so. Again, very nice, but for the time it took the quality was definitely lacking. read more
