Rating a basic mani and pedi. It was great! The price point was also amazing. Linda was nice and very detail oriented, I will definitely be coming back. read more

OMG!! I am sooooo in love with my nails. The shop is cute and clean. It's under new ownership (last year or so), and I am SO GLAD I did not listen to the old reviews from years ago! Lyn did my nails, but I saw a set done by another nail technician, Linda, and her nails were beautiful as well. I will definitely be coming back!!! read more

VS Nails is under new management, folks! Thankful for Kathy and her team who made me feel brand new this weekend! I walked in around 4pm on a Friday. I asked if they took walk-ins, and I was promptly seated after finding a color. It was a solid pedicure that took about 30 minutes. I added three dollars for the extra scrub, and it was definitely worth it. The technician went to town on my callouses and my heels were super smooth by the end. One of the best pedicures I've had. I ended up getting my eyebrows waxed as well. It was $30 for the pedicure and $10 for the eyebrow wax. All in all, the visit took about an hour and a half with drying time! I got me a punchcard and will be making this salon a staple in my self-care routine. read more

Everyone was really friendly and I left feeling great! The service came with a back massage that eased a lot of tension in my back (more than most massages I have ever had). Thank you and I will definitely be back. read more

This shop is awesome. I had gone there b4 when the service was not so good, so I did not return. I was in a bind looking for someplace nearby. I read they were under new ownership. I got a mani-pedi. Lynn was my manicurist, she did not disappoint! She shaped my finger & toe nails just as I requested! My large toenail did not completely dry and is a bit smudged. Overall I am satisfied and will be returning as a repeat customer of Lynn's. I received so many compliments. Thanks read more

I called ahead of time to make an appt for pedi and dip. I asked the person on the phn if they could do dip without the UV light because some places are knowledgeable on how to do the dip with or without the UV light and she replied yes it will just take a little longer to dry. Against my hesitation to proceed because of her reply I needed my nails done for my birthday and Memorial holiday I just moved to Hanover Park and didn't have time to drive to my nail shop where I normally go in Villa Park. Needless to say she didn't know what she was doing basically she took my money knowing that she didn't know how to do Dip nails without the UV light. I told her my nails were not drying because she had me to put them under the fan as if I had gotten regular polish and my nail polish kept bubbling or wrinkling up she kept telling me they will dry and not to mention my nails were sloppy she didn't clean around them or try to make them look neat she told me I would need a manicure and I didn't ask for one this was my first and last time ever going there! So while paying I asked if she can clean my nails up for me I mean after spending 2 hours there I figured that's the least she could do. So when I asked her she gave me attitude as well as the manager when she told me to show her she flipped off a couple of areas that she noticed that could've been better and sent me on my way that was last Saturday and one nail is already off and my pedicure looks horrible the polish is dark as if their nail polish was old. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY NOR YOUR TIME THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS! OH AND THE GIRL WHO DID MU NAILS COME TO FIND OUT SHE LIVES IN KENTUCKY SOMEWHERE AND COMES IN EVERY 2 WEEKS TO HELP THE OWNER OUT ITS ONLY 2 PEOPLE THERE DOING NAILS WELL ONE AND A HALF . I GOT MY NAILS DONE ON 5/27 AND IT IS 6/4 SO JUST 8 DAYS OLD BUT THEY WERE LOOKING BAD AFTER DAY 2 DIDNT HAVE TIME TO GO BACK MY WEEKEND WAS FILLED AND THEN HAD TO GO BACK TO WORK AFTER THE HOLIDAY THIS PLACE IS THE WORSE! read more

Absolutely amazing service!!! I hadn't been to this salon prior to the new management taking over so I can't speak to past terrible reviews, but I can confidently say this was the best pedicure I've ever gotten in IL. I came in around 4pm on a Sunday, and Linda was gracious and professional. I was in and out with a fill, nail art, and a pedicure in a little over an hour and a half. The salon was clean, the staff was friendly, and I am so excited to come back!!! read more

Love this salon! Linda and her team are so great! Everyone is super friendly, and the salon is super clean. It's under new management now, so I wouldn't consider reading old reviews. The luxe pedicures are great, and I love getting my no chip here. Would 100% recommend to my family and friends! read more

I believe they're under new ownership. I usually get an acrylic set and pedicure. They always squeeze me in. I usually get a design and they're always spot on to what I expect. read more

this is the worst nail salon I've ever stepped foot in.. charged 45 for a shitty super rushed no chip full set. That came out hot garbage. (Nails chipping bad, nail shape&bed lumpy, etc) I call him to give him one more chance to fix it before deciding to dispute, tells me to come in. I get here he asks if I wanted to get another color so I say yes thinking it's complimentary due to his major f*ck up, only for him to try and slip in quickly that he charges 25 but for me he'll charge 15. I felt offended that he would even think I'm that stupid lol. Must be out of your mind. So after going back and forth with him about how I'm not about to pay him MORE for some already f*cked up nails I stick to my original color. This man literally buffed each nail twice, half assed shaped the nails, and didn't even buffer out the lumpiness of my nails. And the icing on the cake? He says "I'll paint one layer" and literally paints ONE layer on my nails that were ALREADY painted. At this point I'm just ready to get the hell out I was over the bargaining. Very unsanitary and owner is too damn pushy it's a turn off. Needless to say I will be taking up a dispute with my bank on this shitty set. Never again. read more

This is my second time coming here since the new management took place and both times were an amazing experience. They are super sweet and definitely know what they're doing. I am so happy it's super close to my home so I don't have to drive too long to get a good mani and pedi. read more

They are under new ownership. My nails were done very well (coffin, acrylic) and my pedi was very relaxing. The new owners are very sweet and professional. read more

Don't bother!!!! It's beyond bad. Where do I start. Came here on a Friday. Only one person- the owner is working- they had two people ahead of me. He says he's almost done. Lies! My feet were in water for over half hour. Then an argument ensued between the precious customer's husband and him. He claimed the shop did a bad job and he wasn't paying full price. He calls non emergency cops. Who bargained for them to get 10% off. They pay and they're on their way. Back to me- he says he's giving me a deal to get callouses off my feet and when I told him there was more, he said it's too much work as there was a lot to start with. Sir! That's your job to figure out!! Needless to say, I won't be back! read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS SALON. If I could give a lower rating than one star, I would give a NEGATIVE 10. This post is about a warning to future customers - V's Nails & Spa is unsanitary and poses a significant health risk. The owner RE-USES acetone, even when it contains blood from a previous customer. I went to the salon this past weekend (6/1-6/2) and was mortified. The owner insisted that he needed to remove my old acrylic nails instead of just doing a fill. Since I knew my nails had grown out longer than I normally go, I didn't argue to strongly. Big mistake. Instead of soaking and sanding, the owner used nail clippers to chip at the nail, then used a nail tip to forcibly remove each nail. There were a few nails that were particularly tough, and I asked him to just sand them down rather than continue to try to pull them off. He ignored me and ended up cutting my nail bed, CAUSING IT TO BLEED! At that point he decided to soak the tip in a small dish of acetone in order to soften it for sanding. Once done with soaking, HE POURED IT BACK IN TO THE BOTTLE OF ACETONE TO BE RE-USED!! He did NOT let me wash my hands first, so my blood was in the dish and then added to the acetone to be used with other customers, putting countless people at risk. This can't possibly be a one time thing, since I tried to stop him from doing so and he ignored me. I also saw a different employee start to soak off nails for a customer, who had just entered, in a glass bowl of "dirty" acetone - meaning it was cloudy and had a reddish color instead of clear, fresh, acetone. I will be calling my personal doctor to inquire about antibiotics-just in case I STRONGLY encourage anyone thinking of going to V's Nails & Spa to reconsider and go somewhere else. For what it's worth, I heard this morning that Kiki (the previous owner) is now at a salon next to Marianos on Gary Ave. read more

BEAWARE ' I am writing a review as I visited the nail salon today and sat with the owner or salon whom assisted with my services . When I walked on a Sunday evening I advised the owner I wanted a full set regular set , he then asked if I would like gel polish I advised me regular polish is preferred . He began filing nails and I then asked when I would be able to confirm the colors I prefer . He showed me a ring or colors and I choose the most best and also received a pedicure with the same color at the same time he was painting my nails . I did not advise him I was in a rush of time and wondered why service was being rushed , not to say my nails where out of shape and acrylic was on my cuticles . When I asked him to fix my nails , the tone of voice changed and he Start raising his tone of voice with me as I was smiling not becoming anxious . At the end of the services I was advised the owner painted my nails with no chip color . I was stunned as I requested regular polish : the store was slow today and I can't believe I was treated like trash wine the owner yelled at me told me I was a liar and I wanted the no chip polish as I believe it was an horrible up sell technique. I was treated with the most disrespect here , the energy at this shop is very scary ' I walked in happy and walked out crying ! read more

I stopped in because I was in the area never been here before after going into three other salons that where closing previously I had stop by this location because I saw that they where open and no customers so I thought ok no waiting because I was trying to get service for my upcoming birthday party and before picking my children up later I left very disappointed with my service I felt like after continually telling him that he was shaping my nails wrong and he kept promising it would get better because he wasn't done told him that I did not like them when he started to polish them u could see that the " non chip polish or something was off because it would not dry right it would wrinkle up I normally get the same exact service at my normal salon so I know the difference I was over charged I originally asked for a full acrylic set coffin long shape color and change and he continued to say no chip was better so I went with no chip and just a change polish on my toe I even stopped him before applying the clear coat on and told him to not apply because they where not correct and they where ugly to me and he grabbed my hand and said could he finish it would look pretty I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because I was trying to also get a service being a mommy of three not having alone time a lot but I was charged $50 after saying again I was not satisfied but I just wanted to leave at this point and go home. There is here number of fly's landing on me and very unsanitary also just not happy at all he told me to take his card and to come back and bring someone and I told him I didn't like my nails at all and would be back . read more

My cousins and I visited this Salon for 2 pedicures and a full set. We went when it was closing but they still agreed to take us. It was only 2 workers, a guy and a woman. The guys told my cousin and I to sit in the pedicure chairs and he started with her, he left me there while he did her pedicure. He was rushing and didn't even file our nails. The painting job was absolutely horrible. He didn't even paint the corners of our toes. It's the worse pedicure I've ever got. My cousin got a full set and 2 of her nails were crooked and she told him, and he told we like "oh it's your fingers that are crooked!" WTF!? He also insisted we give him a good review and stood there waiting for us to do it. So I told him I would do it when I got home. Then when it came time to pay he standing there telling me to tip 15$ dollars and to leave a good top. He was pushy and irritating. I will never be going back there, it was a terrible experience!! DON'T go there it's overpriced, service it terrible they're so pushy. read more
