The appointment took much longer than expected, there was confusion about the matte finish I requested, and I also noticed that the tools did not appear to be sanitized between clients. After paying and even leaving a tip, I was called back because I had accidentally been charged twice. While waiting for the duplicate charge to be refunded, I finally got a close look at my nails and realized how bad they were. The shape was uneven, polish was on my skin and cuticles, there were bumps throughout the finish, and the overall manicure looked rushed and unprofessional. The photo speaks for itself. When I pointed out the issues, I was repeatedly told they could file them or redo them. The problem was not the filing. The entire manicure was poorly done. I was already late returning from my lunch break and could not stay longer or come back another day. Since I would have to pay another salon to fix the work, I requested a refund. The refund was refused. I even offered to accept a partial refund because I understood time had been spent on the service, but that was refused as well. During the discussion, the manager/owner put her hand on my arm while trying to get me to sit back down. I don't know what her intentions were, but I was uncomfortable being touched after I had already said I needed to leave. What upset me most was being told that $35 was "not a big deal." Whether $35 is a lot or a little is not for someone else to decide. It is money I worked for, and I paid expecting professional results. I understand that mistakes happen. What disappointed me was the poor quality of the work, the refusal to provide even a partial refund, and the dismissive way my concerns were handled. I left with nails I disliked, no refund, and the added expense of paying someone else to fix them. I will not be returning.

Checked on Yelp for a nearby salon and found Tips2Toes Nail Salon. Aby was recommended by one of my girlfriends and I was able to book an appt on their website last night. Easy and seamless process. Aby is Quick, but very detail oriented and does such a great job listening to what I needed. I highly recommend coming here. It's very nice and clean and the service is fantastic! (Context: I dyed my hair green the night before) I came in…read moreas a walk-in around 5pm, it was pretty quiet room with Fox News playing on the tv, and a woman getting a pedicure. One of the employees greeted me and asked what I needed/wanted to get done. I showed him my nails, with a faint green tint, and said I needed to have this fixed as much as they could. I'm not allowed to wear nail polish at work, so I just requested a clear polish that I could easily take off. We didn't say much, but he shaped up my nails nicely, and someone else took over when she was done with her previous customer. They both cleaned my nails gently and they look great. I've had many experiences at other establishments where they are rough with my cuticles, got acetone in my splits by my fingers (which burns really bad), and a very rushed services which make me really anxious. I was very grateful they were gentle with the service. I was really looking for a basic cleanup with some acetone, but they did a really nice manicure with a soft hand massage as well. This was about 25 minutes and was a nice little break in my day. $15 dollars with a $5 tip for people who were easily able to clean my nails and not judge was a nice experience. One thing I will note is that before I had my nails painted, they asked if I wanted to pay. I said yes since it's just a clear coat and I had no designs or anything, but I'm sure they would let you pay after if you said no. Not sure, but something to consider. Pros: Quick service, lots of color options from what I looked at, fair price for what I received, gentle work. Cons: Very quiet atmosphere and little talking (which I enjoy but I can understand why someone would be unnerved).

I wanted a cut & color, but when trying to book, instead of being able to reserve an appointment based on the services you want (like most salons nowadays -- hello, it's 2025) or even having a main salon number to call -- you get sent to a page with each stylist's individual numbers. I contacted 4 people, and reached a voicemail each time. I recently moved into town, and was looking forward to being a few blocks away from this salon so I could make it my "regular" spot, but looks like that won't be the case. This should be an easy fix that I'm sure would get you more customers -- do better.
