Ben is great and the girl that did my toes was great. The work was pretty. But the lady that did my daughters nails was rude about the price and dishonest. My daughter got acrylic nails with powder. Which is $40. Plus 2 designs which cost her a extra $10. So $50 should have been the total for her nails. Which honestly to draw four lines on two of her nails to look like a candy cane is ridiculous to charge $10! Either way she charged my daughter $60 for her nails. When I mentioned this at check out she was very rude and argued with me about it. Then she only took off $2 which still was wrong! So she still overcharged me. Then she began to speak in her language talking crap about me questing the price! Her tone was so rude. You know when someone is complaining about you. So unprofessional. My daughters nails should have been $50 plus her toes $8 since she's 12 , plus mine $48 which was $8 more since I had to get my old ones taken off , plus my pedicure $22 plus my younger daughter $5 for finger nails painted with no designs. That's a total of $133. She was trying to charge me $141! When I mentioned the prices on the catalog and the work we asked for she disagreed and told me my daughters nails was $60! How is it still $60 when we downgraded the nails to colored powder to get the $40 price??? She then took $2 off and charged me $139. Instead of arguing with her I paid the $139 and tipped. Either way how she handled it was unprofessional. We specifically asked for the colored powder so my daughters nails would be cheaper and she still charged her a higher rate! I expect a manager to call and refund me the $6. Its not about the money, it's the principle of being lied to and over charging. That money could have gone to a bigger tip. I also see they don't even respond to their bad reviews! Wow what great Customer service read more

I have been going to V Star nails for months now. Every time I go, the staff is always super friendly and accommodating. BUT... Today was a different story. I went in around 4:30 and as I was trying to pick out my colors, one of the ladies came over and basically picked my colors for me (I didn't ask for help). They seated me and both of the men that work in the salon worked on my shellac manicure and regular pedicure. My manicure was finished and I looked down to find polish all over my nails and skin. I had to peel my skin away from the nail which peeled the polish away. There were also huge parts of my nails missing color. The manager came over and I showed her my nails. She grabbed her stuff and redid my nails but kept getting interrupted with people paying. (I think she is the only one who deals with the money) The guy working on my feet went to town when scrubbing all the dead skin off my feet. He scraped them too much and made my heel bleed. It is now painful to walk. They were only willing to comp my eyebrow wax which is the only decent service I would have been willing to pay for. I was at the salon for 3 hours. Unfortunately, I won't be recommending V Star nails to anyone and will be sure to let others know of my experience tonight. It is truly a shame because it is so convenient but I will never go back. read more

V-Star Nails - DO NOT GO TO V STAR NAILS IN ROSENBERG, TX!! 4 days later, still in pain. - Nail Salons Near Me - Rosenberg, Texas

I have never had a bad experience here. Yes, it's more expensive than my usual place in Sugarland, but because it's close to home, I'm willing to pay the extra. I always get the paradise pedicure which is $43, but if you pay cash you get 5% off, which isn't much, but it's something. The paradise pedicure comes with your choice of scent scrub (I always get orange), paraffin wax, mud mask, hot stone massage, longer massage time and also a 10 minute shoulder and arm massage! I've been here many times, but my visit on my birthday was pretty exceptional. Not only did I get an extra 15% off with proof of ID, but I had Steven, who is by far, the most thorough technician I've ever had. Period. I broke my pinky toe nail a couple weeks ago, and I let him know just to be careful with it. He was amazing! He got all the hard, dead skin off as well as cut the cuticles in the most gentle manner possible. I was so impressed! I know it's hit or miss with nail technicians, but if you're ever in the area from Thursday thru Sunday, ask for Steven! He is amazing and will not disappoint! read more

It was my first time going to this nail salon and let me just say this, it's worth the prices. My experience was great, def my new nail spot

Don't waste your time. Not trained professionals. While the staff was friendly they clearly have not been trained. I did not see a license for anyone posted anywhere. read more

This was my first time going here. Had a spa day. I got the paradise Mani and pedi. I chose the tropical scent. The scent wasn't to overpowering it smelled very good. As far as the service, I got Sam and Loan, both were very nice great service and professional. Very thorough with their process. Definitely coming back again. read more

yesterday I went to get a pedicure and my nails, I asked for a design, she told me it was $65 per design and I said no, it would be better just some stamps or stickers, she told me it would be $45 I told her that's fine, I paid with a $100 dollar bill, they charged me $90 dollars and today they called me on my cell phone to tell me that I owe $30 dollars for some nails they didn't do a good job, and they hurt my nail by making me bleed from my finger, I told her that It hurt and the lady ignored me. The service was also on my natural nails. I would never come back here because they used the same utensils on all the customers. Yesterday I didn't complain or mention that the price was not right, but since they called me today and asked me for more money I decided to write this complaint. read more

Once I get back in town, I will go back so that I can recieve me credit. Hopefully by then, my nails will be long enough to look decent. I am appreciating their continued effort to correct the problem. Sadly I'm not back in town until late Sunday. read more

I've always gone to Bella Spatique by HEB but since this is closer to home I thought I'd give it a shot. The place is new, nice and clean... Don't be fooled by the 20% off promo discount, it's not worth it. I got a shellac mani and a pedi and both work was pretty bad! The manager was a nice guy but not good enough for me to return for a poor job! read more

My girls and I have visited many nail salons in our area Image nails, Bella Nails, Chic Nails, Bonnie nails and probably a few more. As a mother of 3 girls 10, 17, 20 we have a hard time agreeing on one location and who does a better job. We have been very loyal the past year to Bonnie Nails but decided to try out this new place only because it's closer to home, we were not disappointed. This is probably the first place all three of my girls absolutely loved, and I Ioved myself. We were very happy with the atmosphere, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. We arrived pretty close to closing time but were still greeted with friendly smiles from the attentive staff. While we were there, an unhappy customer complained at check out about her nails not being done correctly (not sure why she didn't complain after nail one or two) and went on and on. I was able to observe first hand how the manager handled an unhappy customer, by offering to redo the whole set, when she didn't want to sit back down he offered to do it another day at her convenience she didn't seem to like that either. Think she was looking for a free ride. My point... you can't please everyone! But as for me and my girls we were very happy and I hope they continue to provide the excellent service we received last night. They also offer punch cards for every 35.00 you spend. Which is something I always look for. Plus 20% off right now!! We will definitely be back. read more

Great service! They don't lie to you on wait times, you may have to wait 10-15 minutes if they're super busy. They are offering 20% off right now because of their grand opening. It does not smell of chemicals, super clean atmosphere! I was offered beverages throughout my service. I hope they keep up with the great service, I'll be checking them out on a regular since it's so close to home! Large selection of color even on shellac. read more

This salon did an absolutely fabulous job on my dip nails and pedi!! Steven gives the best pedicure. I don't know who did my nails but they came out looking really good. The place was very busy when I came in but I was still seen pretty quickly. The service was fast but the quality was not compromised. I would recommend this place to a friend. I'm glad I checked this place out despite the reviews. read more

I am giving them 5 starts because April and Diana did amazing! I have always had ingrown toe nails and every other salon never gets them completely out, still causing me pain. April spent at least 30 minutes on just my big toes getting the ingrown nails fully out. I have instant relief! I can't thank her enough! I am loving my nails and toes! Thank you so much April and Diana! read more

Always satisfied with the service of my technician, Annie. Great service every time.

Walked in around 11am on a Tuesday for a powder refill on my nails and an express pedicure. I was promptly greeted and after picking out my color, I was seated. They have a large variety of colors to choose from as well as shellac and powder colors. This is my second time visiting, what I like most about them is that I'm usually on a time crunch. While you're getting your pedicure there is someone doing your nails at the same time. I'm 2/2 on my experiences here at V Star as far as time spent and quality. I walked out 45 minutes later! I've given them 4 stars simply because they are a little on the pricey side for what I'm used to. read more

V-Star Nails - Powder refill, color 149 - Nail Salons Near Me - Rosenberg, Texas

I only went here because it was right by my house. The lady in the front that seems to be the manager, she always has a bad attitude. Avoid this place on the weekends because it is packed. I always saw people getting drinks offered but they never offered me anything. Also, they'll only stamp the card if it's more than $35 before tax. The place is somewhat inconsistent in my opinion. I only came here because it was close to home but it is very popular, in my opinion I've had better shellac / pedicures. SO with that being said, I am currently looking for other places close to home. read more

This was my first time here, and I was pleased. I got the express pedicure, 20 minutes, $22. My tech was male, which was a first. He did a nice job. I forgot my Opi color, but they had a fairly large selection of Opi, so I found one very similar. I'll be going back. read more

This was my first time visiting V-Star Nails. With all of the reviews, I was skeptical to try, but was VERY pleased. I went on a Saturday, which is a very busy time and they saw me right away. The environment was very clean and had nice decor. My nail tech ( I didn't catch her name, wish I did) was so good! She did my nails exactly how I like them. I will definitely be back! It doesn't hurt that it is just outside my neighborhood. read more

Went today & the atmosphere is so relaxing. Great customer service. Had a mani pedi done. Annie did my pedi and Ben did my mani. Go see them. You will love it. read more

This salon was my favorite for years. Don't know what happened during Covid, but management SUCKS. Couldn't get an appointment during Covid. Had an expired gift certificate I tried to use yesterday. They refused to honor (even partial value). Their technician lost out on a good tip and I will not step foot in that salon again. read more

Very poor customer service. If it's not the man up front the lady is very rude. I went back a day later after my gel polish was transparent in the sunlight as well as chipping. She claimed it was the color I picked, although I showed her the holes in the paint. My concern were dismissed because she had customers waiting behind me. She quoted me 35 minutes and I told her that was ridiculous, because I was coming back for a fixed. They could only put another coat on it....on gel polish. How unprofessional. read more

Very unprofessional. They also over charge. They quoted me one price; however, when I went to pay, they added $20. The nail service and pedicures are poorly done. The polish on my nails started chipping the next day. My feet were ashy and the polish started chipping the next day. Most of the ladies in there are inexperienced and some have very bad attitudes. Stay away. read more

The first time I came here I was impressed. Which is the only reason I came back the second time. This time completely different. I should've read the Yelp reviews then I would've known better. I spent $84 on basic pedicures, basic manicures, and eyebrow waxes for myself and my daughter. Biggest waste of $84 ever. my "manicure" looks like I had an elementary kid do it. My nails are rough and not filed well and the polish looks lumpy and not smooth. It also is in places it shouldn't be. the pedicures should've been charged as polish changes. The water was ice cold, they didn't get all of the dead skin off our feet and our toenails weren't filed well. my eyebrow wax looks awful. It's uneven. She also had the wax way too hot and tweezed way too hard. An eyebrow wax has never hurt me, until today (it still stings 20 minutes later). Then when I told her it was uneven she blamed me because my "skin is too oily for a wax." Nevermind I just washed my face and I get my eyebrows waxed every 2 weeks (at other places) without any incident. When I checked out I expressed my concerns and nothing was offered to make it right. I paid because it's the right thing to do but honestly, we should've paid for nothing more than polish changes on our fingers and toes because that's basically what they did. I was offered a rewards card which I didn't accept because as I told the lady when I checked out I won't be back. Image nails does a better job on my eyebrows (without burning me or tweezing too hard) and I just know I'm going to have to make the drive to Sugarland for a decent mani/pedi. Save your money and don't go here or just get a polish change and call it a day. read more

I showed up at almost 6pm. When I arrived I was not greeted and when someone (finally) approached me and asked me what I wanted done, I let her know I wanted a mani/pedi & wax. The lady just started mumbling under her breath as if she was irritated and walked away. So after a few minutes, I was told I had to come back tomorrow !! In my opinion, if your place of business is open,no customer should be turned away especially if I arrived long before closing time. Needless to say I won't be returning. I've been to this location several times and never had an issue until now. read more

The technicians that work here are great! I always go for the Classic mani/pedi and my nails have come out looking fantastic! I only give 4/5 because my friend that came with me before wasn't over the moon with her set that she got put on (artificial set). However, if you need a basic mani/pedi, this place isn't bad at all. read more

Nice place but VERY RUDE old woman, she didn't want to change my nail color all becuz I didn't like it and rushed the process which left me with bad nails. I have been a regular customer at Image Nails for years, that is until V-Star Nails. They do a great job on shellac and really take their time. I never write reviews, but after reading some of the ones on here I felt obliged to write based on my visits here. This is my go to place!! I've never had an issue with waiting, cut up cuticles, and anytime I've been unhappy they've always redone them. My question to the people who are unhappy, why would you leave without being happy with what you're paying for?? I can take a picture in from Pinterest, literally anything and they'll do an excellent job. This is my go-to place in the area. It's clean and they're incredibly friendly! read more

I visited V Star Nails as a last option....everywhere else was busier than this place for Easter. These people did not acknowledge customers as they walked in. I think they were hoping that we'd leave. When I was finally acknowledged, they told me to "go pick color". Nonetheless, I will not be returning. read more

Yesterday was my 3rd visit to the nail shop. My first visit was when they 1st opened and it was okay on the pricey side but no issues. My 2nd visit I was rushed to pick a color and once I did I was asked to sit for a pedicure. I listened to 5songs and still no one came to start on my pedicure. So I put my shoes back on and walked out the door. A staff ran outside and grabbed my door and said she was ready and to come back in. I told her no thanks and left. Yesterday 59 traffic was beyond crazy and I couldn't make it to my regular spot. I had just taken off my gel polish so I needed to get them done before one broke. I asked for a marble design to be done in my ring finger. The staff look confused and I told her that's okay I'll go somewhere else. She asked for a picture and I showed her. She still didn't seem confident but quickly ushered me to a seat to start. She tried and my nail looked nothing like marble. Other staff came over to try and figure it out and I was told that I needed to change the color but she didn't know the technique it had nothing to do with the color. Upset because I felt tricked into staying for a service she couldn't do but wanted my money and disappointed because she knew from the beginning that she didn't know how to do the design. I won't be back. I was only charged 29 dollars but my normal place is 30 so I didn't feel compensated. read more
