Nice little wine bar situated right on the water's edge in Fell's Point. Has a fair (far from extensive) selection of wine. The interior ambiance is more like a bright wine shop with a few random tables rather than a cozy wine bar and the high ceilings cause a lot of acoustical issues once more than a few people are talking. Also, their seating was rather uncomfortable - needs padding. Unfortunately, there is really no food service here. They only have a small selection of cheese and bread and a nearly nonexistent dessert menu. Maybe this is fine for others, but I like the option of having something more hearty if I am going to sit there for a few hours. Overall, not a bad place to go to enjoy a few glasses of wine and enjoy a view of the water, but not good for an extended visit - especially on a busy crowded night. read more

V-NO was a nice surprise! V-NO is basically a wine bar with a huge variety of wine and a small selection of food to go with it. Prices are pretty good for the area, though I know some dislike the $7 corkage fee. Service is quick and responsive, which is not surprising given the relatively small size of the place. The wine here, which we picked with assistance from our waiter, was excellent. Of course, you could go well or poorly here - it all depends on the wine. The food itself was good - we got a charcuterie plate and a panini - though I'll confess that I was a bit turned off by the bag of chips. I'm definitely a fan, and will be returning. read more

Made a stop here while bouncing around other places in the area. Located right along the water, next to where people can board a pirate ship, the outdoor seating area was the perfect place to people watch. There were also tables inside, but definitely more tables outside. The workers were friendly and accommodating when we asked about outdoor seating. The only table available at the time was one in the sun with no shade. Given that the sun was particularly brutal that day, one of the workers helped us stalk out a table that was getting up shortly and helped us transfer our things once it freed up. the wine labels are incorrect, the store employees do not assist costumers with wine purchasing. inconsiderate and unpardonable. if you think you're buying a $14 bottle of wine, beware, it might actually cost you $98. I'm in the service industry and the costumer is always right. This business should check with costumers beforehand if the bottle of wine they wanted was what they thought they were purchasing. Especially since we were told "costumers switch the price markers a lot". Which as I was politely reminded by was not their problem and we still had to pay the price for a $98 bill when we assumed it was $14. read more

Wine was good, and service was okay up until the end. We came as a group of 10 and chose one of the bottles of wine (we ordered four in total) based on how inexpensive it was, as it was labeled as $14. However when we received the bill, it was on there for $98. We tried to explain that the bottle was incorrectly labeled, but the staff let us know that after speaking with the owner, the best they could do was bring the price down to $65. We spoke with Mark (the owner) directly, and he said that "anyone could move the labels around" so we were liable for paying the $98 even though we would have never chosen a bottle for that price. The way that Mark and his staff were so quick to dismiss our issue makes me wonder how often this happens.. buyer beware: apparently just anyone can switch the labels around so make sure you know how much you're paying before they uncork your bottle. read more

Beware of Urban Pirates next door! V-NO is not the kind of wine bar that I'm used to. This isn't one of those ritzy places with plush chairs, mood lighting that's only a notch higher than total darkness, and women in various shades of red lipstick. This is a cozy little place where you can sit outside right by the water and take in the night air. The selection of wines you can order by the glass fits on a single page, though it covers the spectrum of wines pretty well. You can also get any of the bottles available inside for a corkage fee. The service was okay. They could tell that it was our first time there, but they didn't offer a lot of help, and once we were outside, it was hard to get anyone's attention for anything. Though I prefer the ambiance of other wine bars, sitting outside and enjoying the wine, the weather, and the company was really nice. However, one thing really dampened the mood during our visit: Urban Pirates. Urban Pirates is a boat cruise company located right next door to V-NO and their port is right across the street. When the boat is docked, it takes up the majority of your view of the water. It's great to be next to the water, but when there's a pirate ship in the way, it's hard to appreciate any sort of view. The boat is also really, really, really close to V-NO. So close that when they began their onboarding spiel and activities, we heard everything loud and clear. It was extremely loud and distracting, and I couldn't hear my friend over the noise. We had to stop our conversation and wait for the boat to leave. I think we sat there, unable to do much more than watching the boat, for 15 minutes. Considering the small selection, the okay service, and the price of being located next to Urban Pirates, there are far better places you can go for a glass of wine. read more

V-No is a cute little wine bar by the water in Fells. I really enjoyed the atmosphere from outside to inside. Their wine menu by the glass is not very extensive but it is diverse enough to satisfy every palette. You can try any bottle available for sale in the store for a $7 fee, not too bad. Good place to pick something up for a party if you're nearby. That said, some of the bottles are pretty overpriced, especially with Canton Crossing down the street. The interior could use a major upgrade to make it more pleasant to stick around -- it has a couple of old-ish generic high-top tables. Adding some good lighting and better furniture would make a big difference. Wouldn't really recommend the food options unless you're dying for a snack... in which case, just get sushi next door. They serve things like stale crackers and oily mozzarella balls from a tub - not something you'd want from a cafe. The service is hit or miss. In general, it's extremely "casual". The weather has broken in beautiful Charm City and please please enjoy some time outside. I must make a case for V-NO as a great outdoor spot. They are simple, casual and low key, but with a great deal of fantastic wine choices. Please go inside to ask for a table, there are a ton of them and they turn over quickly, so practice your patience. As per usual, we started with sparkles. These aren't your ordinary sparkles - these are our new favorite Argyle sparkles from the Willamette Valley. I probably like them because its about 60% Pinot Noir grapes giving it some interesting minerality notes. And check out their cheese plate - lots of toasted bread, three large chunks of fine cheeses and some olives - and for only a little over $12. A huge chunk of sharp cheddar, a soft creamy cheese and a peppery spicy one. We continued our evening with a few bottles of white - one we have been currently drinking over at Birroteca and one from a vineyard i really wanted to visit when I was in Oregon. I have a new found love for this place. The have a ton of bottles chilled for immediate enjoyment and then even more bottles to choose from if you want to take a bottle to go. The prices are quite reasonable with a $7 corkage fee. I am getting a little over these corkage fees especially when so many of bottles are twist offs these days. Nevertheless, a similar bottle is over $50 at some of the other nearby restaurants. read more

Great selection of wines! Went here on a Friday night around 8pm and there was one other set of people there. (so very quite) They had nice music playing and the staff was absolutely incredible. They let us try several wines and they weren't shy on the amounts they poured into your glass. They were extrememly knowledgeable about the wine as well. The main guy came over and talked to us for awhile...great conversation. We ended up getting a great Malbec and a cheese/meat tray. Next time, I will get simply a chesse tray. The meat...well it wasn't all that great. The prices of the wine are definitely reasonable. I had an amazing time at V-No and am so happy for the wonderful addition to Baltimore. The wine menu is fantastic, varied in terms of tastes and price point. The service is outstanding, knowledgeable and friendly. The location is one of the best in the city in my opinion. And to top it all off, you can order sushi from the restaurant next door and have it delivered to your table - both establishments are both totally cool with you supporting them simultaneously. We love visiting Fells Point, but when we want to get away from the multitude of pubs with live music and crowds, V-NO is the spot. It's a charming little wine bar right on the harbor with outdoor seating. There is seating indoors as well as a selection of games to play if you are so inclined, but I prefer the outdoors. This is the perfect little spot to unwind and share a small plate and some wine. With the cobblestone streets and historic feel, it reminds me of enjoying a drink in a small European café. The wines are categorized to make selection simple - juicy, lush, rich, bubbly, etc. The selection is not huge, but varied enough to find something new to enjoy. The staff is always helpful and friendly. There is a room to the right of the entrance where the more exclusive wines are on display. I thought there were some interesting selections, but since we were planning on walking around Fells Point before heading back to the hotel in Inner Harbor, we didn't purchase any bottles to take home this last time. Very relaxing when the evening is cool. - Helpful staff will guide you to the proper selection if you aren't a wine connoisseur. - A small menu of cheese and Mediterranean options compliment their wines very well. Indulge! - Great value! Options cover the spectrum of pricing well, so this is an affordable date. What I Don't Like: - Limited outdoor seating. If you visit on a busy Friday of Saturday, you may have to settle for sitting inside. - Outdoor seating is near that crazy pirate ship themed business, and when they return from their voyage it's a gang of drunken Vikings disrupting an otherwise peaceful drink. - Some of the wines are too cheap. A true connoisseur would scoff at twist top wine bottles. These exist here. - Employees look like guests. If you roll up on the scene on a busy night, it's tough to determine who handles seating and ordering. Suggestion: splurge on some polos with embroidered logos. V-NO benefits most from its fantastic location along the waterfront in Fells, but still has a decent selection of red and white wines that would probably suit the palate of most drinkers. The vinho verde is an especially good choice, particularly with summer just around the corner. Moreover, the prices are very reasonable for the area and friendly staff is generous with their pours. Sitting outside also provides front row seating to enjoy the departures and arrivals of the Urban Pirates, the theatrics of which are infinitely more entertaining when you're riding a good wine buzz. I came here recently with a friend to see what the buzz was. The V-No Wine Bar is in the right, quaint spot. Right off of the water in historic Fells Point in Baltimore, we were lucky that there was plenty of seating (although they had a great crowd) and the waitstaff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although, we were looking for a place that served dinner (we were starving) once we got into the building, we were sucked in by V-No's charm and decided to stay. We were not disappointed. Although the night was chilly, the outdoor area with its bistro tables and chairs came with complementary red snugly blanket wraps to keep you warm from the cool breeze coming off of the water. We asked for a recommendation of a red wine and were pleasantly thrilled with an honest suggestion that we both loved. They were not stingy on the serving ounces of wine either! We also ordered the Cheese (remember, we were starving) and it was a great tidbit of cheese, bread, and olives artfully presented on a plate. Next time, we want to try the French Truffles. I am looking forward to my next visit, but just a reminder to myself to come after eating dinner. The only downside to the location is that it is in front of a touristy pirate boat ship that launches from the same pier V-No is located. When the boat docked, a loud megaboom voice from the ship riled up the crowd into yelling, and then drunk people stumbled off of the boat. Not cute. Pros: If you love wine, this is it! Out of the way, great water front location. Good wine selections and the Cheese Sampler was fresh and good. Very intellectual and classy considering some of the other bars in Fells Point. .We made a reservation for 6pm on a Friday evening knowing with COVID, places almost have to require them now - but we got there and were seated outside in 32 degree weather with no heaters because inside was already full. With COVID, I know places are at limited capacity but we should have had a table reserved under our reservation instead of them accepting walk-ins or more reservations than they could seat inside. We did our due diligence of reserving so was definitely frustrated we ubered there and had to find somewhere else to go to avoid sitting outside in the freezing cold in metal chairs and then when we said we were leaving, there was no apology for inconvenience or anything. Went here this weekend with my family and had a great experience! We had been walking all day along the water with my dog and wanted a place to grab a bite and something to drink. We asked if we could sit outside with my dog and they said absolutely. The waitress (I wish I had asked her name because she was fantastic) came out shortly and brought us our waters and asked if I wanted some ice to put in my dogs water bowl (we had already put water in there but she figured it was probably warm). Very thoughtful! My family had a glass of beer and wine, which they said was very good. We ordered the Mediterranean Plate, Rustic Plate and Toasted Nuts, all of which I'd highly recommend. The grape leaves were fantastic and the nuts had a very nice seasoning on them. My favorite item was the peppers which had cheese and prosciutto on top and were altogether perfect. Everything tasted great and it was a perfect pick me up after a long day of walking. I saw that they serve home made paninis, would love to try them in the future. The only thing I didn't like were the pirate boat tours which leave from the dock in front of the restaurant. The horn was SUPER loud and scared the crap out of my dog (not literally, thankfully). V-No is located at the end of an Inner Harbor pier in Fells Point. There is plenty of outdoor seating and, for those colder days, the interior has charming seating. The owners/staff are very friendly, personable, and helpful. The wine selection is plentiful and separated into cute-sy titled categories. While the food selection is limited to small plates, over the past few months, this newcomer to the neighborhood has added a couple of extra items and desserts to the menu. Further, in my observation, they allow food from the neighboring sushi bar and French pastry place but this place is best suited for grabbing a few drinks. My boyfriend and I were definitely the youngest ones there. But the cashier was friendly and let us take our time in ordering a glass.
