I met up with a friend here a few months ago during a weekday lunch and the place was jam packed. Luckily he arrived before me and had snagged a table right by the door. Inside you will find modern touches to the decor and reasonable prices. The food is passable, although nowhere near chinatown. The first visit, I ordered the noodle soup combo with spring roll and a tea. My buddy tried the shrimp quiches and several spring rolls. We found the quiches similar to banh xeo, and were okay tasting, but not worth the price. The 2nd visit I ordered a rice plate combo and chose the egg rolls. One interesting note is they gave me a bowl of chicken broth with the combo on my 2nd visit. Overall, I'd give them 3.5 stars, but gave them the benefit of the doubt since the service is great and food came out very fast ......I was impressed. I have been here enough times that most of the wait staff know I always order the pho and a strawberry smoothie with tapioca. The pho is OK for the area but the size of the bowl is a little smaller than what you may be used to if you eat in Bellaire. I didn't notice the maximum seating capacity, but the restaurant is a little on the smaller side. Lunch time can be pretty crowded. I usually go after the lunch crowd or before the dinner crowd and get a table right away. Overall, I'd say V Bistro stays in the weekly food rotation due to the responsive staff, quickly served and decent food, and being the only place in Humble that I can find a strawberry smoothie with tapioca. read more

Stopped by here bc it was really cold and felt like having a soup. First off, I noticed poor customer service when the women ahead of me complained standing there for 15 minutes to get a seat. An old guy finally came and looked at me and pointed his mouth and murmured something. Finally got to my seat and ordered a very simple order. Waited at least 25 minutes to get it, which I thought was pretty long of a wait. I had ordered a side of chicken broth and I had to asked them 4 times for it bc they keep forgetting it. And guess what's on time to arrive? The check. Okay the food was just okay. I think people come bc it's the only Vietnamese place in area. Employees are rude and I feel that the owner needs to enroll his/her employees to a customer service class if he wants his business to thrive. It's just a matter of time when another competition will take over their business. Will never come back here again and won't recommend to anyone unless you're really dying for pho. read more

This spot is super close to my house so I often go there for chicken pho (dietary restrictions, no one judge me). It's super flavorful and the broth is top notch. The other items in the menu however are so-so. I highly recommend against eating in the restaurant, there were absolutely ZERO social distancing protocols put in place. The restaurant is pretty small so I understand it's difficult to socially distance while trying to keep the business open, but the tables were literally 5 inches away from each other. I was uncomfortable for all of the 2 minutes I was in the restaurant and immediately saw-daddled. I do want to support small businesses so I usually get take out/pick up orders from here. Just disappointed in how the restaurant is handling capacity tho. read more

It was rated #2 for the area so we tried it. We both ordered the extra spicy combo beef Pho that is listed for a $1 more on the menu. Well it wasn't spicy, so we asked for for heat, they brought us a little bowl siracha and hoisin sauce out, and charged us another $1. Also, I've never ordered the beef combo with so little beef in it, and we've been to a lot of places. I understand the inflation issue, I would rather be charged more. DAMNNNNNN!!! That's it!!! This restaurant is amazing!! The spicy beef pho had the best flavor. It was spicy but not the bad spicy where it has no flavor. It had a deep rich flavor with the perfect amount of spice. Milk Thai chi was perfect. Super cold and the flavor was once again rich and deep. The fried spring rolls, fried wonton and fresh shrimp spring rolls with the peanut dipping sauce was also amazing. It was quick. Hot. Fresh. Delicious. Little place but great food. CHECK YOUR FOOD Its crazy that this is not the first time that we have gotten bugs in our food. The first time it happened there was 2 dead bugs in the lettuce that was served with the fried egg rolls. The explanation we got from the "manager" was "when the back door opens the bugs come in, can I get you something else?" Of course we did not place an additional order, we paid for what we got and left. We just went back on September 21,2020 and received the chicken broth that comes with the grilled chicken and rice plate and sure thing there was a bug. The same lady (manager) came to us and asked was there a problem with our food, we said yes there was a bug in the chicken broth, she then said "oh okay, can I bring you something else?" Once again we did not order anything else, stoped eating, paid and left. The first time this happened we took it as okay, well we have been coming here for months and this has never happened, thats fine, things happen. Now this is the second time its happened and its only been 3 weeks apart from the last incident and the reaction we got from the "manager" was as if this was just something normal, no explanation whats so ever just a "oh okay" Definitely not coming back, and PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD especially all your lettuce that comes with your food. read more

This place is pretty great. The Crab Rangoons are spot on, but I don't think the dipping sauce that it comes with pairs well with them. The egg rolls are pretty great, too, with the sauce it came with, which was like a beef broth. Then I had ordered the Meat Lover's Noodle Soup which was amazing! Bean sprouts and cilantro really top it off with a little bit of lime juice! In a way, it's like a Vietnamese version of Menudo. Overall, this place is really good! read more

I've come here a handful of times and it's only because my usual pho place closes early. The spring rolls consist of 90% bean sprouts, pho is bland, vermicelli bowl is also made up of purely bean sprouts. The service is mediocre and slow. This business closes their doors about an hour and a half earlier than the hours posted online. Do yourself a favor and go to PHO DIEN just a few lights down and you will understand why V Bistro is a huge disappointment every time. read more

I love their food! They offer a very good lunch special that gives you a lot of food for a cheap price. The drinks are a little pricey however, so I would recommend upgrading to a smoothie for a $1 more. My favorite smoothie from there is the chocolate smoothie! We get food from here often and it is consistently fast, fresh and delicious. We used to eat in and do take out but with the pandemic we've been getting their curbside pick up about once a week. They are friendly and fast - the food is always ready in about 10 minutes so don't call ahead too early. So much healthier than all the fast food options and if you call about 10 min ahead it's still the convenience of a drive thru. They do a good bit of business so I'm sure everything on the menu is good. My husband usually gets the chicken rice plate and I get the pork vermicelli. We can't resist getting the spring rolls too. Edited review: got take out instead of eating in this time. I was really excited to share this place with my husband but the food was disappointing. The veggies were old, soggy and had black spots all over them. It was so disgusting that I couldn't finish my food and after looking through the rest of my veggies, I noticed that there were black spots on all of them. I'm never NOT in the mood for V Bistro. Everything we have ordered has been hot, fresh, and flavorful! This restaurant is normally pretty crowded, but service has always been good. My go to is the spring rolls and a pork rice plate with a fried egg on top. I keep saying I'm going to try something new, but that plate is delicious, y'all!
