She immediately gave me the names of the social workers at GSH that would delay the release for 12 hours & at same time contacted a caregiver to be at my mothers home when the ambulance dropped her off. She came three hours late, when she was supposed to be at Plainview Hospital at 9am. She could talk about her son in great deal about how he was going out with a girl who had aides. She neglected my mom for three hours and my mom had to call up the agency to find out where she was. If anything bad would have happened, the aid would have gone to jail for neglect and the agency would have been held accountable legally. She also neglected my mom towards at the end of her life at Plainview Hospital. She went out for three hours, instead with my mom. My father came in the hospital room and didn't find her. She came back within hours and threw out of the room. On June 14 2024, my mom fell on the dining room floor. The aide Joyce didn't follow my father's instructions not to walk alone with her. Joyce the aide didn't call 911 and the agency. My father who I a retired physician did.

The staff are not very friendly and do not seem to interact on a regular basis except to give them medication. The residents of the facility seem to be more than just Seniors. The residents are those that have problems and need help with everyday needs. The owners Mrs. Schorr and her son Ira Schorr are nasty and disrespectful to the residents. The only time they are nice is when they are asking for the monthly rent. They speak to the residents in a nasty tone of voice and they speak just as awful to their staff members as well. These two should not be running a Rest Home because they do not know how to treat people. They failed to understand that residents who are placed in this type of facility either are Seniors or those that have problems that can not live alone. They need to be reminded of that when dealing with these residents and running and operating this kind of facility. I am sure that it is difficult running a facility with so many different people that have individual needs but screaming at the staff and the residents is not the solution but the problem. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I give them a F in all areas.

Then when I finally get to orientation I was told I cant do it because I was not in uniform when I was never told to wear a uniform for orientation. so I let it go. I went next door to purchase a uniform so I can make it on time as I was told by the person there. once I come back I was told my physical expired yesterday so I cant take orientation today because of that. I felt as if they put any obstacle for me not to be able to get in there. I don't speck english to well but I completely understand it and I felt as I was being discriminated for my race by making it impossible for me to go through the hiring process as I am 100% qualified for the job.
