Let me start with the name which says European Caffe, Cuz I believe it s more of a Turkish Cafe! They have turkish coffee, Baklava, and more turkish food/appetizer. The outside is designed nicely, with some inspiration from London Red Telephone Box as well as Paris Pont Des Arts ( the pedestrian bridge in Paris which crosses the river Seine). Outside patio has heater which is really great for Southern California weather at night. I ve had Turkish coffee several times , its great! The Baklava is tasty, I also ordered lentil soup which was different than Other lentil soups I have had. My friend ordered the salad and I think it was WHATEVER! Falafel was good as well. Sauce was rich in flavor and the chicken was juicy. The medii salad was okay, 2/5. nothing to spectacular, the two small pieces of bread that it came with weren't toasted, kinda soggy. The avocado toast was 3/5. Flavor was there but the bread wasn't really toasted. The potato wedges it came with were a little cold. The cacio e pepe pasta was 4/5! Pretty solid as well, came with mushrooms. Seasoned well, but a tad on the drier side, not as peppery. Overall, go safe and get the pastas!!! Will definitely return to try their paninis! Drinks 5/5: ordered the utopia latte, exactly what you'd expect. Tasted delicious not overly sweet. Also great photo op. Also ordered their Turkish coffee. Comes in a beautiful but small display. Service was excellent! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and with a smile! Dessert: the one with the pistachio topping was a little dry. It could be a little more moist. Pastas: we got the bolognese, pesto, Alfredo, and spaghetti!! They were all REALLY GOOD AND TASTY! however I wish we can have the option to add chicken to the pesto pasta! And maybe having shrimp or any seafood on the pasta menu would be nice Drinks: mocha and utopia latte were unique and different and pretty good as well! It's certainly a photogenic cafe that is trying to create a european vibe, but their coffee is rather lacking. Came here and ordered a turkish coffee and a utopia latte - their most popular fares - and each order came with a small pastry bite. I think for me either the shot wasn't pulled correctly or something else was missing as both drinks were rather watered down. Not sure if this was intended, but turkish wasn't filtered correctly and had a large coffee ground deposit at the bottom. The latte was adorned with white chocolate, pistachios, and rose petals (it's sweet enough, don't add the whipped cream) but the espresso flavor itself was lacking. Again, both drinks were visually appealing but there wasn't much substance. It was certainly crowded on a rainy sat morning, so just hope you get a table. I hope they just didn't do our drinks correctly, as portola coffee literally across the storefront and can certainly poke them in the right direction. EDIT: changed to a 4 star. Despite what I feel about and stand by my opinions on my drinks, I do heavily consider customer service. Owner's response was patient and kind - good luck on your caffe! read more

Very nice place, clean on the inside, and the staff seems friendly enough. I had a hard time choosing breakfast because everything sounded a little off. So I went with a breakfast sandwich but instead of ciabatta, I asked them to put it on a croissant. I got to be honest. This is the worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life. It's kind of hard to mess up a breakfast sandwich. It had like 16 eggs on it which I guess some people would appreciate the larger portions, but I do not. It had mozzarella cheese, which is a weird breakfast cheese to me. It had the most disgusting salami, I'm not a fan of salami, but I thought I'd give it a try cause I've never heard of anyone putting it on a breakfast sandwich. Came her today for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. Definitely not a large party place to have breakfast but perfect for around 4 people. Got a mocha and it wasn't too sweet or too bitter. The orange juice was very fresh and sweet, but had just enough tart. My meal was the American breakfast. The potatoes looked like they weren't a going to be great but I was shocked to discover how perfectly crispy and savory it was. I would honestly come here for just the pancakes. Whatever they do to the batter is great. I'm honestly one of those obnoxious people who loves syrup and I felt that the pancakes were perfectly sweet with the amount of syrup they give you. My eggs they were eh but whatever the sauce they give you on the side is so excessively good that I ate all the eggs because I couldn't resist dipping it in the sauce. If you have a kid you can get them a chocolate or other candy if they are good and they have cakes and other pastries but I haven't tried them yet. Overall an amazing experience. read more

This is a really cute spot for a casual brunch. The avocado toast and Utopian latte were tasty! My boyfriend had the Santa Ana omelette and loved it because it was "very cheesy". We will be back to try some of their pastries, which look really appetizing. Service was not good at all. After ordering our food, we had to wait for almost 30 minutes for one of our lattes to be served, and they never made our second drink until I went up to the cashier to ask about it. The staff was very disorganized, and orders came out wrong left and right. They did not seem to know how to prepare their own menu. After an hour of waiting, we finally got our food, but it did not come out as advertised. The avocado toast was two pieces of toast with avocado slices, tomato slices, and a fried egg on top with a cucumber and tomato salad on the side. It was basically sliced vegetables and fruit served with a piece of toast and egg for $9. Not worth it at all, especially for an hour wait. Furthermore, my pastrami sandwich did not have pastrami. There was an excessive amount of this spicy spread smeared on the bread that overpowered everything. At least 90% of the sandwich was lettuce. The ingredients don't even list this spicy spread at all in their pastrami sandwich. To make it worse, the group of Instagrammers next to us received more attention than anyone else. No one checked in on us to make sure we were fine, but everyone wanted to check on these girls as if they were VIPs. Not a great experience at all, and won't be coming back. You'd think that an establishment would be prepared to serve their guests before opening, but this apparently was not the case. read more

I have been to this location two times with several friends in the morning for coffee and two more times with my son for lunch. All four times were exceptional! This service is stellar the food delicious and the ambience and cleanliness of the actual space welcoming. The staff Ben's over backwards to make sure you are not only happy but are delighted with whatever it is in order. The pasta though simple it was very tasty and the noodles were soft!I kinda wished there were more toppings on it like mushrooms or onions. The arugula salad would be better if it had less dressing because it was pretty drenched, making the overall taste sour from the lemon and vinegar. As for the utopia latte it was pretty tasty!
