This is the worst post office I've ever delt with, they NEVER answer their phone! I live a little far and made a special trip to pick up my packages to find out out they were being delivered. Always a problem with my packages. Time has gone by, I see they have no intentions on improving anything. Still not answering their phone. Where to start, more than once they've taken my delivery and instead of putting it out for delivery they ship it back to Sun City West and they send it back to Sun City where they let it sit a day before shipping it back to Surprise where they mark it as getting ready for delivery " Again" only to change it's status at the end of the day to in process AGAIN ! All this to get a small little package from Mesa AZ to Surprise AZ. 45 minutes to an hour away in good traffic. Are you kidding me ? That's Wednesday to Saturday to get a package from Mesa to Surprise and STILL not making the delivery or able to properly locate my items, you should be fired. read more

not handicap accessible, auto door was broken, I couldn't get in until someone came out, the employee working refused to help me at the lower counter that was for disabled access. I couldn't reach the computer box The employee at the counter must hate her job because she was rude, she refused to help me and someone in line had to help me enter my info, when it should've all been done at the lower counter. She refused to get me a supervisor, this post office is in violation of the United States ADA act! The should be fined immediately and the counter clerk should be in the back room if she doesn't want to help the disabled! Now it makes sense why this location has 2.5 stars here on yelp. I went today to ship out 2 Amazon returns with Amazon provided return labels. For some reason I waited in line to see a clerk (first mistake) after 20 minutes it was my turn, I came up to her (I didn't catch her name but she was wearing glasses) she scanned the prepaid label and says "tell your seller to provide you with a label that hasn't been used yet, this label has been used already" it threw me off as Amazon was the one who provided the label. I walked over to their kiosk, I scanned the label and the system took my package. It is now in transit. USPS please provide proper training to your employees. She clearly has no idea what she was talking about. Also, she speaks in a condescending tone to elderly people. read more

I visited this USPS location this morning and witnessed a staff member, Marie, handle a difficult situation with impressive patience and professionalism. She was simply following protocol, yet was met with unnecessary hostility from another customer. The customer even went as far as talking poorly about Marie to other customers in line on her way out the door. Despite being yelled at and even threatened with complaints, she remained calm, respectful, and patient the entire time. She deserves recognition for her composure and handling the situation gracefully despite being treated so poorly. There is never any excuse to treat employees that way for simply doing their jobs and following protocol. Great customer service! read more

I usually have good service at this location, but the last few days their lines were absolutely horrendous. I want to two different days during the week all before noon and the line was always almost out to the door, and an older gentleman advised me that they only had two workers. how to operate a post office but only two workers have almost 20 people in line waiting to be service that definitely need to hire more help. The postal worker was remarkable. I went there in the morning of July 15, 2025. There were three postal workers at the counter. All seemed to be working very efficiently. But there was one that expressed joy in her interaction with customers. Her name was Anna. As I stood in line, I hoped that I would be called by Anna. And I was. I don't know where to begin. She loved her job. She loved interacting with people. She loved people. I was sending a package to the White House and had lots of questions. She was just so knowledgeable about the various services that the Post office had to offer, and presented them in an easy to understand way. She was just such a joy to interact with. Great sense of humor and a wonderful person. A special thank you, Anna, for the wonderful moments that you shared with me. I will probably never forget you. read more

Carrier put my package (live plants) in the locker and left an unmarked key. Daughter helped identify the box but it wouldn't open. Called over 10 times but no answer. Drove over there and was told that they would get in touch with the carrier to have them bring package to house. Still waiting and now they are closed until Monday. Safe to say my plants will be dead by then. Thanks for nothing. read more

I don't know what the deal is with the service with this location. HORRIBLE! My delivery for packages coming out of this location always gets messed up. Using informed delivery is always inaccurate then constantly changes from one date to another as to when an item should be arriving. Yet, they continue over charging for services that are never provided. Making you jump through never ending hoops to file a claim. Always denied for one reason or another outside of the post office being at fault for late deliveries and damaged items they take no responsibility or actions for. Can not find locations to deliver mail. GPS, Amazon, fedex, and UPS can Fid the address but USPS cannot. Pathetic.

I try and be understanding considering this is the usps and they do get incredibly busy, but they continually deliver packages to the wrong mailbox. Want fast customer service? Then save the phone call because they never answer. In a world where we deal with small businesses now saying "we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages" "No refunds or replacements offered if packages are lost by mail service" it feels defeating when usps postal carrier can't just deliver to proper mailbox. It's hot, you're rushing, I get it.... But I don't think it's too much to ask to just get your mail delivered properly. Funny thing is, we live local, and this is our "home" usps postal worker location so you can't just hop up and change your carrier. Based on the other reviews this clearly isn't a singular issue. Came here at the beginning of the week to mail my Christmas packages. Yes I am all done Christmas shopping besides stocking stuffed for my mom, hubby and girls. The line gets pretty long especially over the holidays. This is quite a busy location with Sun City being near by. The line goes fast. They always have someone asking if anyone needs help, has question or certain needs they could take care of right away to help things flow even faster making it convenient for everyone. If your feeling handy and independent you can mail small to midsized packages you can walk right in before the line and do it yourself. Outgrowth there is a five up mailbox if you just have a letter. Just moved from WA...I have to go to the post office every day to retrieve mail. They haven't started to deliver in my area. North Cooper Canyon. They have no idea when they will start. Apparently the mail box locks are on back order. Seriously! How long they been building out here and it's taking this long to get some darn locks. The least they could do is give us updates on the progress or something. As homeowners important papers and things are sent. This is mostly about the delivery people that deliver to our house. They are lazy and refuse to take packages to the house; leave them in a wash area, and in the direct sunlight. I've reported them over and over again and absolutely NOTHING has been done!!! We have absolutely no issues with FedEX or UPS delivering packages to our door, under our porch, out of the elements! Why the heck is the USPS ok with lazy and I considerate drivers?!!! The staff at the post office was so kind and helpful today. I made a mistake on a stack of mail and I had already dropped it in the outside bin before I realized my mistake. Long story short... Tanya was amazing! She took the time to find my letters. She was so kind and patient looking through the entire bin. She went above and beyond for me today even adding tape to some of my envelopes that were coming open. Tanya even follow up with me to let me know it was all fixed. I've barely moved to the area and this is the closest post office to my house, but I have yet to have a good experience here. Highly recommend not having to load anything digital after you get to the front of the line, you'll get zero network connection in the building and the wifi is terrible, they'll skip you to help the next person if it's not ready quick enough. read more

I will not mince words. This post office SUCKS! I needed to mail something. I figured that I could get my box, go to the self service kiosk, put my info in (medium sized flat rate box....flat rate, no matter how much it weighs up to 70 lbs) and be on my way. NOPE. The self serve kiosk says that I cannot mail that type of package there and that I had to "see an associate". Well, now I am in line behind 30 other people. 2, yes 2 USPS employees working the line. Took 45 minutes to mail a package that I should have been able to do on my own. Once I got up to the counter, the lady was nice, but fuck all this noise.....hire some more people! This isn't the first time, either. EVERY time I have been to this post office, it is always an ordeal. Better not have shit to do for about an hour, or bring some water and snacks. I had hundreds of dollars in formula sent to my home with the shortage it's been lifesaver being able to ship. I moved addresses so my formula subscription didn't get shipped to the new house. I went to our local post office because customer service told me the package was stuck at this location since my new address isn't registered yet. When I checked at this office after 30 minutes of looking for my now lost package the teller said she couldn't find it. Devastated I explained it's formula lots of it and if I can speak to someone. Another 30 minutes passes and one of the managers I'm not sure I didn't get their name promised me they were looking everywhere for my package. I sadly left with no package and went to the store to try to find formula elsewhere. Hours later the usps lady rings my door and they found my package and delivered it! Absolutely amazing! my new address is so difficult to find and it was within hour of their closing time on Saturdays. The team here genuinely cared about my issue and made sure I got what I needed!
