I went to Bristow USPS location to renew my passport, and this was honestly one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The behavior of some of the employees was not just unprofessional, it was completely unacceptable. First, a white woman I interacted with, who appeared to be around 50 years old or older, had absolutely no sense of basic manners or respect. She told us to for our appointment, which was fine, but the way she spoke was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. Her tone made it seem like she was talking down to us. It was shocking to see someone in a public-facing role behave this way. I regret not noting her name from her badge. Second, when my appointment time came, I was assisted by a white man named Collin. His attitude was just as bad, if not worse. He acted as if he owned the entire USPS location, showing no courtesy or professionalism whatsoever. His behavior toward customers was unacceptable and reflected a complete lack of respect, mumbling in his throat to make you guess what he is saying. 0 knowledge of interaction.Extremely nonsense guy I have ever had experience. He was acting like you are asking a favor to get his service. This kind of conduct should not be tolerated in any workplace, especially not in a public service setting where people are paying for essential services. The administration needs to take serious action and hold these employees accountable. The only positive note from this visit was an employee named Michael. Although I did not personally interact with him, I observed him greeting every single customer with a smile and speaking in a very respectful and polite manner. He stood out clearly and set the example that others should be following. Overall, this location seriously needs better management, training, and accountability. Customers deserve basic respect. If employees cannot treat people properly, they should not be working in customer service. read more

I frequent this location because of its proximity to my place of work. This location almost always has a line, but it moves relatively quickly. The staff are always helpful and polite. I can only think of a couple times that I've been frustrated here. A majority of the time they're happy to help and quick to assist. I've been told by the staff that if you're dropping off packages that are already labeled and ready-to-go without needing a receipt, you're good to just head to the far right side of the store and drop the packages on the shorter counter with no plexiglass in front of it. No need to wait in line, which is what I'm doing 90% of the time. read more

Hey Stephen, hey Stephen!!!! Stephen was the gentleman who assisted the kiddo and I with a new passport for the kid since you cannot renew a minors passport. I was able to make the appointment online so all we had to do was walk in at our appointment time to be assisted. The entire process took all of fifteen minutes from start to finish. The location does have the ability to take your passport photo for you. Super convenient but as expected overpriced, if you ask me. Back to Stephen, his customer service was stellar as he helped me make corrections as needed . He made the process seamless. The only down side to this location is the horrid parking lot. It looks like once everyone who works there parks, it's like 3 spaces left so we had to wait a bit to park. read more

Can't seem to do their job. Packages come here to sit for an ENTIRE DAY when they're due to be handed to Nokesville for delivery. It is beyond ridiculous and unacceptable to take a full extra business day to deliver something 5 minutes up the road. Why is it that the rest of my family's mail can arrive the same day mine should but mine sits a whole extra day to go to the same address?? I'm at the point of filing a complaint because I'm sick of doing their jobs for them. After all, I don't get paid to. read more

I like the ladies that work here but Jim Ford is pretty much the laziest idiot I have ever came across. I dropped off a package and it was returned to my house saying it needed postage. The postage was on the side of box but when I got it back it was ripped off. Thankfully I have a pic of the tracking number. When it was tracked it said the package was in Dulles preparing to be shipped.. he basically implied that the tracking number I had wasn't for that package.. however when you look at it clearly says the same information that was on my receipt. Time stamped! So I so happen to have a receipt with the tracking information to some mystery package in Dulles that originated at the same office I dropped mine off act? No rocket science says the label was either taken off in error or came off accidentally. His response was simply "it's your word against mine" no your stupid and incapable of critical thinking.. As if I would lie about a $10 label and you can clearly see the damaged box where it once was. I also have a picture of it. read more

Ever since they took over Nokesville's mail a few years ago it's gone downhill. Things arrive late on a regular basis. It's exhausting and after all this time of just grinning and accepting it, I finally have to write this review. I'm just tired of seeing my mail sit at your post office all day waiting to be sent to Nokesville. You don't need to be a middle man. We did fine without you before. read more

Normally call and work this direct but today was last straw of poor service. Our mail carrier has history of delivery. Today held mail was to be delivered and wasn't. Was key letters is held mail based on USPS notification and wasn't in the mailbox. Additionally, Voice Response System when calling the 800 number has a poorly designed menu; local post office number was not our responsibility call Gainesville to discuss carrier issues (not our problem syndrome); and when called the Gainesville Annex, got their VRS it said no one their leave a message, then says thank you and hangs up. read more

Awesome service! Daughter and I breezed thru with our Passport applications after 3 attempts at other locations.

I've been dreading getting my passport stuff straightened out, but then I remembered there is a post office close to me that isn't in Woodbridge. The Woodbridge post offices get terrible reviews and are very busy. I went to this post office and the lady at the counter was extremely helpful and extremely kind. I don't think she had to help me, but she did. And I appreciate it. I went in around 8:40 or so, and was out by around 9. This has been the most fulfilling day I've had in a long time, and it's only 9:30! read more

Went away unexpectedly and mail got backed up. Instead of receiving the typical yellow slip alerting you to go get all your mail that wouldn't fit, the postal service worker has decided to deliver ONE MONTH OLD mail daily. I'm just now receiving Halloween Cards - my mail is post-marked for October... so where is my current mail? I missed a jury summons and my child missed his birthday cards for November - even though it's December now! TERRIBLE PROCESS FOR WHEN MAIL GETS BACKED-UP. Very frustrated and have filed an official compliant with the main USPS site. read more

This usps is a hit or miss, sometimes you'll get someone friendly. Other times you'll go in and get someone who's rude and will barely speak/speak up loud enough to hear. The other issue is instead of listening they get stuck in the stuff they have to say. I get that they need to say certain things verbatim, but they should still be kind and present with the customer they have. It is still a customer service position. So hiring someone who does not have strong customer service skills should not be working up front. read more

After waiting for more than an hour to speak to someone, I was told someone from the Bristow post office would contact me within three days. Well, nope...still waiting. Now calling the 800 number listed with another wait time of "greater than one hour"....Only a government agency could get away with such poor management and customer service. read more

I use this PO for all my mailing needs because it is super close to me. I am so torn on this review. Sometimes I go in and get great service. Other times, I feel violated. There have been a bevy of people here and over the last year. Currently the lady running the front counter can be a hit or miss. Some days she chats with me other times she rolls her eyes at the new software and system they installed. Yesterday I was in line waiting and she looked over after finishing with her customer and tilted her to the side? No words. No next, no wave to come forward, so I said hi. I just need some stamps. I felt like I was bothering her. She sighed and throws out a packet of flag forevers so I guess I was not getting to select which design I want, I needed others so I quickly told her before she rang me up. I guess the new system is annoying her but I am a customer and a low maintenance one at that. While I tried to talk to her, it was useless. She was gone before I grabbed my stamps to leave. Oh well. Will try her next week. To her defense, I have stayed and talked with her before and she is very pleasant. I have encountered some attendants that always want to charge me for a parcel when it's a letter. I never argue, I pay what they tell me it is and then I have mailed future "parcels" in Gianesville where they say it is a letter. read more

We moved at the beginning of October and submitted a change of address within plenty of time. We moved within the same zip code, so technically, this was still our same post office. Anyway, we moved to a busy road. It took a couple weeks to finally start receiving mail, and instead of receiving a large amount of forwarded mail, it was just mostly fliers and a few other things. Our home owners insurance contacted us threatening to cancel because they got a return to sender. We had friends mail us stuff after we moved and got it returned as well. Since then, our service has been spotty at best. I went from receiving mail every day, even if it was just junk mail, to maybe getting mail 3 times a week. We are expecting something that was mailed from Bristow over a week ago! Still haven't received it and it contains a check. I don't know what is going on with this post office, but I am beyond frustrated! read more
