As other reviewers have mentioned, parking sucks, the line is always to the door, and the attitudes of most employees leave much to be desired. My one reason for leaving a positive rating is Tim. In my 3 years of using this location (PO Box and regular shipping needs), Tim has been the only employee who has consistently provided me and other USPS customers with exceptional service. He greets you with a warm smile, remembers your name, and is always willing to go above and beyond to assist you. He has demonstrated himself to be courteous, professional, friendly and readily available to answer any questions you may have. If you happen to get anyone else at the counter, good luck! If you get Tim, trust me, you are in good hands! read more

Serious issues with accountability for delivery of important letters. WHO DO WE CONTACT WHEN INFORMED DELIVERY SAYS DELIVERED but the mail never turns up? Trash mail and fliers get delivered but not my DRIVERS LICENSE. It's been three weeks... no letter. What's going on? Why is there no help with lost mail? The DMV only uses regular mail but my COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE has NOT been delivered. I've spent hours and hours on the phone with the USPS and the DMV trying to track down my license that the post office was supposed to have delivered. Where's the accountability? Nobody knows or has any information YET ITS THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE IN VIRGINIA.... USPS YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER THIS IS REALLY ALARMING. read more

Went on Tuesday. Rode the bus and walked to get there to see that they were closed in the middle of the day. Door says ring doorbell but no answer. My package will now be late and I possibly lose a sail. Really needed the money too so it's really disappointing that you can't depend on them. read more

No one answers the DAYUMMMM PHONE! Called all.times of the day, early, middle and evening! Good luck if you get thru

The lady with short curly hair is not good and rude. Tim was so so good and helpful. I wish he is the staff on the counter always

If I could leave zero stars I would. went in just for the passport application and the lady rudely said held her hand up in a stop motion. I clarified "no, you don't have them" and she just held her hand up and said "no". I didn't want to wait inline behind 8 other people just to know if they had them or not and I guess it was too hard to answer my question without me waiting in line for hours. It sad to see workers so miserable that they take it out on the customers. read more

POST OFFICE BOX FEE INCREASES same box that I have had since 1991: 2010: $ 70.00 2016: $ 102.00 2020: $ 148.00 2021: $ 188.00 2022: $ 212.00 2023: $ 226.00 2024: $ 232.00 One can only buy $20 worth of stamps at the kiosk and thirty stamps an item on their menu is just over $20, not allowed. If they want money why are they gouging customers boxes and not allowing the purchase of stamps, at least $50 worth. My girlfriend still has pen pals.... Picking up packages can be a nightmare, they repeatedly failed to put them in the bin. Then one time I was picking my girlfriends package up and got into an argument with the clerk. We have both been getting mail there since 1991. Consider that from 1991 - 2010 we could ring the buzzer at any time to get our packages. The services are being degraded. I try not to get any packages there as UPS, FedEX and Amazon all deliver to the household. Their failure to put oversized packages in the bins and the rudeness when they are picked up is upsetting. read more

I put in a report that I had not been receiving my mail. The lady called and from the word 'hello' was rude and nasty almost as if she wanted to start an argument when I answered my phone. Being a called a liar when I say I haven't received my mail in 2 weeks is just unprofessional. Yelling at me because you don't want to listen to my concerns, is rude and unprofessional. Maybe you should hire people who like working with the public. I'm so disgusted with the way I was treated. It's no wonder the general public don't trust you and your having issues keeping it open. read more

I've had mail put in my neighbor's mailbox, mail for my neighbors in my mailbox, mail opened, mail undelivered, magazines and catalogs with finger prints on the pages, mail for previous owners. I've complained to the delivery supervisor at least 4 times. I've filed grievances with the Inspector General twice. The line stays long because the counter agents take an exceptional long time to process packages. One Asian lady is very good at her job, but after having to take up the slack from others, she doesn't press those packages out any faster than them. They also get annoying customers that deliberately take forever and are cuckoo. This place is suitable to purchase stamps, get priority envelopes, cash in mail orders, or use the kiosks. You had better believe that there is a serious matter going on in this location. I don't trust it one bit. After the first 2 years of dealing with bad mail delivery, I get my mail delivered elsewhere and my stress level was immediately reduced by 60%. This is absolutely not a US Post Office and should be shut down. read more

So I saw some of the reviews prior to going here and I was a little worried. Most of the reviews seem to be people dealing with employees at the register that aren't so nice. Thankfully my business here today was to apply for my passport, which is done in a separate room and by appointment only. So this review is strictly on my experience with that. I had to schedule an appointment online to turn in my passport application. I picked the earliest appointment of the day so I wouldn't have to wait. The lady that helped me was named Maritza and she was super nice. My appointment was at 9:15am and she took me in to the room a little bit earlier than that (have to get there 10min before). She looked over my application and documents, took my passport picture, and collected the fees all in about 10 minutes. It was super quick and I was out of there in no time. Overall I had a good experience with my passport application appointment today. read more

This post office is staffed with egotistical jackasses who try to cover up mistakes from their carriers rather than excel at customer satisfaction. Today was the most recent example where a postal carrier lied about knocking on the door to deliver a package and claimed to have left a notice. There was no knock. No doorbell. Nothing. When I called the Manassas Post Office, the rude self-proclaimed 33 year postal veteran kept tripping over herself with her lies attempting to justify what happened. When I asked for superior management, she became obnoxious. I told her about the mass of terrible reviews here on Yelp, and asked her what her response is to such extremely poor customer satisfaction. She absolutely refused and proceeded to continuously cut me off. This is the the most unprofessional post office I have ever seen. Highly recommend they be reported to the United States Postal Authority and a serious investigation take place of their record. Extremely bad. read more

I have been delivering packages for YEARS with this post office, never really had an issue. I have a new mailwoman that is unable to collect the packages I leave at my door, for whatever reason, which means they sit out there all day. I have been in to speak to the manager specifically about this issue, made repeated phone calls, and just today had the mailwoman knock on my door. When I opened my door and went to push the storm door open to see what she wanted, she pushed the door shut in my face, said something that I didn't hear, and walked away. This post office doesn't suck, every time I've been in TIM HAS BEEN EXTREMELY HELPFUL. It's frustrating to have sooooooo many people who want work and can complete the job of a postal worker/courier i.e. lifting 70+lbs. My heaviest package was maybe 20lbs. Avoid this place if you're starting out, look at Fed Ex or UPS read more

There have been a few instances now of either mail not getting delivered at all or mail showing up after being ripped open with some of the contents missing. Im not sure if the problem is inside the post office or somewhere on the delivery route, but I'd like to point out that "theft" seems to be a Manassas post office problem and needs to be addressed immediately. Very disappointed. read more

Yep, you'll know you're in a USPS facility as soon as you enter. Poorly stocked supplies for Priority Mail, a huge line for the one open clerk, 2 of 3 automated kiosks broken, and the horrible attitude of everyone that works there. The Asian lady at the front counter is especially rude. If you're lucky, she may even scream at you when you notify her the automated machine isn't printing labels correctly. Yes, If you had any other choice you'd be somewhere else, but you just don't for some things. Expect the worst and you won't be disappointed. read more

Didn't get the name of the lady we were on the phone with, but she was absolutely terrible over a mistake one of THEIR carriers made. Last Saturday I called this office because my package failed to be delivered. She immediately had a horrible tone and insisted that it was not delivered due to a fault of my own. First, she contacted the carrier and said that the house is vacant. I've been at this place for 2 weeks going on 3. While I have previously gotten other packages no problem. I tell her this and she scoffed at me. Second, she exclaimed "that's the reason! It's because you haven't done a change of address and that's why you didn't get your package." I informed her "I did change my address the day after I got the house." Lastly, she reached as far to say that it's because the name I have on the package is not the same as on the address. I had it delivered as my nickname and like I said it was not a problem for the other packages that arrived perfectly fine. I asked who the carrier spoke to in order to reach the conclusion that the house was vacant. She told me "Why would I bother our carriers with a question like that." My question is, why didn't she ask this kind of question when she had contacted him in the beginning? At this point I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with this person and I just asked if I could come pick up the package and show my ID. (I saw that the package was still at the facility). She said "NO, the package will be returned to seller." She was not informed, had no patience, and did not help one bit. It's like the whole time we were on the phone she was just searching for a reason that it was not their fault. I ended the call completely confused on what just happened. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

Despite the bad reviews on this place, the workers there were very kind, i'm sure they deal with pretty sh*tty customers on the daily so we need to give them a break. I mailed out a package and it was fast and easy. Thanks USPS read more

Is the Manassas Post Office so steeped in regional history it can't support modern business? This post office won't except package drop off with postage managed by Click & Ship, unless it's during business hours. While Click & Ship is antiquated on its own, it does help small businesses with shipping 24/7. But the Manassas Post Office requires drop off during business hours, which is horrible to small business!!Luckily Sterling can support Click & Ship drop off 24/7. Manassas needs to decide if it wants to stay 'small town/small minded' of join the rest of NOVA. read more

The parking lot here is a total clusterf@@k. It's small, one way road, and impossible to back in and out of when it's busy and there are 100 cars in the parking lot, and connected to an access road that backs up in both directions trying to feed into one light. That being said... they open at 9:00am and I was out the door at 8:53am. Yes, you read correctly, they opened early and had people out the door before they were technically even open. Score USPS!! I had to ship a package back to Amazon and of course got side tracked by the sparkling book of Harry Potter stamps. (Yes, I bought them.) I was literally in and out in about 6 minutes. You can't beat that! A lot of their services are provided by self checkout type machines which is probably convenient for some... I am not a fan. I chose to go to the actual human behind the counter. She was great. All smiles and clearly a morning person!! read more

The postal employees at this location work very hard and always greet with a smile! I have been using this location for over 4 years now. The Post Office box area has always been clean and felt safe no matter the time of day I drop by for my mail. I have also mailed quite a few packages, envelopes and even bulk mailings for my previous employer. My only downfall that I could attribute to this location is that it is usually packed and the wait times can be interesting...to say the least. Overall I would like to say I've had pleasant experiences with this location over the years and will continue to patronize this Post Office! read more

This post office is a joke How on earth does a package I ordered arrive here, and instead of being delivered to my house they send it to another post office in Parkville, MD? This is not the first time I have had issues with stuff I've ordered over the internet and shipped via the USPS. When there is a problem, 9 times out of 10, the problem doesn't arise until after the tracking number reports that it has arrived at the Manassas 20110 post office. They've either got some serious with their tracking system, or this post office is staffed by some of the most incompetent people in the country. Is there any way we can get a new post office with better employees? read more

Opened up a PO Box to have packages and mail delivered to so they didn't sit on my porch or mail box. They get delivered to them in the morning on time. I go to the post office the NEXT day (over 24 hrs later so they have time to put it in my PO Box) and it still is NOT in my box! It takes 2 - 3 days to go from one part of the post office to the other!!! They have super lazy people there that don't care about getting packages or mail delivered in a timely fashion. Always a long line to pick up your mail/packages as they can never find anything. They need to get organized, hire more people and hire caring people! So tired of this place!!!!!!!!!! read more

Just spoke with Sam at this post office. Called to complain about the same thing I have complained to this post office for years now - delivery of packages to our apartment complex office with NO NOTICES being left for the tenant so we know we have a package to pick up. Sam seemed to be very casual about it and his answer at first was "I'll speak to my coworker". I don't understand how these people keep their jobs when it is Postal Delivery 101 training that a notice is supposed to be left. He acted like this was an unusual occurrence but in speaking to my apartment office folks it is not. It is a systemic issue with at least this post office and they just don't care. The Postmaster is unreachable unless I want to take the time to go there and confront him face to face. Why can't they just do their jobs? Zero stars is more appropriate! read more

I downloaded the yelp app specifically to leave this poor review for the Sudley post office. If that doesn't say enough, let me fill your ears. Recently moved to the 20110 area, placed a forward of address, and it's been hell ever since. I receive every letter in a timely manor, without falter. However in FIVE months, this office has LOST THREE packages. The system is flawed, they mark packages as "delivered" prior to delivery, which totally fucks your tracking. First package they told me I was SOL and out 160 dollars- THIS IS HOW THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY AND WHY INSURANCE IS A JOKE. Mailer pays for insurance, my package is marked for delivery PRIOR to actually being on my doorstep, package never shows, USPS is not liable as the package is not considered "lost" and has been "delivered" That was 160$ I lost SECOND PACKAGE UNDELIVERED- I had to drive to a different town to pick up my package because the driver checked into a different depot then from where they left At least I got the package, but Jesus,WHAT A SHITTY SYSTEM. Today was THIRD PACKAGE UNDELIVERED, my package is NOT at the facility and "someone" will have to call me back. What did they suggest? ask my neighbors if they saw a package THANKS GUYS!! read more

AVOID AT ALL COST! Stupid, incompetent, "I have no clue as to what I'm doing here other than a paycheck," type of employees they have! I went to this location back in January to get a passport. Lady in the back room told me that she could not complete my process because, (get this) my dad's name doesn't appear on my birth certificate. Mind you, my dad was overseas serving in the military when I was born; so no, he was not present at my birth to sign my certificate. But that's not the killer. The killer is, just weeks prior to my arrival, my 19 year old son was there, and this same lady did his paperwork, etc., and HE was able to get a passport! His dad's name doesn't appear on his birth certificate either because he died before my son was born. The stupid woman kept saying, "The gubment make dee rule in 2 towsent elebeen." Yeah, I'm making fun of her accent, because I think it's rather funny that a foreigner is telling ME how to go about proving citizenship in a country where I was born! So, since 2011, this rule about both parent's name being on the birth certificate has been in place? And why is it only in place for some, and not all? My son was able to get a passport with the same info that I had given this woman, but somehow, I was rejected, and he wasn't. Not to mention, that everyone's dad's name will not be on the birth certificate. Haven't they ever heard of death, serving overseas in the military, absent father, or the mom simply not knowing who the father of her child is? I mean, it's sad, but these things do happen, and it really should NOT play a part in whether or not someone gets a passport. That's just wrong and stupid. Anyhow, after wasting an entire day on this mess, I ended up going to the post office in Bristow. Guess what? Not a single issue. The woman there saw that I had the necessary documents, and I got my passport 10 days later. read more

Service was very slow. Also I went to pick up my package that they were not delivering to my home because they said my mailbox was blocked when it clearly WAS NOT because they were delivering our basic mail but not delivering my packages. The lady said the driver already left with my stuff and I asked I asked for a phone number to call them back if my package was not delivered AGAIN and she gave a faulty number that is disconnected. The funny thing is I knew the number was disconnected because I tried calling them earlier so I didn't have to wait in a line but the number was not working and when I tried to show her that the number is disconnected she dismissed me and brought up the next person in line. Terrible customer service and providing false information is not good. read more
