This place is absolutely disgraceful. They receive packages and just never deliver them.

I wish I could give this USPS NO stars. I shipped out a package priority mail 2-day. USPS picked up my package from my home on April 2. On April 3, my package arrived at Bell Gardens. And that's where it ends. Since 4/3, I've had NO tracking updates. I called the USPS customer service line and was told they would open up an investigation. They also told me that they would get back to me within 48-72 hours. Look at that, I've heard nothing. It's ridiculous that there are THIS MANY bad reviews about packages being lost, tampered with and stolen. I work in the customer service industry and this is by far the worst customer service I've ever received. If you live near this post office, I would suggest driving MILES AND MILES away to drop your package off at another post office. read more

I needed delivered a package that was sent from Ohio on December 4 and was sent with a 2 day delivery. According to the tracking information, it arrived in the BELL GARDEN'S, CA facility on December 5 and should have been delivered within a few days to Santa Ana, CA (approxiamtely 30 miles). Well, guess what? it is now the 12th and I still don't have it. USPS shipped it to Dallas, TX arriving on December 8, who then shipped it BACK to Bell Garden's arriving there on December 10th. They claim that it was then shipped on December 12th at 3AM. The USPS person just left and I STILL don;t have my package. So much for TWO DAY delivery, and so much for the BELL GARDEN'S facility........next time I'm requesting UPS!!!! read more

Not even worth one star. I sent a Package out of Oakland on the 14th - as of the 18th, it was in Bell Gardens, and no one has seen it since. As of this morning, it hasn't even been scanned in to the state of the destination. So it will definitely not get there by Christmas. So I now have to explain a very bare Christmas to a seven and five-year old, and probably have to re-buy and re-send (via FedEx) everything. read more

My ebay package got stalled in the Bell Gardens USPS sorting facility otherwise I would have never read these horrible reviews. My mail carrier said he was embarrassed to admit that one place he used to work would just let packages sit for days. I was sure my package would disappear after reading these reviews and it really ruined one entire day of my life, but I have it now and I am happy. I am so sick and tired of this post office. I don't even know where to begin. I have had 8 packages lost and never delivered thanks to this damn location! I have called the 1-800 USPS SEVERAL times to only wait over an hour for someone to pick up my call and take down notes of my current situation. Its been almost three months now and no one seems to be able to resolve my problem with this post office. I have gone twice to try and talk to a supervisor and apparently there is never one available, I cant even count how many times I've tried calling and they never ever answer! Ordered a pair of boots on Cyber Monday, Nov 28 that was shipped from LA. Ended up at this post office for 5 days before the location updated that my package was in Washington State. Like WTF?! Literally was just shipping to another location in LA an hour away from the original shipping address. Finally got my boots yesterday, Dec 8 though I paid for 2-day shipping. Unfortunately, looks like another package of mine is now coming through the same post office. Who knows if I'll actually end up receiving this one. This location SUCKS ass. Don't come here, they won't help you at all. Teresa Villapodo, the manager is super unprofessional. I was in line, had a tracking paper in my hand, she didn't greet me, ask what was it that I needed, she took the paper from my hand, went to the back to do god knows what and never came back. They had to call her to come back and help me. When she came back, she couldn't help me at all with my first package. I asked if she could track another one of my packages and she said she's not going to be able to give me any information anyway. USELESS. She didn't even try. To put you at ease, I received my package (unopened, in perfect condition FYI) shipping from Japan no problem going through this so-called 'black hole'. Was so worried at first after seeing the negative reviews, but package just stayed here for couple hours and departed the facility. This office gets a bad rap because of a distribution center in the same city of a similar name. On everyone's tracking, it displays this office instead of the distribution center on Bandini. That is a huge facility where most of the bad stuff happens. I went to this office on Garfield to see if I could get what I needed, but unfortunately, most of the ire unfairly gets put on this office instead. Shut down his facility. It is run by incompetents and thieves. Whenever the track designates the hub of Bell Gardens I shudder as chances are the package will be lost in transit sent from the west coast to the east,or late in leaving. There is nobody in authority who will help. I've lost boxes and single packages of books. When I file a claim I'm sure it is put into the circular file. Feruary 21 I mailed a box of books to NYC. It left my local PO and on February 23 it supposedly left Bell. The buyer informed me he never received the book. Why do I buy a track when it doesn't serve its purpose?. My local PO gave me the Bell phone number which was disconnected. I googled Bell and got the number which I called to get the message that the person wasn't there and gave a forwarding number. Called that and the person answering it not only wasn't a postal employee but a client of mine living in Oceanside. I'm out $75.00 and I still don't know where my box is-in outer space? Do what the airlinesdo. Put in inspectors and cameras to find out who is misdirecting or stealing books. I shipped a package from Cleveland, OH to my mom in FL on Dec 21st. It was supposed to be delivered on Dec 28th. I can understand that it might not get to FL in one week (it is Christmas) but HOW it ended up in Bell Gardens CALIFORNIA and hasn't had a tracking change since Dec 25th is beyond me. This place has no purpose other than delaying your purchase as it is definitely is a "black hole." However, unlike real black holes, it is not entirely impossible for you to get your package back. My package was stuck here since Monday (3/6) and had been switching between "in transit for destination @ Bell Gardens" and "departed from Bell Gardens to destination." The tracking was glitching and remained this way until Friday (3/10). At this time, I received a response from customer service stating that they received my package and are in the process of getting it to me. PLEASE fix this specific post office as it greatly tarnished the reliance of USPS. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Twice now in the last month I had packages sent from LA down to Orange County and the dreaded Bell Gardens stop got me both times. How can a package from LA to OC end up on the East Coast, then get routed back to Bell Gardens then sit there forever? Don't even waste time trying to complain because they simply don't care. There is a difference between Corona and Corona Del Mar. I've had several packages over the past year that get routed through Bell Gardens and then get sent down to Corona Del Mar. Zip Codes aren't even close. The USPS website shows the package is out for delivery, but unfortunately its out for delivery out in Corona Del Mar and I'll have to wait probably a week to get my shipment. read more

I've been living in the City of Bell for two years. In those two years, I've had mail missing and packages lost. I receive regular mail on a daily basis but when it comes to city letters and police department mail, it never arrives! My mail carriers are excellent and I give them a thumbs up for their service. I shipped a pretty expensive package from Southlake, Tx to Walnut, Ca on 12-9-15. The estimated delivery date was to be 12-15-15. It is now 12-21-15 and the status is currently "in transit". I, too, understand it is the holidays, but this is unacceptable. Why is it that everything else I have ordered or shipped online has arrived in time? Whether UPS or USPS. This is the only thing I'm having an issue with. I called the Bell Gardens post office, and the gentleman said people get them confused with the distribution center. And that is where my package is. I sent something 2 day priority mail, with signature confirmation from the Clayton, CA post office, to someone in Los Angeles. On May 13th I mailed a package to my son in LA and it arrived at Bell Gardens Post Office on May 16th. It is now July 10th and the box is still there, lost in the bowels of this inept and corrupt facility. I've called multiple times and they do not answer. I've filed claims to no avail. I've never had any issue with USPS as they've always been reliable and on time. So, when a package I'm expecting gets held up locally like a few cities away I decided to do a Google search and found all these negative experiences with this facility. I hope for the best that it's just delayed and not plundered. I don't recall my previous USPS packages going through Bell Gardens but rather through Anaheim so I wonder if it's a new cost-cutting outsource measure. My tracking number shows my box of precious priceless irreplaceable scholarly materials is stuck at this facility. At least, i hope it's somewhere. It seems the dead letter office sent me a wrapper ripped off from my carefully packed box. Why would an employee cut off the address and mail it to me and pretend the package is lost? I've offered to come there from Minnesota and search through the dead letter warehouse to find my goods, but of course I get no response despite emails, phone calls and snail mail requests. By mistake Walmart.com shipped and billed my order twice, leaving me to keep one ,return the second. My first order is stuck in the FedEx/USPS " bell black hole". The worst ever usps! I my orders were quickly packed and shipped...unfortunately they ended up in Bell Garden and the tracking it stopped there since June 9th, 2015. After seeing the reviews, I called and waited for over an hour to be told it would take an additional 7-14 business days for them to arrived, and there is nothing they can do for me...for God's sake..the delivering destination is in Garden Grove, only 20 mins away.
