The worst ever usps! I my orders were quickly packed and shipped...unfortunately they ended up in Bell Garden and the tracking it stopped there since June 9th, 2015. After seeing the reviews, I called and waited for over an hour to be told it would take an additional 7-14 business days for them to arrived, and there is nothing they can do for me...for God's sake..the delivering destination is in Garden Grove, only 20 mins away. I called my vendor and they agreed to refund me but that doesn't justify the problem. read more

My package has been just sitting at this facility for 4 days now. Was notified yesterday (3/16) that it was "In Transit to Destination". It's expected delivery date was for today (3/17) and now it seems that my package has disappeared as it has not been delivered and the tracking has yet to be updated (9pm). Never had a problem with this post office facility. I buy and sell items on ebay often and i have never had a lost or delayed package as a direct result of my packages being handled through this facility. My packages always go through this post office. I am very sorry to hear all of the negative reviews. I hope customers will have their issues resolved as quickly as possible. read more

This Post office is a piece of trash. I've been awaiting a package from CA. The last scan was over a full week ago, when it supposedly departed bell gardens. Not so sure it made it on the truck. I think my package is still stuck there and I'm fed up waiting for it. Luckily I still have insurance. I can place a claim and get my money back at least. The incompetence here is outrageous. I couldn't get anyone on the phone. Of course the automated help line is of no help. The fact the number is ASK-USPS is a fuggin joke. You can't ask anybody anything. Only way I got someone on the phone is by intentionally reading my tracking number fast and mumbled, confirming the robots recollection of what she thought i said only to have her say its incorrect and finally give me to a person. When I did finally get someone, she assured me they'd send an alert to that office and I'd have someone call me. Well that hasn't happened yet but she told me it may take a few days. I'm hopeful but not optimistic. I talked with my local post office and had them do the same. I'm hoping all the inquires on my package will get it on a truck and to my door...in one piece I might add. This is just unheard of. This is a $350+ item! read more

I've had event tickets mailed and returned, causing my day to be completely re-planned because I've had to go to will call. Kind of defeats the purpose of advance purchasing. My bank card has been sent twice due to it not arriving. My bank has had to let me know when it will be sent (priority next-day) so I'm able to stalk my S**ty mail person. A few days ago my mom arrived right when my neighbor was handing back the mail person MY LETTER, clearly marked with MY ADDRESS. Yet, it was place in the box for a completely different property. My mail-box is marked and right in front of the house. I just don't get it if they are that negligent or simply hate their jobs. I didn't know they were so bad until I went online looking for a number to call regarding this because when we tried to tell the mail lady to be more careful, she walked away saying our house wasn't her regular area. What does that have to do with being able to place a letter in a box with the corresponding number? I don't know. This facility is a joke! All the reviews you see are the truth. My package was stuck at this facility for around 5 days with no update. When my package finally did arrive the box was smashed and looked like the box from the beginning of ace Ventura. Well, I am VERY HAPPY to say my box of gifts for my sister arrived unscathed and all the contents inside were in perfect condition...THANK YOU Bell Gardens!! I handmade several gifts for my sister who lives in another state & a couple were very fragile & were not replaceable. I did my part by packing in straw & reinforcing as best as possible with bubble wrap & some strong cardboard partitions but you know how that goes....I sent it off with a prayer & only paid standard shipping ($33.00!!)due to size & was told at the Post Office counter it would take at least a week!!! I was kinda bummed about the "week" duration when she lived only a couple states away but I was running out of time & with all my past experiences with USPS, I felt confident it would make it in about 4-5 days. "Fragile" was stamped all over & I kinda worried about drawing attention to that but again, did what I had to do expecting the worst....sigh. So that was the 19th when I dropped off at P.O. On the 21st it arrived in Bell Gardens, CA at their station....,22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th...no movement. Uh oh, my worst nightmare, it got lost or worse, because it was oversized & marked "fragile" someone couldn't fight the temptation to open it up to see what "treasure" they may find(seriously? at $33.00? no Express or 2-day?). THEN I went online and looked up the phone # for Bell Gardens P.O. so maybe I could follow up with a polite phone call as to what's going on??? There they were....all those reviews, not good reviews, remarks about the "black hole", the "Bermuda Triangle"??? Well, I remembered what the agent told me the day I dropped off the box, "it could take at LEAST a week".....I guess I hadn't given it enough time. I kept tracking box & exactly 8 days later my surprise box filled with handmade treasures for my ill Sister ARRIVED!!! She was shocked at the size & did tell me the box was in PERFECT condition on the outside! YAY! She had me on Skype while she opened box and TA-DAA, NOTHING was moved, EVERYTHING was exactly where I placed it in ONE PIECE!! YaaaaHooo!!! Needless to say, my Sister was screaming like it was Christmas Day with all the goodies..LOL!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH Bell Gardens for handling this priceless package with such care and getting it to my Sister in the time I was advised with EVERYTHING in perfect condition!!!! p.s. Postmaster Rhodora Nuqui told our mail carrier not to deliver mail to our address even though we had no forwarding instructions in place. She and her supervisor, Postmaster Sarabjit Chadha, both admitted this was a mistake. However, they have not acted with any urgency to fixing the problems Rhodora caused. As a result, one important Priority Mail 2-day package was sent to a central processing facility in Santa Ana, while another was returned to the sender. (I have still received no explanation as to why they did two different things with these packages.) Chadha refused to refund me any of the postage until I receive the packages back. Two weeks later, I'm still waiting for my Priority Mail 2-Day package sent on 9/10/15. After being sent to the central facility in Santa Ana, it was sent back to Richmond in Northern California, and then inexplicably sent back to Bell Gardens in Southern California. For other customers struggling with the awful customer service at the Millbrae and Burlingame post offices, here is the chain of command and the relevant contact information. I suggest immediately contacting all of them when an issue arises, as you have to be prepared that they will ignore you and it will be a while before anyone pays attention. Comedic Banter. I ordered a Bar sign off of EBAY from a company in China. The sign that arrived at my home after a month was nothing close to what I ordered. Of course, EBay offered to give me $50 back for a sign I paid $110 for. I decided to send the sign back to the vendor for $33 to China. After 2 months the vendor still had never received the Sign back and since I paid the $33 return rate instead of the $70 return rate I had no insurance on the package. Further, I used the tracking label from the post office and they show it was scanned at my post office but there are no subsequent scans that show it actually ever left my post office. Frankly David Copperfield isn't this good at making things disappear. Can I rate this a 10? Just for the experience of what not to do? read more

Anytime I have a package come through Bell Gardens I can promise that it will take an extra three days minimum of sitting at that location. Multiple times packages have been sent back to the original destination just to be sent back to Bell Gardens and then finally sent to me. I don't know what happens at that particular post office but I dread every time a package of mine ends up there, based on my past experiences. I wonder if there is a way to avoid that location all together. read more

SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. This is the 2nd year in a row I have shipped merchandise home from vending events in Cali and had it stolen. I don't even ship at this post office but the one I use (Torrance) sends everything to Bell gardens. Last year we had a box come home ripped open and emptied and taped back closed (with nothing in it). I thought hmm that was weird. This year I had my MOST EXPENSIVE box full of merch not show up on Monday with all the others. That's not weird, that's called proof. After reading all the other reviews on here I am surprised to know that anything is allowed to go through here or that this place is still open.Today is Friday so I Tracked my package and guess what? I sold a purse on eBay, transaction flawless....wait, NOT!!! when the Post Office got involved, what a mess.....the package was sent on May 15 with a delivery date on the receipt of May 22nd, you guessed it, it is STUCK in Bell Gardens.... I went to my local Post Office looking for HELP, got none, I was told by the Post Master that if she was to send anything, it would be Priority Mail, then it is sure to get to it's destination....funny thing is, there is NO signage in the Post Office saying that.........I sent the purse Standard Post, which I have before with NO problem....well, not happy with her answer, I sent an email to the Post Office, of course, it went to the Post Master I had just talked to, she said that mail sent Standard Post can take from 2 to 14 days or LONGER...then why in the world does it state on the receipt May 22nd??? When I went into the OKC post office to mail a Christmas gift on Monday, Dec. 19, I didn't know until I checked my receipt that the estimated delivery date was December 27. I was disappointed that the gift wouldn't arrive before Christmas but tracked the package to the Bell Gardens facility. After reading the reviews here I was certain I'd have to kiss that gift goodbye. The package was about the size of a football--small enough to be tucked under a coat and smuggled off the premises. Much to my surprise, however, the gift arrived at the intended address on Dec. 24th--three days EARLY. It was a Christmas miracle! read more

I had the worst experience yesterday with the guy from Indian nationality. I had went the day before and I got in line bought an a big envelope from them and I pay what ever I decided not send my envelope out with them, cuz I wanted to make sure it got to is destination, turns out social security office the place where my documents where going has no place to drop off mail and is obviously closed due to Covid. I go to the Post office the next day, I tell the guy working there, I pay for my envelope yesterday and he said ok. But he still charge me for it without asking me if I had a receipt. It was regular mail and it was around $5.80 I was like why so much is just regular mail well this guy was trying to charge me again. I wasn't going to stay quiet cuz Ain't even working. Of course I had my receipt he said oh is cuz they didn't put a stamp that you pay for it. I told him I don't know there job and is not my fault they ain't doing there job I felt really embarrassed, humiliated he was practically accusing of stealing. 0 rating for this place. Of course I wasn't able to talked to Manager because the wait is like an hour and a half and they don't ever pick up there phone. I Absolutely don't recommend this place. read more

If you've "lost" mail going through the Bell Gardens Facility please call the USPS customer service at (800-275-8777). It is an automated service but just keep saying "I want to speak to a representative" I actually got thru pretty fast. Make your complaint about Bell Gardens to them and they will open a case regarding it. Be sure to have any info like the sender and recipient addresses, tracking number and date, etc. If enough of us open cases against this facility perhaps something can be done! I agree put in cameras, find these thieves& prosecute them. While they're at it post their pictures on the walls of the post office!!!! The USPS Bell Gardens Sort Facility "loses" packages. Some have suggested theft. Do these packages just fall on the floor and get pushed under a counter? Must be quite a large pile of them by now! I shipped a package with tracking number on March 11, 2013. Tracking number claims processed through the Bell Gardens facility on the 13th of March and has since disappeared. My Covina post office expressed frustration with them as well. Looks like I'll have to issue a refund to the purchaser who never got this item plus the cost of the shipping. I too sent a package, a very large package 1/14/14 & it went to Bell Gardens sort facility. It is now 1/23/14 & still hasn't arrived to it's destination. No tracking update info on it either. Local Post offices won't take care of the issue but I believe the attorney general's office may since it seems Bell Garden sort facility is losing so many packages. But they can't know about this places shipping practices with so many lost/disappearing packages if people don't contact them. Giving my package a few more days then going to the top. I did so much research after I seen my package was sent to this post office and I didn't receive it the day I was suppose to, so I began to panic thinking I would never see my package. I was suppose to receive my package this week on the 24th, a day went by there was no movement I called this post office nonstop didn't get a call or email. My grandmother called the 1-800 number and finally talked to someone, she told her that they had trouble reading the address on the package which I didn't understand I order things online a lot, but yesterday I got a text notification saying that my package was finally in my city and that it got to my local post office. I honestly think it was god, the day before yesterday I prayed and hoped I wouldn't be another victim of this horrible post office. FORTUNATELY, it was passed on to the Downey, CA post office (where it is intended) this morning. From reading these reviews, I'm guessing this is a miracle, so to that I say, "Hallelujah!
