My package has been stuck at this location since March 11. No one answers the phone. There is zero customer service. They are holding onto my valuable items. I don't know how they haven't been investigated by the police. read more

I have once again another package that mysteriously is still tracking as being "stuck" in Bell Gardens. Strange considering this package had to go 1100 miles out of its way to end up there in the first place. No help from anyone as USPS after numerous calls and email inquiries. read more

I mailed a package 10/23 at the East Palo Alto office (already a bad omen on my part). By 11/1, I looked up the tracking number. It had never left Bell Gardens. According to USPS, I waited until it was 14 days from mailing and opened and investigation online, but at that time I signed up for text alerts. The destination post office employee called me and said she would look for it. She said it has never arrived from California (in Illinois). She had to call Bell Gardens she said, and she would get back to me. All of a sudden I got a text that it arrived in Forest Park--on 11/14. Well guess what we got? The box looked fine--not smashed but maybe a bit tossed around looking. Nothing abnormal. When my husband opened it---nearly everything was GONE. The box was taped back up and made to look acceptable for shipping after the PO thieves at Bell Gardens took our Brita pitcher, North Face jacket, Maui Jim sunglass case, 16 oz glass insulated water bottle, hair dryer and travel coffee container. All items my husband forgot to/couldn't take with him back home on the flight. I cannot believe it. So I have opened an investigation with the OIG at 888-USPS-OIG (888-877-7644). Please people, if you have experienced this open your own investigation. Forget about contacting the Bell Gardens facility. These workers are not in private areas stealing stuff. I'm sure the postmaster is either involved or turning a blind eye. If we don't get the oversight agencies involved, they will continue to sweep it under the rug and keep it hush hush and keep right on stealing!! This is for anyone applying for a passport. The USPS website will say they take walk-ins at this location from 10-3. They absolutely DO NOT. They offered a passport application appointment set for 3 months from today. Not sure what's going on here. Don't waste your time. read more

I would give 0 FREAKING stars!!!! I am going to take you to court you assholes!!! they are ridiculous!!! my package arrived 11 lbs less. This is grand theft because you idiots took stuff for more than $1000!!!! I am filing a claim with the police station so get ready! read more

This post office is a disgrace to our nation and should be shut down. I do not understand how this place keep on losing (stealing) peoples items and our government is doing nothing about this big issue. My company shipped loose diamonds to E.G.L USA in LA for grading but unfortunately our package never left this lousy facility and no one will help so far . Waiting for 1 hr on hold for nothing. We filed a case and all we got back from the postal services is we regret that we can not find any thing on this tracking number . I call on our officials to stop this stealing from the public via a federal government facility. read more

What a bunch of lazy employees! No help when calling for help... no explanation as to why I have a package sitting for 4 days for no reason. These people are here for a paycheck only and do not give a damm about any customers that need help or ask for assistance. Avoid and do business elsewhere. read more

I too, am currently investigating a "lost" package. Or a package that most likely got into the hands of thieves at the Bell Gardens facility. My package left BG, but ended up being delivered to someone IN CA...package was supposed to come to NY. I asked how it could have been delivered if it required a signature confirmation in my name and NY address, but the person I am speaking to in Consumer Affairs said the label could've been reused. Not sure exactly what that meant, but after hanging up, I thought about it and yeah, someone at the BG facility could've easily put a different label on it. All makes sense. It's a scam and like Kelly Q. mentioned, I'm not sure why an investigation isn't being conducted. Maybe a lot of consumers aren't bothering to take the time to look into further, but I most certainly am. read more

The Bell Gardens Local Post Office is often confused with the sort facility that is also located in Bell Gardens. The packages that are addressed to any city besides Bell Gardens, Bell,Cudahy,or Maywood never went to this post office. Bell Gardens only service those cities. If your package shows that it is at the sort facility you must call consumer affairs for assistance at 3235861250. The sort facility is a mail processing plant and do not have a customer service line. read more

Bad place to have your package sorted. Once it leaves the facility it probably goes straight to an employees car. Had a large and expensive order from overseas get sorted here. 7 days and no updates on tracking. Opened up a case but waiting on the investigation. Highly doubt they will find my package especially after reading all the bad reviews. I will definitely avoid having any packages sorted at this facility and may avoid the post office all together. read more

I have also lost a package at bells garden post office. I launched an investigation but nothing was done about it. Never heard anything. Good thing is paypal had my back. Does anyone have any contacts in USPS they can talk to? that is the only way something will get done. Its not about what you know, its about who you know. good luck everyone. read more

This has to be the worst sorting facility in the country! It is like a black hole! I dread my packages being sorted through this facility as a 2 day delivery ends up taking 7. The US Post Office hard at work... Thanks federal employees! read more

Thank you for all of the reviews. I have had a package "stuck" in Bell Gardens for 5 weeks. How can the government run a place like this?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone needs to call 888-877-7644 to report there case about this sorting office steeling !!!!! !!!!!!!!! they have stolen 3 packages from me so far now !!!!!!! the last one some one there cut off the shipping label and tossed it. the "label" was found and mailed back to me. they don't answer the phone numbers (562-806-1625 or 562-776-5294) some one there needs to be put in jail !!!!!!!!!! read more

God help you if your package gets sent to Bell Gardens! I've been waiting for a package since the 17th of September and I tracked it to this facility and it has apparently dissappeared. I've called and can't get through. After readiing previous reviews, I have to consider my package lost. How can a facility be so inept? This place needs to be closed. read more

There is something wrong with this facility. I've had a package disappear here with no explanation. I've had packages come out of here tampered with, i.e, mailed a pair of boots for a return and had the box come back to me a few days later with TOTALLY different boots inside that someone had to have literally taken off of their feet and switched with mine. The minute I saw another important package that was being sent to me was for some reason, routed here instead of Fresno, I immediately knew that this delivery might not happen. I've already planned my case information for paypal/ebay. They need to stop hiring thieves, fire and re-hire staff and get better security for their warehouse or burn the whole cesspool down. End of story. read more

I shipped a package from Palo Alto on December 7 . As of December 18 it is stuck at their Bell Garden facility according to the tracking info. I have no idea when they will ship it.The only info they offer is that it will not be delivered by estimated delivery time. I tried with no luck to get through to a human at the USPS customer service and at the 562-806-1625 number. I would give 0 stars if that were possible. read more

I don't have anything negative to add that everyone else here hasn't yet said - same old story as everyone else. This USPS facility hold items WAY past what is reasonable. Anytime my packages go through here, I know I can expect to wait days past when it is supposed to be delivered. I have no idea why they can't get the items out to local USPS within a reasonable amount of time. My priority package has now been in Bell Gardens Post Office for 19 days. I have called USPS and Postal Consumer Affairs but have heard nothing back. This same thing happened a month or two ago and the package finally arrived 4 weeks after it was mailed because if was caught in the Black Hole of the Bell Garden Post Office. After seeing so many poor reviews and complaints I don't understand why someone doesn't inspect this Postal Office and see what is going on. After all when the norm is that it is not getting the mail out I can't imagine someone doesn't check it out? read more

By the time you read this review - chances are - it's too late. It is with the deepest regret that I must inform you that the USPS tracking on your package will have no additional updates. The status will not change. Your package has been lost forever via Bell Gardens, CA 90201. While I know these words will do little to ease the frustration and anger you are undoubtedly feeling at this moment, I hope you will find some comfort in knowing that you are not alone. read more

My package has been stuck at the Bell Gardens L.A. Distribution Center. I have been working with my local Post Office in Yorba Linda. Been informed that Bell Gardens is attempting to "capture" the package. It's been sitting there since 09/27/2015. Contacted LA Bell Gardens: 323-729-4050. They can not track package and referred me to file a complaint with LA Consumer Affairs for the Post Office: 323-586-1250. We live in a world of high technology. How is this possible !!!! read more

I sent my package on the 13th from Torrance California to be sure to make it to West Islip in time for xmas! My package was sent to Bell gardens that same day. After that, there was no update after it arrived at Bell gardens for a few days then it said in transit to destination but didn't have a facility. I called customer service....waited on hold for an hour! They gave me the same answer that I already knew...the box was in transit but to no specific location AKA it was still at Bell and getting tampered with. My sister sent a package to the same address in New York after I sent mine and the recipient already had gotten her package. She sent hers through Long Beach. Long story short, 17 days later my friend received our package but it was sliced open on the side of the box and re-taped. I had a few xmas gifts wrapped for her children, which surprisingly were all there and still wrapped. Bell gardens must have known it was clothes and a hat and knew the value wasn't much so they decided to ship it after all. This is a shady post office and rude people who answer the phone. I am so mad but grateful my package arrived. Pretty sad to worry if a package you paid a lot of money to ship would ever get to the destination. Dishonest people in the world!!! I mean at Bell Gardens post office! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Yet another package lost in "the black hole". Package was priority supposed to be delivered in THREE days. Tracking says its been sitting at this hell hole for THREE days. Two weeks ago my friend in Phoenix mailed a box that shows the next day as "in transit" from Bell Gardens. The tracking number still shows the original estimated delivery date even though that date has come and gone. I went to my local post office and they said they would reach out to Bell Gardens but haven't gotten a response. I called the postal service to open an investigation but they haven't been able to find out anything. I Googled this post office location to find out if there is a direct line I can call, and it looks like there are an endless number of others who have had this same exact issue with packages either mailing from or passing through Bell Gardens. How is it possible to misplace SO many packages?? I HAVE to get this package and I'm not going to quit stalking this post office until they figure out what happened. read more

I do not what is going on with my package! It was suppose to arrive Dec. 30. Now it is Jan 9th. It was stuck in Bell Gardans, CA with no change in package for about a week! Then the tracking finally moved and said that it has left the facility on Jan 6th. After that no tracking! I have no idea where they sent it out and where it is no! So frustrating! read more

Seriously, the WORST. I've had a package of contact lenses stuck at this facility for over a week now. My tracking info literally says its arrived and has been in "sorting and processing" for seven days. That is so ridiculous! Its a tiny package of contact lenses, and I've never had an issue getting them shipped to me until this Bell Gardens black hole facility. Don't bother calling or heaven for bid actually going in and trying to find answers, they'll be rude and give you the run around-- government employees are always slow but this is especially bad at this post office. I sent a friend a package with a one of a kind animation puppet inside. It arrived at its destination ripped open, crudely taped, and filled with "back to school" style office supplies. (!)
