USPS - I know they had my packages but they didn't delivery. - Post Offices Near Me - Bell Gardens, California

Hello i am new to yelp but just had to post a review. I ordered something off eBay and while tracking my package the est delivery date was to be Friday the 29th 2016. I live in Whittier ca,90606 which is 5 minutes away. After waking up this morning to a message from USPS my package is now at the IOS Angeles USPS facility which is completely in the opposite direction from me by far. After looking at all the reviews posted about this faculty in Ball Gardens, I believe this place is a major waste of tax payers dollars. They need to be shut down. If I could give them a negative star rating I would! Very unprofessional staff, no way to pick up item, no way to speak to anyone there. read more

2 of the last 3 times that I paid extra for 2 day priority shipping, the delivery was screwed up at this facility. The package made it from the east coast in under 24 hours only to fall into this purgatory of USPS. It sat for two days only to be sent to L.A. instead of Orange County. From L.A. it was then sent to Fullerton. We'll seed if my 2 day priority package makes it to me in 5 days or if there's going to be further delays. Bell Gardens is obviously run by incompetent individuals that need to be demoted if not fired. read more

Absolute trash service from Guillermo. He's late, the other emplyee says he will arrive at 10 but doesn't arrive until 11:30 for passports. They give us times but don't even abide by it. It was so frustrating. This guy needs to either get told how to do his job and be on time or not to lie to customers on time. I expected to wait but not this long. Guillermo needs warnings, write up or to get fired. read more

Our Ebay business is suffering tremendously due to the failure of the USPS and their ability to handle our packages in any timely manner. We have loyal customers who have purchased from us for years who now refuse to buy our product any longer. Here is just one of many instances: A package was mailed from Southern California on Nov.28, 2020 the same day our customer placed his order. And it arrived at Jersey City, NJ distribution center on Dec. 4th. Fantastic! The package was less than 6 miles from our customers home. However, on Dec. 5th it was redirected to Richmond California distribution center where it sat for more than 2 weeks. After 2 hours on hold with USPS we successfully opened a case and the package was located! However, then the next day we got a message "Case Closed!" Yet the package sat for another 5 days. Called the USPS again and again was on hold for another hour and twenty minutes. Finally was able to find a competent USPS worker who made sure the package was re-routed back to Jersey City, NJ. One month later after we mailed our product it was delivered to our customers home. Countless hours of our precious time wasted not to mention our reputation tarnished. Thank you Mr. DeJoy for your successful systematic dismantling of the USPS. We know your intentions are for financial gain while millions of Americans suffer financial hardships as a result. read more

If I can I would give them a -10. I just can't believe how lazy, rude and unprofessional these people are. I've had so many bad experiences at this post office, But here's the most recent. I went in today because I got a notification that I had a package waiting for pick up. I went in and the Indian man was the one helping me. I told him I was there for a package and he said it was being delivered... he didn't even ask me for a tracking number. How in the world was he going to know my package was on its way if he didn't even check or ask for my address, name or tracking number. He didn't want to bother with me, he kept cutting me off when I was trying to talk and he just didn't want to hear it. "It's in the way" that's all he was saying. Guess Freaking what???? my package never came!!!! Ugh!!!! When the mail man got to my house I talked to him and he told me that I didn't have a package... he even double checked in his truck. My mail man is such a nice person. So sweet and he always yells for me when we have packages so they won't be out in my yard. It's the office people that are awful. Mailman- "it's probably still there because they have so many packages and it's a mess they don't bother to look. They just tell you it's on the way and try to get you out of there so they don't have to help you" When I went in it wasn't even busy, they were like 4 people in there including myself. What the f$@&! I mean this is their job! Too bad we can't do crap about it! read more

This post office is ridiculous. I had an appointment at 1 and they didn't assist me till 2 hours later. Waste of time. If I have an appointment at a specific time I expect to be assisted at that time. Because I have stuff to do and I don't have time to be waiting all day. read more

I FINALLY received my Christmas present yesterday that had been stuck in Bell Gardens for weeks.(YAY!!!) Sadly the box arrived crushed and had been ripped open and re-taped and the contents of the box were damaged/missing. My sister sent tons of various quilt squares, a fabric cutting mat, thread, a fabric stick cutter, candles, and other small goodies she thought I'd like. What I received was 3 oil stained fabric remnants that are filthy and unuasable and 5lbs of costco unsalted nuts +__+ ANYONE LOSE THEIR NUTS AT BELL GARDENS??? Because, I have them!!!! Some how my package along with other must have been smashed and USPS just shoved whatever they felt like back in the boxes taped them up and sent them on their way. I feel sorry for anyone who's package ends up here. USPS Bell Gardens shame on you! read more

After all the 'research' I've done on this facility, I can't say that I didn't panic when I realized all ten of my packages were at Bell Gardens! Thank goodness they got to their destinations eventually. I did not get any complaints about damaged packages (so far. . .) from customers, that's all good. The reason for the neutral review is because of the slow movement at this facility. About 5 of my packages sat here for 4 or more days, prone to stealing and whatnot. Though there was an exception, one of the packages got out of this black hole in a day :-) *happy dance* So personally, I did not have any serious trouble with the post office, but that may differ for others. . . read more

I didn't notice that this post office has such a bad reputation until I read the reviews. According to USPS tracking, my package left bell gardens post office on 10/24/16 9:20 pm and I post a photo for your reference. Now it has past two days, no new scan appears on usps tracking. Since so many people are in the same situation as me, I feel that we have to do something to make a change. Posting reviews on yelp helps us form a "victim" community but it is not that helpful. I find an agency that supervises usps and I attached a website that files a complain. If the post office told you to call whatever phone number that appears on usps.com, don't do it, because they are within the same system and complain to their own system doesn't help at all. When you meet a naughty boy, you find their parents to teach them how to behave. I sincerely hope that all of you guys go to the website I provide you and take a look and spend 15 minutes to file a complain. Especially those with damaged package and opened package. This is clearly stated in that website that shouldn't be done by a post office. Since it hasn't been 1 week from now. I can't report missing file. But once 1 week is reached. I am going to file the complain. I will renew this review and keep all you guys informed what I get. I sent two package for my grandson's 1st Christmas to South Pasadena, CA. Both packages arrived at the Bell Garden's post office, no problems, and I tracked them both there. Mysteriously, one package was not delivered. I tried phoning the post office which simply rang until someone picked it up and hung up. I did that one day for six hours and either it went unanswered and cut off, or someone picked up and hung up. This package was important to me. Yesterday, on the 27th of December ,I receive the mailing label I had used on the package, the postage label from Belcamp Maryland, the tracking label and my return label all perfectly in tact - looking as though they were cut from the box surgically with a box cutter. I received a PS Form 3760 to fill out and ship to a sorting center in Atlanta. My box contained $450 worth of merchandise, one of them being an American Express Gift Card for $100. I phone AMEX and they were able to tell me that the card had been activated and utilized! Apparently, my Christmas package (which was packed in a very sturdy box and labeled properly sealed with tons of tape, made a great Christmas present for someone other than my 1 year old grandson. The package itself was delivered to Bell Gardens. Bell Gardens sent back the precisely cut labels (including a piece of the box that I had used to mail the package) - so I know they had the box. I will file with the Inspector General and Consumer Affairs. This Post Office needs to be closed! Thanks Bell Gardens for ruining a little boy's 1st Christmas. I ordered a toy for a 9-year-old boy leaving for Hawaii with his mother on a business trip on the 18th of December and the toy is from Australia. Once it cleared customs in L.A., it was sent to San Diego and then Bell. I live in the Monterey area, and for some strange reason, the toy was sent by Bell to Sacramento instead of the San Jose USPS distribution center as is usually the case for priority mail. It was sent to Sacramento for no apparent reason. I am a native of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and putting it on that truck to Sacramento makes about as much sense as flying to PA via Oregon. I don't think that they pay attention to what they are handling, and I'm disappointed that the boy may now not receive his Christmas gift on time if his toy keeps going on the current merry-g-round it appears to be on. I'm very disappointed, but from the problems I read about Bell. I shouldn't be surprised. They are horrible and obviously don't care about customer service. read more

I went into my post office yesterday and the lady checked and said my package is "someplace called Bell Gardens." I would give a 0 rating if possible. Hmmm, could there be something shady going on at this facility?? Why isn't anyone checking up on the packages that have gone missing from this place? This place was horrible, not only did I wait half an hour for a small package but they said they won't be giving me my mail anymore because of "animal interference" when there are two entry ways into the lot where I live, in top of that it's not even our own animals just some random animal why not just call the pound to take it? Nobody in this area has been receiving their mail and I have electronics coming in the next day and they refuse to give them to me. There needs to be an option for no stars. The distribution center in Bell Gardens is the worst facility on the planet. Everytime my packages are sorted there they either are lost or stolen. I had a first class package sent 90 miles from Santa Barbra, Ca and it has sat in Bell Gardens for 4 days already. Tracking showed it departed the distribution center in Bell Gardens 3 different times on August 3, 2018, however it never reached by local post office 19 miles away, and now just continually says in transit with no scheduled delivery date. Getting assistence is an exercise in futility, they simply dont care that your package sits for days, weeks, on end and sometimes never appears. Because this is an ongoing issue I know have a special agent from the inspector generals office doing a formal investigation in hopes of cleaning this facility up. It is unacceptable and not any type of service people pay for. If I wanted to give stuff I work hard for away for free I would donate it to charity, not the workers at the Bell Gardens Distribution Center.
