Hello i am new to yelp but just had to post a review. I ordered something off eBay and while tracking my package the est delivery date was to be Friday the 29th 2016. I live in Whittier ca,90606 which is 5 minutes away. After waking up this morning to a message from USPS my package is now at the IOS Angeles USPS facility which is completely in the opposite direction from me by far. After looking at all the reviews posted about this faculty in Ball Gardens, I believe this place is a major waste of tax payers dollars. They need to be shut down. If I could give them a negative star rating I would! Very unprofessional staff, no way to pick up item, no way to speak to anyone there. read more

My package was never updated and just left me with in-transit and never once gave me a new expectancy date . This great sorting office routed my package, addressed to Tustin, CA to Springfield, MA after it was supposed to have been delivered. Can't anyone at this location read an address??? Bell Gardens, CA isn't even a hour away from Tustin.......It had made it all the way from Melrose Park, IL to Fontana, CA (about an hour from Tustin) they sent it to Bell Gardens, CA. I sent two package for my grandson's 1st Christmas to South Pasadena, CA. Both packages arrived at the Bell Garden's post office, no problems, and I tracked them both there. Mysteriously, one package was not delivered. I tried phoning the post office which simply rang until someone picked it up and hung up. I did that one day for six hours and either it went unanswered and cut off, or someone picked up and hung up. This package was important to me. Yesterday, on the 27th of December ,I receive the mailing label I had used on the package, the postage label from Belcamp Maryland, the tracking label and my return label all perfectly in tact - looking as though they were cut from the box surgically with a box cutter. I received a PS Form 3760 to fill out and ship to a sorting center in Atlanta. My box contained $450 worth of merchandise, one of them being an American Express Gift Card for $100. I phone AMEX and they were able to tell me that the card had been activated and utilized! Apparently, my Christmas package (which was packed in a very sturdy box and labeled properly sealed with tons of tape, made a great Christmas present for someone other than my 1 year old grandson. The package itself was delivered to Bell Gardens. Bell Gardens sent back the precisely cut labels (including a piece of the box that I had used to mail the package) - so I know they had the box. I FINALLY received my Christmas present yesterday that had been stuck in Bell Gardens for weeks.(YAY!!!) Sadly the box arrived crushed and had been ripped open and re-taped and the contents of the box were damaged/missing. My sister sent tons of various quilt squares, a fabric cutting mat, thread, a fabric stick cutter, candles, and other small goodies she thought I'd like. What I received was 3 oil stained fabric remnants that are filthy and unuasable and 5lbs of costco unsalted nuts +__+ ANYONE LOSE THEIR NUTS AT BELL GARDENS??? Because, I have them!!!! Some how my package along with other must have been smashed and USPS just shoved whatever they felt like back in the boxes taped them up and sent them on their way. After all the 'research' I've done on this facility, I can't say that I didn't panic when I realized all ten of my packages were at Bell Gardens! Thank goodness they got to their destinations eventually. I did not get any complaints about damaged packages (so far. . .) from customers, that's all good. The reason for the neutral review is because of the slow movement at this facility. About 5 of my packages sat here for 4 or more days, prone to stealing and whatnot. I would give a 0 rating if possible. Hmmm, could there be something shady going on at this facility?? Why isn't anyone checking up on the packages that have gone missing from this place? I have had a 42-inch boogie board stuck at this distribution center since July 25th, 2020. It's not even an hour away from me. It came from Florida quickly and ended up here for weeks now. To say I am beyond pissed right now is an understatement! I sold something on ebay that left my little post office in Burney on 2/26, headed to New Jersey. It went thru Sacramento and last update i have is in L.A. - three days in a row says it is headed to next destination. This place was horrible, not only did I wait half an hour for a small package but they said they won't be giving me my mail anymore because of "animal interference" when there are two entry ways into the lot where I live, in top of that it's not even our own animals just some random animal why not just call the pound to take it? Nobody in this area has been receiving their mail and I have electronics coming in the next day and they refuse to give them to me. I have a package I sent to my son in Long Beach, CA by 2-Day Priority from Chicago, IL. The package left Chicago the same day and arrived in Bell Gardens, CA USPS Sorting facility and it has been sitting there for over two weeks. So I file a complaint on line and it take one week to get an answer. They tell me they found the package where I already knew it was but they closed the complaint without telling me when it would arrive to my son. read more

There needs to be an option for no stars. The distribution center in Bell Gardens is the worst facility on the planet. Everytime my packages are sorted there they either are lost or stolen. I had a first class package sent 90 miles from Santa Barbra, Ca and it has sat in Bell Gardens for 4 days already. Tracking showed it departed the distribution center in Bell Gardens 3 different times on August 3, 2018, however it never reached by local post office 19 miles away, and now just continually says in transit with no scheduled delivery date. Getting assistence is an exercise in futility, they simply dont care that your package sits for days, weeks, on end and sometimes never appears. Because this is an ongoing issue I know have a special agent from the inspector generals office doing a formal investigation in hopes of cleaning this facility up. It is unacceptable and not any type of service people pay for. If I wanted to give stuff I work hard for away for free I would donate it to charity, not the workers at the Bell Gardens Distribution Center. I mailed a box standard mail from AZ to PA the tracking shows it arived in Bell Gardens origin facility on 12/12/14. Nothing else has been updated since. Arrival date says 12/17/14 and it also says in transit. Shouldnt it show it departed the Bell Garden origin facility if it is in transit? I called and was told it is probably delayed due to a high colume of packages being shipped this time of year. I want to know why does it not show it has ever departed?? My package has been stuck here since May 1st, and it was supposed to get to Florida May 7th, it is now May 18th and it still says its there. I called them several times only to get a busy tone, and when they did answer finally, they answered very rudely and hung up the phone on me. Also checked on an incoming package from a separate transaction and it says my package is at the same post office, I'm not expecting to see that anytime soon, if not ever. I do not understand how this place keep on losing (stealing) peoples items and our government is doing nothing about this big issue. Hi i mailed a package that went through this post office. the package sat in bell gardens for 5 days then instead of shipping it to where it was going which was 45 minutes away, they shipped it to another state. after that state processed it, they then shipped it back to bell gardens. this is ridiculous, so far the package is taking 2 weeks. i called usps and filed an investigation and complaint with the santa ana consumer affairs, well see if anyone that can do anything will think that something is wrong here. smh i was just informed that another one of my packages that seemed to be in the abyss for 9 days has been sitting at bell gardens... i feel sick read more

My priority package has now been in Bell Gardens Post Office for 19 days. I have called USPS and Postal Consumer Affairs but have heard nothing back. This same thing happened a month or two ago and the package finally arrived 4 weeks after it was mailed because if was caught in the Black Hole of the Bell Garden Post Office. After seeing so many poor reviews and complaints I don't understand why someone doesn't inspect this Postal Office and see what is going on. I sent my package on the 13th from Torrance California to be sure to make it to West Islip in time for xmas! My package was sent to Bell gardens that same day. After that, there was no update after it arrived at Bell gardens for a few days then it said in transit to destination but didn't have a facility. I called customer service....waited on hold for an hour! They gave me the same answer that I already knew...the box was in transit but to no specific location AKA it was still at Bell and getting tampered with. My sister sent a package to the same address in New York after I sent mine and the recipient already had gotten her package. She sent hers through Long Beach. Long story short, 17 days later my friend received our package but it was sliced open on the side of the box and re-taped. I had a few xmas gifts wrapped for her children, which surprisingly were all there and still wrapped. Bell gardens must have known it was clothes and a hat and knew the value wasn't much so they decided to ship it after all. This is a shady post office and rude people who answer the phone. I am so mad but grateful my package arrived. Pretty sad to worry if a package you paid a lot of money to ship would ever get to the destination. Dishonest people in the world!!!
