It seemed the customer came in already upset and looking for someone to take it out on. She was loud, disrespectful, and completely out of line. One thing I don't think people realize is how much postal clerks deal with every day. They help hundreds of customers, often under stressful conditions, and rarely receive any recognition for their patience and professionalism. The kind and hardworking clerks who show up every day and treat customers with respect deserve far more appreciation than they receive. People, let's do better. Their digital system is updated regularly. I come here multiple times a week as I am a drop shipper. I am grateful to see kind helpful staff each day. They are doing their best work. Please be patient and make sure you have everything you need by the time you are called in line so that you don't have to go back in line. All USPS are understaffed. That is the reality of our employment situation today. Just get in line and wait your turn. If the line is too long, come back when it's not. Or you can use the digital service in the lobby, which is very easy to use and you can do much more than you think.

We waited patiently with my baby for 30 minutes. Asked them again and apparently the passport lady called in sick and didn't show up! Both times I went in, the service was shockingly rude and unprofessional. It's clear the employees here have no interest in helping anyone. Even when I spoke kindly and respectfully, I was met with complete attitude and zero effort. The overall energy is just off the staff act like they don't want to be there I even overheard one staff member saying "I wouldn't be here if they weren't paying me", and they do the bare minimum. The building itself doesn't help either it's dark, dirty, and honestly feels neglected. Whoever took these photos they're completely outdated and misleading. Both visits, I was simply trying to return a small Amazon package (a foundation, nothing complicated). I don't have a printer or tape at home, so I politely asked for help, and was flat-out denied. I left, went out of my way to print the label elsewhere, and came back another day. A different employee helped me slightly, but still told me I had to buy tape and tape the box myself, then immediately started helping the next person mid-conversation. I left frustrated and unwelcome. For something as simple as a return, the process was painfully difficult. I didn't even get a receipt and wasn't sure if that was normal. It's unfortunate because the location is convenient, but the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy ruins it. I'll be driving farther out from now on for better service. Hopefully management sees this and does something about it this is easily the worst USPS experience I've had anywhere.

It was close to my hotel (the Hampton Inn & Suites on Lavaca) and was just a short walk over. For a few days, I would trek to the one on Congress, but this ended up being much easier for me get to for simple mailings. It's a small post office, but does the job. If you are staying at the Hampton, this is the closer one if you are on foot.
