They do not follow their own contract when it comes to raising rates. They are required to give written notice in very specific ways, which they do not do. Over the past 14 months that I have had a space, they have tried to raise the rent (4x the original regular price!) every few months without the proper notice. Each time I caught it, called them on it, and they returned my rate to what it was supposed to be. Until this last time - they refused to follow their own contract, and now we'll see how it goes with my small claims court case! (The contract prohibits a class action lawsuit...because in the past the have settled those.) I have watched their Google rating go from about the same as Yelp to 5 stars. Why? Because they ask every single person to give them a Google review - they even have signs up in the office about it. And if I had given a review in the first few months, it would have been a 5 - the place IS clean, the security IS good, and in those early months before they start jacking up the rates, the pricing feels good also. When reading reviews for this place, or any storage facility, I recommend looking at how long the person has been a customer before they make the review. If they don't mention being a customer for a while, ignore that opinion...it will likely change with time, and they may or may not make it back to update their review. read more

They up charge the rent every couple months, they have locked me out of my storage after paying my late fee on the 3rd. After paying in store they "forgot" unlock my unit for three days. I want to like this place but they are sneaky and negligent. And often when the contract states you have until the 3rd to pay before late fees they will tack them on at midnight the 1st. This has taken me over a year to write because it's been so traumatizing, I needed to put some stuff in a storage unit from my mother's house and thought I'd try this one. When I went into the office, the clerk, I believe her name was Amber, shuffled over to me. I expressed that I wanted to rent a storage unit. I was not prepared for what happened next. Amber said I smelled like plastic and she doesn't serve druggies. Her face was red. This was really astounding because I have never done drugs in my life. I'm an accomplished professional, with my life together. So this came entirely out of the blue. I'm not sure if she mistook me for someone else but nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I was so shocked at the absurdity of it, that I just said "thank you" and wandered out. Needless to say, I didn't store my things there. I'm not sure if she was the one influenced by some kind of substance, but she was angry and out of control and it seemed like she needed a lot of help. I'm surprised that an established business could hire someone like that. I would recommend to all prospective customers NOT to come here. In fact, if I could give this place a negative star, I would. Management is the opposite of helpful to the point it feels personal. --Enjoy being treated like a drug addict if you request to use the bathroom. --Enjoy staff looming over your shoulder whenever you're at your unit. --Enjoy a constantly rising rate. --Heaven help you if you discover being overcharged after receiving your bank statement.... billing errors from last month=sucks for you - period. --Enjoy the automated system not working to pay your bill=late charges. period. --Your locks are changed after the 5th. after paying you'll have to hunt down management to regain access. --Be aware management will NEVER be happy to see you or be of assistance-so don't expect prompt help with that lockout. read more

The 'Amber S' reviewer below is literally the terrible person who works here. The only other good review is probably fake as well. This place raised rent like 50% a couple months in. They also added a fee for an erroneous "late charge" and "bank refund." When I sent bank proof that those charges were bogus (6 times!) they ignored my messages and added MORE fees. It was unreal, and when I protested, they actually cut off access to my unit. I'm in the process of suing them. The documents they've shared are so inaccurate as to be scary, because they so easily lie, but they're also scary because they're clearly so incompetent. It's an evil place. Don't go. read more

WARNING: Valuable items stolen and the "insurance" offered by US storage has so far failed to offer any kind of reimbursement. Storage is a simple business, the customer needs a clean and accessible unit that is safe from theft. In 2021 the 4 most valuable items from my unit were taken, and nothing else was missing. All it would take to resolve the situation is for the insurance that I paid for to reimburse me. There is a police report and a theft report on file with US Storage center but they are giving us the silent treatment. Besides the theft, this storage location is acceptable. I will be willing to change my review to a positive review if the theft insurance finally comes through. read more

This storage place is getting worse and worse. They don't repair broken things in the facility. Elevator has been out of service for weeks and now you can't even get inside the building because the main gate key pad is broke . The employees who work here are incredibly rude, unhelpful and condescending. The service they offer is incredibly overpriced. I want to emphasize how rude and unaccommodating the staff is. I would give zero stars if possible. I'm highly dissatisfied and disappointed with their service. The man working was so focused on going home he couldn't care less to help me find my locker. I had my service animal with proper identification with me and he very rudely said no dogs allowed, even tho i have been there before with the same animal. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYone. No way. Customer service is everything, and I've worked in stressful customer service related jobs and I never ever treat someone paying to use a service that I provide essentially like garbage. Initially had a good impression of this place but unfortunately over the past year all I have seen is a reduction of service and hours, an increase of rates, nonsensical additions to the terms of service, and regularly being unable to access my storage unit. Within the past month I have lost the elevator access to get to my unit twice which means that I cannot get back to my unit until the next day when someone is in office and can add back elevator access. Today I showed up and the gate was out of order with no one in the office to allow me in. If I didn't live so close to this place and it wasn't such a pain to move to another storage facility, I would not think twice about leaving this place. read more

Customer service and property management is not easy for a single person, but even to my very accepting standards, one staff member is one of the most rude, unprofessional, self absorbed employee I have ever encountered. Honestly, I worked in various areas of the service industry for 15 years, and I know jobs can be overwhelming due to management disorganization, high customer volume, and sometimes just having an honest rough week. I wouldn't normally post a negative review without knowing all the facts. But the man I have now encountered 3 separate times while storing and moving my personal effects, had zero regard for anything but himself. The first time I met him, I was organizing my unit, 1131, and it was early in the morning and I think I was the only customer on the property. He was sweeping the hallways, and straight up said, "can you move your stuff" and stood and stared at me. I was so shocked that he asked a customer to get out of his way, since my needs as a paying customer were secondary to sweeping. I was lit sure if he was serious. I said sure, let me move these large boxes so you don't have to sweep this area in like ten minutes. He did not Acknowledge or was not aware of the sarcasm. Another time, I advised him I was closing out my unit, and right before I completed it, he said I'm going to lunch so do you want to return your cart now or in an hour. He then proceeded to explain the federal laws on why he has to take a lunch with increasing frustration clear in his voice. I can understand needing to take a lunch, but he never even through out a "sorry for the inconvenience" or "how can we work this out together?" I said I needed to finish packing my car so I guess I'll keep the cart. But I did advise him that was a 5 star attitude, again, the sarcasm was extremely obvious. As customers continued to pull up, I advised them all in a row that this dude just left and were all waiting on him. I attempted to organize a revolution among the working peoples, and use one of the broken windows in the front to seize the computers and printing mechanisms. When he returned, many annoyed customers were lined up, and he again, did not acknowledge the inconvenience. Not sure if this one is on management or not, they could post actual office operating hours if they only have one staff member. Anyways I regret giving them any money due to his complete lack of concern for anything outside of himself. The storage is secure though. Would use if the blonde girl who opened the storage unit for me was there. read more
