We're here moving out right now. We already spoke to a manager about this before coming in to move. Upon arrival I went into the office so that I could show the manager the damages. She refused to even get up to look or to offer any sympathy for our trouble. I asked her name and stated my intention to file a complaint. This total psycho followed me out of the office and got up in my personal space, so I waved at her to show her- "hey, you're too close, you're in my personal space now" and she proceeded to scream at me AND my father, told me she would beat me up, proceeded to back me into a corner (this went on for several minutes) and told me "I get off at 5, let's settle this then" all directly under the camera. Yeah... I don't want to fight you, you psycho, I just want you to get up off your lazy butt and do your freaking job. This was totally uncalled for and inappropriate, not to mention illegal. We are waiting for the police now.

We know the thief/thieves used our orange Gorilla cart during the theft because we found it outside our storage unit, by the building's entrance door. The theft should be easy to identify on security footage given the presence of a BRIGHT ORANGE cart and knowledge of the general timeframe when the theft occurred. At this point it's unclear to us if there even are working security cameras at this location. The lack of empathy and responsiveness has made this miserable experience even worse. To summarize: YOUR BELONGINGS ARE NOT SAFE HERE! Also, the encampment outside the gates is disheartening and a security threat. The empty locker across the hall from ours was opened and someone tore open the wall inside to an adjoining filled locker and got some of their stuff out too! Our first three months was at a rate of $97, then was going to jump to the high $160's. I negotiated down to $145, which is still a 50% increase. Anyone else's incomes going up 50%? Time to move our stuff to a new place.

What a wild, terrible tale of dodged accountability, crime, and incompetence!…read moreIn 2023, I rented a space to store my car trailer with Public Storage. The price was good- it was a Memorial Day special, and was about 40% less than other locations. At the time, I asked the staff at the location if the rate was likely to go up. They said it was not likely to go up for at least a year, since the annual increases had already happened. So I stored my trailer there and put several locks on it. A wheel lock, a hitch lock, and also a location tracker. Three months later, to my surprise, the price went up significantly to just above the price of nearby locations. Due to the hassle, I didn't move. I certainly should have. So much regret.... On January 6th of this year I got a call from the staff at Public Storage. Had I removed my car trailer? No, I replied. I hadn't. Why? It turns out, they had a very bad feeling about my missing trailer. According to the staff member, just before the holidays, an individual had come in and rented the smallest unit available. They took and verified their ID and took payment. Early the morning of Jan 1st, video showed the individual entering the complex with their PIN, and then leaving with my trailer. Sure enough, the location tracker showed a location other than Public Storage. Unfortunately, because they had taken 5 days to notice the crime, the location corresponded to the tracker in a dumpster. The staff at Public Storage explained that they were not in a position to make a police report, but that while I had to make the police report, they would not give me any of the information they had about the individual that had given them ID and had been seen leaving with the trailer. All I could fill out was a generic police report with as many specifics as I had, and many months later I haven't been contacted by the police. Even my insurance company can not get any information from Public Storage. Since the trailer had been stolen early January 1st, I asked Public Storage to refund me for the month of January. While they wouldn't help with anything else or reimburse me any further, they did agree to finalize the account with a 0-dollar balance. Not surprising, I now have "Cedar Business Services", a Las Vegas collections company, hounding my e-mail, phone, and mail for the rent for that January. Like any terrible collections company, they won't believe me that the balance is zero. Calling Public Storage, I found out that they never did refund the account. I also asked them to remove the collections. Their response? "We can't do anything about that other than show that the account is paid." What CAN the staff at Public Storage do? What are they ACTUALLY capable of? The only thing they seem to be capable of is raising the prices long before they said they would. Now I have a missing trailer and have to pay a lawyer to fix the collections issue. Conclusion?: You are going to spend less time and less money storing your things in a vacant field.

Over the past 14 months that I have had a space, they have tried to raise the rent (4x the original regular price!) every few months without the proper notice. Each time I caught it, called them on it, and they returned my rate to what it was supposed to be. Until this last time - they refused to follow their own contract, and now we'll see how it goes with my small claims court case! (The contract prohibits a class action lawsuit...because in the past the have settled those.) I have watched their Google rating go from about the same as Yelp to 5 stars. Why? Because they ask every single person to give them a Google review - they even have signs up in the office about it. And if I had given a review in the first few months, it would have been a 5 - the place IS clean, the security IS good, and in those early months before they start jacking up the rates, the pricing feels good also. When reading reviews for this place, or any storage facility, I recommend looking at how long the person has been a customer before they make the review. If they don't mention being a customer for a while, ignore that opinion...it will likely change with time, and they may or may not make it back to update their review.

When I went into the office, the clerk, I believe her name was Amber, shuffled over to me. I expressed that I wanted to rent a storage unit. I was not prepared for what happened next. Amber said I smelled like plastic and she doesn't serve druggies. Her face was red. This was really astounding because I have never done drugs in my life. I'm an accomplished professional, with my life together. So this came entirely out of the blue. I'm not sure if she mistook me for someone else but nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I was so shocked at the absurdity of it, that I just said "thank you" and wandered out. Needless to say, I didn't store my things there. I'm not sure if she was the one influenced by some kind of substance, but she was angry and out of control and it seemed like she needed a lot of help. I'm surprised that an established business could hire someone like that. I would recommend to all prospective customers NOT to come here. In fact, if I could give this place a negative star, I would. Find any other place, because anything will be better than this.
