I used this site starting in February 2014 for a massive collection of books, toys, dolls, comics,…read moreand a lot of household goods that I had to move when I moved to a different apartment. My items remained in storage safely for the ensuing 12 years. At one point, someone cut the lock with a torch and broke into my unit, but apparently by mistake. They realized their error and fled without taking anything, but the operators of the site contacted me immediately, repaired the lock, and they replaced my lock without charge. They have secure, clean, and friendly service, including contacting me to warn me when I was in danger of getting a late charge. While the building I was in, was not thermally stabilized, they do have air conditioned buildings, and the space was large enough to minimize the worst kinds of thermal issues. There were no signs of pests, bugs, rodents, mold, or any other hazard to my stored stuff. So since they're such an excellent place for storage, why would I leave? Initially I was paying a very good rate, but over time the price for their largest-size unit increased slowly to the point that after my income became fixed, I could no longer afford it. They are not the cheapest place for storage, but they are accessible, they have security cameras and are alert to intrusion, and they're worth what they charge. I did investigate options. While I could have gotten a cheaper price elsewhere at a promotional rate, it would have gone up to the same level in six months and I would have had to hire movers, which would have erased the savings. I'm not sure why this category of business does that, since it would seem like it would be cheaper to hold onto tenants instead of having empty units, but I suspect that the fixed space available means demand is greater than supply, and profits are better keeping slightly ahead of inflation. Apparently the "box storage" systems are generally better about long term rates, than the fixed-site, systems, but again, fixed income. Your experience may be better or worse, depending on your needs, and if you need to be able to casually access your stored items, this is a good place for it.

They will not keep the water and outside debris from getting inside. I had damaged boxes that got wet. The unit always has leaves dirt and Pineneedles blown in from the outside underneath the door. Also as you can see from the pictures the units are not private. Someone can easily fit through the top and reach over to steal things and a small person could easily fit through that gap at rob you blind and you would have no idea. These units are not safe and do not protect your items from the outside elements.
