When I signed up for…read morea 10x10 storage unit, I didn't hear them say that it was a promotional rate for four months (my fault for not asking about the future rent increases). They did tell me that IF the rent was raised, I could negotiate for a lower rate. Alas, when the four months expired, the rent went from 155 to 255 per month (which included modest insurance). They were willing to drop it to 225 (including insurance), but that is still exorbitant! I will say the unit is clean and dry at Extra Space Storage--unlike the last place I rented that had rats and moisture. But I'm now moving to an equally clean storage facility in Tualatin, Oregon and the rent is 140 dollars per month (not including insurance). This mistake I made with Extra Space Storage cost me 500 dollars for movers to transfer my tools from one storage unit to another. Adios to Extra Space Storage!

We've had a storage unit at this location since August 2015. We started out with a small inside…read moreunit, mainly storing holiday decorations (yes, we have a lot of decorations). In June 2019, we moved up to a larger outdoor unit when my Mother in Law passed away and we had to store of few of her items until my husband could decide what to do with them (he's still deciding). Karen and her staff were very helpful getting us set up the first time and when we moved everything from one unit to the other, everything went quickly and smoothly. The entire facility and grounds are very clean and well-kept. We often see Karen tooling around in her little 4-wheeled buggy keeping an eye on things. She always waves and says hello. Rules are strictly enforced inside and outside the units too. Prices are fair and reasonable when compared to other storage places. And we've always felt our stuff was safe and secure. The only drawback to having an inside unit from an outside unit is that the inside units are climate controlled and I don't think we found one bug or spider (or rodents) in the four years our stuff was stored. Often times it was hard to find the complimentary flatbed cart (used for transporting things from your vehicle to your unit) because there isn't a designated spot for it to be stored. We'd sometimes have to search throughout the whole building for it. The outside units are easier to pull right up to and unload but they are more exposed to the sun, wind and rain and we've had an issue with dirt and spiders. But that's nobody's fault. None of our stuff has been damaged however and we keep a broom in the unit to clean the cement floor. Sometimes we've taken our leaf blower over to clean out the entire inside. You just adapt. I love that I can pay online and take care of business from home. Although going into the office to speak with Karen is a pleasure. She always has a big bowl of candy on the counter too. All in all, we've been very happy with our experience these past 6 years with NW Self storage.

We just moved out on Saturday, as we bought a house & were ready to get our belongings. As we were loading things into the moving truck, we found mouse droppings on many of our things. They burrowed into a sealed bag with blankets & chewed up the blankets. They left droppings all over boxes, lumber, everything. We had to throw some things away & we will probably have to throw more away as we sort through boxes. We were spending over $200/month on this space. It is unacceptable to spend that kind of money & have your belongings invaded by mice!! I have had storage units before & never experienced this. I am attaching photos to warn other potential renters! The owners of this property need to fill in any open space where mice can get in. I do not recommend this storage facility based on our experience.

We provided a complete inventory of our home and were quoted for one truck. Your team spent an entire day packing our home and never once mentioned there was a capacity issue. It wasn't until the very end of moving day, after everything had already been packed and loaded and we had no meaningful opportunity to make another decision, that we were told we needed to pay for a second truck. As a result, it ultimately required two trucks to remove our belongings from storage, effectively doubling the cost we had been led to expect. Unfortunately, the handling of our belongings was even more concerning. During move-out from All Service Moving's warehouse, numerous damaged items were identified and photographed. We also documented furniture stored directly against other furniture with little or no protection, exposed boxes, and delicate items packed and stored in ways that unnecessarily increased the risk of damage. As we continued unpacking, we found additional examples of improper packing, despite paying All Service Moving to professionally pack our home. Wardrobe boxes were not used for hanging clothing--the hanging bars were never used, and clothing and shoes were piled throughout the boxes. Delicate lamp shades were packed with dirty outdoor items. Clothing was packed alongside a floor cleaner and a greasy kitchen rack. Fragile decorative branches were packed without protection and arrived broken. These were not isolated mistakes. They reflected a consistent pattern in how our belongings were packed, stored, and handled. Despite photographs documenting both the damage and the way our belongings were packed and stored while in All Service Moving's warehouse, the company has never taken responsibility. We spent months trying to resolve this privately before writing this review. During that time, we repeatedly provided documentation, waited through postponed discussions, and requested the documents supporting the company's position. Those documents were never produced, and All Service Moving never took responsibility for the damage. Moving is one of the largest expenses and most stressful experiences many people will go through. When you hire a moving company, you're trusting them with everything you own. We expected our belongings to be handled with care and, if something went wrong, for the company to stand behind its work. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with All Service Moving.

Ditto the mattress covers we purchased from them, which were more than 50% cheaper at u-haul. Bottom line: there's no such thing as "1$ for your first month." However, in spite of the lack of honesty in advertising the customer service at this franchise still made it worthwhile. .

They were always friendly and courteous and I knew I could rely on either one of them to answer any questions I had right away. The facility is clean, modern, extremely secure and all of the inside units I had were climate controlled which was very important to me since I was storing 40 thousand rare LPs and expensive Mid Century modern furniture (Eames/Knoll/Milo Baughman/Platner/Saarinen etc..). I looked around at other facilities and knew right away that this was where I wanted to store all of my belongings while selling a house in Portland and planning a move to California. Honestly the staff here really is the cherry on top and they work very hard to make everything run smoothly and efficiently including Uhaul rentals! I was told no, and payment was due in full. I explained my situation. Communication was very poor on their par. I have not had emails or phone calls returned. Currently I owe over $1000 in late rent and late fees. They placed a lien fee Sept 1st for $85, lock out, inventory, and photo fee of $40, and an advertisement fee of $35. I explained I am a single mom and my son and I are living out of my car after fleeing DV. Lastly 3 different times I was unable to access my unit because the elevator was not functioning for several days.
