From Drew's responsiveness to Michael and Francisco's ruthless efficiency, warm and engaging demeanors, and total professionalism, it's been an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE working with these guys, which I've now done three times in less than two years. Michael and Francisco have been my movers the last two times and they've made it a stress-free, and even fun process. Watching them play Tetris today fitting a 3 bedroom home's worth of items into a 15 foot POD was seeing a masterclass in technique - they were so efficient that they actually left four feet of space in the POD, which we can now use to throw in more belongings! We had Willamette Valley Moving employee's Edgar, Erik and Brian move some difficult furniture and belongings out of a basement apartment with narrow stairways to a house and storage unit. These three individuals worked non-stop barely taking breaks to make sure nothing was damaged or mishandled. I have not had a great deal of success with Movers at least until today . Two very nice gentlemen came on time and we're taking steps to minimize tracking anything in . They were very quick and make sure all my items were protected with coverings . Ah yes, moving time once again! I inquired a good 30 days prior to my apartment move out date, and was helped by Jacob. I didn't feel any pressure by him, other than deciding on a Saturday morning or afternoon move time. A Sunday move was out of the question. But between a morning or noon start time, and due to an apartment loading dock issue, I had to request the crew show up at noon. They seem to wanna start the job early in the morning, but luckily my noon time move was acceptable. All set, although I was confused with only a "verbal" confirmation about the date and crew that will be there. Not a huge issue, as I did call again a week prior to, just to confirm we were scheduled. Most moving companies that I've dealt with will usually assess the amount of stuff I have, and then give me an estimate. But I was never asked about my stuff. They seem to have a set pricing which seems like a market price, and fine by me. They were a bit cheaper than the other estimates I received. $192/per hr, three men, one truck, and drive time cost. In which I was less than seven miles away from the new place. And I emailed them (to lessen the shock) a list of items to be aware of; Number of heavy boxes with books, what beds needed to be wrapped, and what furniture required extra protection. They did provide shrink wrap, blankets, and packaging tape, but majority of my things were already packed and ready to go. Moved day was with Juan, Jose, and Fernando: ~ They arrived 15 minutes early (11:45am), two thumbs up! Nice guys! Hard workers too! ~ They protected my furniture, loaded all my heavy boxes, and cleaned up a bit after. ~ Arrived at my new home, and they placed the red protective runners for the stairs and hallway. Excellent! ~ Move complete at 3:15pm. Not bad at all. ~ Although, what I thought would be a $600-800 move ended up being $900+ including tip. Overall, would I use these guys again? Hands down, YES! Why? Not necessarily because of price, but because they didn't damage anything. Not even a wall scratch. read more

For our move of a bunch of furniture and boxes to a vacation home on the coast, these guys were awesome. Communication was great. Quote and rates were respectable. Bernie and Jose were on time and didn't waste a minute getting to the job. They were respectful of our floors and materials. The took care to wrap fragile furniture (we had several antiques). When we got to the coast, they were just as fast unloading. Even though we had them place most of the stuff in center of the room or garage, they volunteered "are you sure you don't want us to help put some things in place for you?" We were also fortunate to have the, just a few days before Christmas as they sung Feliz Navidad while they worked. Would definitely use them again and recommend. read more

The movers did a stellar job. They were on time and ready to go. The scheduling folks recommended I use three movers instead of two (because of the apartment building having an elevator) and I'm glad they made the suggestion. The movers were professional, extremely understanding when my old building messed up the preparation for their arrival, and were extremely careful with my things. The only issue was that they didn't bring moving supplies to purchase even though I'd requested it. I'm not going to deduct a star bc it was clearly a communication error between the schedulers and the actual movers, but I would make sure to tell them very clearly you will need boxes and supplies for your move. The prices were reasonable for supplies, but they didn't bring any extra boxes to actually use (except a couple of ones for the odd items lying around that needed to be boxed. I was just lucky I had bought a bunch of boxes beforehand because I didn't want to wait to pack, but if I'd depended on the people who scheduled my move to send boxes, it would've been a disaster. The movers, Roman, Cesar, and Max, were super friendly and efficient. I really appreciate their help and they were too great not to give 5 stars to. Thank you guys! read more

I had a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. When I called, it was a human who picked up the phone, and rather quickly too! It's a huge plus these days to be able to speak to a human directly. He was respectful, professional, to the point, everything was arranged in one short phone call. Their price, for what they can cover, is the best among everyone I had contacted. On the day of the move, they came on time, moved fast, everyone was extremely professional and careful. Everything went smoothly. Payment could be made by credit card or by cash. Moving can be such a stressful experience, but they make it smooth and easy. These guys worked hard. Two friendly, affable guys loaded our entire house up, packing tightly and carefully, the day before our move five hours south. We agreed that having three for the drive, unload and return day was a fair addition. They met me at our new address at the time we'd agreed, set about unloading, and didn't waste any time. In fact, I had to stop them to take a break to eat the sliced fresh fruit I'd prepared to get them over the hump. I actually had another moving company (referred by our realtor) scheduled for Wednesday for my son's move in Portland, OR; but his worked scheduled changed where he had to now move on Tuesday instead (a day earlier) & that moving company was already booked for that day. So I looked through Yelp (and this was Monday) and called WVM based on their 5 star rating and over 200+ reviews. They had a Tuesday morning slot available (2 hour minimum), so I scheduled it for a 9am to 11am slot. Per my son, WVM were great. They sent over two guys (Drew & John) who did an awesome job moving his stuffs. They even took apart his bed frame and put it back together at the new place. It was the Yelp reviews that made us pick this company. And they have zero complaints with the BBB over the last three years. Per all the other positive reviews, our move also went well. They typically don't come to your home for a walk-through estimate like other long-distance moving companies. Rather, they give you an over-the-phone estimate. Moving our 2-bedroom house from Beaverton to Grants Pass came to final total of $3,000 (includes a small amount of extra insurance, I think about $80). One truck and three guys. Our three movers were Victor, Antonia and Miguel (see photo). Took them about 2hrs and 15min to load and about the same to unload. Note, we boxed everything up ourselves. All they had to do was load furniture and boxes for the most part. They loaded up in Beaverton the 1st day, unloaded in Grants Pass the next day. Nothing was broken. We packed everything very carefully ourselves in advance. They were always professional and wrapped up all the furniture with blankets and stretch-wrap. read more

We had a great experience with Willamette Valley Moving. I started off by shopping around for quotes and I noticed several companies quoted me with 1 truck and several quoted with 2 trucks. When I asked about why so I could compare apples to apples, Willamette Valley was the only company that really took the time to explain why 2 trucks made more sense. Given their willingness to do that, being priced similarly to others and having exceptional reviews I went with them. The guys in the office had great communication. I asked several questions before our move and every time they responded same day. They called me the day before to confirm the move as well. Reliability and communication is very important to me so I really appreciated that. We have a challenging move due to stairs and a steep driveway but the movers had a great attitude and worked hard. Carlos was our lead mover and he was great as were all the guys in the crew. Honestly the move took longer than I thought so it cost more but I attribute that to the driveway and stairs because the guys were working very hard the whole time. Also they were extremely careful with our stuff, wrapped everything up above and beyond what would be expected and asked a ton of questions to make sure they were setting everything in the right place and it was all how we wanted it. Some of the stuff we asked them to move around once it was all set up and they were more than willing to do it with a positive attitude.
