Moving is always stressful but Silicon Valley Luxury moving has made us feel more at ease!  Our move was scheduled at 2 pm and we received a call from S around 1pm to keep us informed about their schedule.  They arrived around 2:30 pm for the move.  We were moving from our two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom condo (two floors).  Since we had a lot of stuff, we requested for three movers and Sergey, Yana, and Andrew showed up. After quickly surveying the apartment, they immediately started the process. They were very careful in wrapping up things, taking apart furniture, and placing items into the cart. Prior to the move, we asked them about disposing unwanted furniture and they do provide the service with a fee. Originally they were going to charge us for disposing a bookshelf and a futon sofa for a small fee.  But after inspecting the condition, they decided to take them for donation for us free of charge.  Even though items were for donation, they also wrapped them for moving and I thought that's very thoughtful.  We requested 8 wardrobe boxes for our clothes since that's how many we used in the previous move to hang clothes on our own. Yana actually packed up all our clothes in three wardrobe/big boxes.  Although the clothes were not hanging, they were very nicely packed in order in boxes and it's really easy for us to take out for hanging in our new place. In the beginning, I was also a bit worried about their truck size and if all our things might not fit for one trip. But they were very smart in utilizing every space in their truck.  After they loaded everything (including their tools & equipment), everything fitted up to the last inch of their truck. When we got to our new place, they rolled out the floor mat to move things into the first floor since it's a wooden floor (to prevent scratches). And they placed plastic covers for carpeted stair in order to move things upstairs.  They placed items at locations you directed and nothing was broken or damaged.  The whole move took almost 8 hrs (including 40 minute drive) but they were constantly working during this time period and only took a short break for 10 minute.  They were quiet, professional, careful, and hard working. The whole move took long than we expected - we probably didn't realize how much stuff we had.  But we were less concerned about the time when movers took great care of our items.  We were happy with their service and will hire them again for our next move! I am still feeling the after-glow of how amazing Yana and Sergey are. We wrapped up the move last night and I tell ya', my move was not the easiest. We had to unload at two locations and then load at another. The first unload was at a place on top of a hill and due to the road, they physically could not get the truck up the hill. That meant they had to trek a pretty far distance up and down a very steep hill (and around curves and stairs) to move my things out. It was pretty grueling but they both had a "no problem" attitude the ENTIRE time!!! They packed up loose items with no problem and worked as quickly as they possibly could. I have worked with a lot of movers and they have by far been the very best. They didn't waste one second, have incredible integrity (stopping the clock for breaks etc.) and were unbelievably fair in how they charged when other companies would (and DO) take advantage. For example, at my new location I needed to get a storage unit at the last minute but the unit I intended to use was too small when we got there so we needed to go to another storage location and Yana did NOT charge for that time spent. She was gracious and understanding and didn't feel right charging me for that time. There were a couple other instances just like that as my move ended up taking two days and I was very moved by their grace. There were a lot of "little" (but big) things they were both happy to do. For example, Yana asked if I wanted to switch the way my new refrigerator opened because I was struggling with the location of it but changing the direction of how it opened made all the difference. She used her tools and did it. This woman is talented!! We also needed to move some things out once they were IN the new location due to space (thinks that went to storage). They had no problem with that. They were very careful with everything and protected the carpets when moving in. Sergey is also wonderful - easy to be with, a VERY hard worker and really helps to calm the stress a move day brings. They made recommendations on a couple decisions I had to make regarding placement of furniture too. I really felt they were on my team and we were in it together as opposed to every other company I've moved with where I felt ripped off and gauged. You CAN trust them! This is a review of my first experience with this company that took place a few months ago (09/06/2016). I was scheduled on a Wednesday at 10AM. Before any moving had been done I was already very pleased with the way they handled their business. Even though I contacted them last minute and needed their services ASAP they were extremely accommodating and found a date/time that worked best for me. My two movers, Sergey and Bogdan, gave me a heads up phone call to let me know they were on the way. They arrived right on time about 15 minutes later. I needed to move out all my belongings in my bedroom and a few pieces of furniture (bedset: queen mattress, bedframe, nightstand, computer desk, dresser) out of the bedroom right next to mine. Both rooms were at the top floor of a 3-story townhouse, and the only way to move my belongings into the truck was through 4 sets of stairs (that were super small, narrow and difficult to work with). They started on the empty room with the furniture first because I actually wasn't even fully done packing my room yet. My boyfriend supervised and said that they carefully wrapped everything and used a lot of bubble wrap and shrink film to make sure everything was very protected. My room was a more complicated because I still had random items and clothing articles scattered around, but Sergey and Bogdan did not mind at all and packed literally EVERYTHING without a single question. I can't imagine how difficult it was for them to get my ridiculously furniture down those stairs (I already get tired just carrying my laundry from the garage). After everything was packed up in their truck, they headed to my new destination. They arrived around the same time I did so I could tell they didn't try to delay their drive time. Sergey and Bogdan immediately began unloading everything into my new apartment. Whenever they did ask me questions, it was about how or where I preferred certain items to go. I was so surprised when they told me they had finished because they worked so fast and quietly. They were very kind and gave me a discount on top of the first discount they had given me already. Overall, their staff were friendly, very professional and polite and they work exceedingly well. In the future I will ONLY use Silicon Valley Luxury Moving for all my moving needs!! read more

I've used them twice now, and both time have literally been a pleasure. Yana and Sergey own the company - this is a family business in the best possible sense of the word. Their only motivation is to give you a great experience. My wife's a particularly big fan of Yana - she owns the company but moves furniture with aplomb, oh and is a Karate champ to boot. I know that last one because we had lovely coffee and chat with them after the job. These guys took the time to get to know us while they moved our whole life from one house to another. I rarely go to the trouble of writing a Yelp review, but for these guys I'd be remiss not to. You don't invite just anyone into your home - for my 3 kids, having these folks in is like having fun visitors. They're everything that's great about Silicon Valley - come here, work hard, succeed. America's still great folks, don't let anyone tell you otherwise! :-) Feels ridiculous to mention this as an afterthought, but super value for money both times. I had a not regular case with my move. I needed to switch from one unit to another one in same complex. Apartments located at opposite sides of buildings ( one even without elevator). Besides all I was called unexpected to my work in the same time spot that my move was scheduled. I discussed about my absence during the move with Yana and she said that it's fine, the main thing is provide access to old and new units, and she will control the moving process. At overall everything was great. Apartment manager opened the units for movers as they moved all my stuff to new one. They placed furniture at the right spots. Only once called me to clarify position of dresser. At the end I paid by the phone with my credit card what was very convenient. When I get back late evening at my new apartment I didn't find any mess or scratches at my furniture. Everything was done nicely. Difficult to find movers which you can trust but those guys from Luxury Moving are such. Highly recommend to all who want to get hassle free service. Thank you Yana and her team! read more

This is a review of my first experience with Silicon Valley Luxury Moving company. We were very happy with the overall experience we had with Silicon Valley Luxury Movers. Setting up the move was easy when we called them on the phone. I was scheduled on a Sunday at 6:30am. Yana gave me heads-up (via text) that they are on the way. They arrived right on time. Their price was reasonable. The movers worked hard and quickly. They charge buy the hour and we never felt like the movers were working slowly in order to run up the bill. They were friendly and professional. The group of Yana, Sergey and Bogdan surpassed my desires of a moving company. They quickly looked at how much belongings I have. They were very careful moving all of my items. Now I know why this business got 5-star rating! I would give them, my movers today a 6-star if I could. Yana and her team have helped us move twice in 2 months since we were consolidating two homes into one. Friendly, efficient and fast! Much recommended! They navigated up and down stairs with ease. Treated our belongings with care. Helped us dismantle and carefully wrap and pack our queen bed frame. Furniture was reassembled at our destination. Provided additional wardrobe boxes on the day for use which made packing closets very easy. They even helped us fix a stuck garage door at our storage unit when it wouldn't close. At one point we had booked our move date but had to change our move date which Yana was more than willing to be accommodating to. We found their prices to be competitive, all charges were clearly explained up front and well worth the service. This small but mighty team moved my husband and I out of our 3 bed 2 bath house (and 2 car garage sized workshop) on really short notice. There is no way we could have gotten out of that place in just 2 days without their professionalism, endurance, and packing skills. (These guys and gal must be really good at Tetris.) We move a lot and we've come to expect that most movers don't really care about your belongings. You never know what team you're gunna get, and it's hard to trust people with your most cherished items. The great thing about SVLM, that they are a small company and the owners are part of the team actually moving the load. They are deeply invested and did a phenomenal job down to the very last detail. Let's face it, no one enjoys the process of moving. And after having a horrible experience about 4 years ago with another moving company, my wife and I were skeptical with the thought of hiring movers again. Thankfully I'm happy to say that Sergey and Yana provided a very professional and friendly experience. They were very careful with all of our property while remaining efficient with our time. I obtained multiple quotes to help move my family out of our condo and into our new home. Yana immediately responded to my proposal request. Her prices were very competitive. Yana, Sergei and Luke worked very hard once the contract was signed. I was amazed to see how they worked as a experienced team when it came to moving a LARGE heavy armoire down a flight of stairs. (See photo) I really appreciate their honesty when a small item was accidently broken. Sergei immediately found me and informed me of that something broke. We needed to move all of our garage items since our garage got finished at our new place so we decided to use this company again. They were professional and able to find me time ASAP (the next morning). They arrived on time and called prior to arriving and pricing is clearly stated before they begin work. I would have to say nothing has changed of my opinion of them. They do fantastic work and fast at what they do. They also take the time to wrap delicate items and ensure that none of our bikes would get scratched during the moving process. I found this moving company in yelp and to tell the truth I chose them just because it was the best deal I found. Significantly cheaper than all the other companies. But it was like a blind date - you never know... So. THEY ARE AWSOME! Accurate in time, very professional in every aspect - from packing and repacking the staff that we packed wrong to fast and smooth loading it all into a truck and unloading carefully in our new house. We decided at pretty much the last minute we needed movers to help us with our move. Sergey and Yana were great! They came over the day before to give us an estimate, which ended up almost exact, that was cheaper than a couple of the other local movers. They moved quickly but carefully (with the help of Bogdan). We screwed up the access time of our storage unit, so they took our stuff home, secured it over night, and met us first thing in the morning WITHOUT CHARGING US EXTRA!!!
