I was thinking the trade off would be having to wait longer for an abatement to get a lower rate. But they got me in sooner than I'd thought. The work they did was stellar- clean, efficient, professional in every way. Greg was really responsive and communicative and really went the extra mile to help me understand what was going on and how to mitigate the situation. He was also helpful to my contractor in assessing how to address other aspects of the renovation project. Ultimately, they came in UNDER budget, took less time to complete the work than anticipated AND got me on the schedule sooner than planned! Besides all of that, I just really LIKED Greg and his crew. Really good people who are honest and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome given how stressful it all began. Greg de-escalated the situation almost immediately and helped me feel more at ease with the information he provided. Thanks to everyone at LOI.

PDX SS was referred to me by my new General Contractor. I had another contractor start a remodel…read moreand then walk off the job. After much debate, I needed to have the foundation that had been poured removed and fill in the hole. I was really struggling to find anyone to even bid the project, let alone take the job. Rob, the owner, showed up, bid the job to my new GC, was forthcoming about when he could start and what the costs would be. He was no nonsense, good for his word. Showed up with his crew and equipment the day he said he was going to, and every day till the job was done. He came across many issues with what the previous contractor had done, but he also came to me with solutions and the means to fix them. You have to love a guy who brings you answers to the problems you didn't even know you had! It was one of those, "this couldn't have gone any smoother" transactions. His crew was very careful with their equipment and made sure not to damage any of the surrounding areas, i.e. sidewalks, trees, fences, the neighbors cars. I'm pretty sure that man could tie a shoelace with that excavator thing he was using. Rob did everything he said he was going to do and even more. He went above and beyond. It's very rare, and hard to find honorable, no nonsense guys like that these days. This is an amazing team. A well run business, and just an all around great company to work with. I couldn't be happier. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the "after" photos show where Rob actually had some rich soil brought in and planted grass seed in it for me!! He didn't have to do that, but he did because that's just the kind of guy he is. One of a kind for sure.

Naturally, I was filled with worry over all the things that could go wrong. I was determined to watch them carefully and make sure that they were not going to damage anything, like my floors, my patio, my skylights, etc. In a very short time I could tell that they were absolutely meticulous, not dropping the bricks but carrying them from the roof to the bin. Inside the house, they were just as careful, protecting the floors, etc. When they were done, they carefully cleaned everything. Then I decided they were the ones I wanted to rip out all the old cupboards and shelves from the garage. They fitted that small job in immediately and did just as good of a job. Then I learned that they do small construction jobs and I hired them to install a vinyl pre-fab garden shed. They showed up with all the materials and put down sand, gravel and a paver pad, leveled it, and put up the shed in a day. I have hired dozens on workers and construction crews over the years and when I find a good one, I like to let people know.
