The store refused to accept it and the document was eventually sent back to the sender. I thought this was odd and nobody contacted me about it. It was time sensitive which is why it was decided to send it to the store. I assumed this must be an unfortunate, but unique experience. I've used them a couple of other times to mail packages, and notice that every time I ask for the lowest cost shipping option, they will first tell me a higher one and then I have to ask again for the lower cost. This is frustrating and makes me question whether I have overpaid for shipping in the past. The biggest issue, and the final reason why I will no longer use this store, is that they switched the mailing label on a package I was sending out with someone else's package (a stranger, their recipient received my package and mine theirs). There is no way for me to get my items back. I did receive a refund, however I do not trust this store with important items (either sending or receiving) and do not trust the consistent upselling.

Went to the All Service Moving website and booked my move. There was a confirmation phone call from the front office then there was a phone call from Chuck my move lead saying that they were about 30 minutes out from arriving. If you read one thing from this review, it's this: do not hire All Service Moving unless you're…read morewilling to risk unexpected charges, damaged belongings, and a company that refuses to stand behind its work. We provided a complete inventory of our home and were quoted for one truck. Your team spent an entire day packing our home and never once mentioned there was a capacity issue. It wasn't until the very end of moving day, after everything had already been packed and loaded and we had no meaningful opportunity to make another decision, that we were told we needed to pay for a second truck. As a result, it ultimately required two trucks to remove our belongings from storage, effectively doubling the cost we had been led to expect. Unfortunately, the handling of our belongings was even more concerning. During move-out from All Service Moving's warehouse, numerous damaged items were identified and photographed. We also documented furniture stored directly against other furniture with little or no protection, exposed boxes, and delicate items packed and stored in ways that unnecessarily increased the risk of damage. As we continued unpacking, we found additional examples of improper packing, despite paying All Service Moving to professionally pack our home. Wardrobe boxes were not used for hanging clothing--the hanging bars were never used, and clothing and shoes were piled throughout the boxes. Delicate lamp shades were packed with dirty outdoor items. Clothing was packed alongside a floor cleaner and a greasy kitchen rack. Fragile decorative branches were packed without protection and arrived broken. These were not isolated mistakes. They reflected a consistent pattern in how our belongings were packed, stored, and handled. Despite photographs documenting both the damage and the way our belongings were packed and stored while in All Service Moving's warehouse, the company has never taken responsibility. We spent months trying to resolve this privately before writing this review. During that time, we repeatedly provided documentation, waited through postponed discussions, and requested the documents supporting the company's position. Those documents were never produced, and All Service Moving never took responsibility for the damage. Moving is one of the largest expenses and most stressful experiences many people will go through. When you hire a moving company, you're trusting them with everything you own. We expected our belongings to be handled with care and, if something went wrong, for the company to stand behind its work. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with All Service Moving.

I highly recommend Portland Movers Company…read more I used Portland Movers Company 2 times recently. First for moving from my things from my sold home to storage until I found a home to purchase and then a second time from storage to my new home. For each time from the initial contact for the appointment to the final move I could not have asked for better service. All of my questions were answered, I was informed the evening before and the morning of the moves of arrival times so I was prepared. The movers took great care of my things even though they worked quickly and ensured things were left where I wanted them.

We paid for full service because we are both currently injured and could not do the work ourselves, and we came to them through a family recommendation. The crew was scheduled to arrive between 11:00 and 12:00 and showed up around 2:00. We were told there had been an accident, and we understand things happen. But by the time they arrived, we had already packed everything except the kitchen ourselves. Packing the kitchen alone took them roughly three and a half hours, and even then the refrigerator was never emptied and items were left sitting on the counters. The team seemed very inexperienced. They needed direction on the simplest tasks, had zero spatial awareness, and moved at a snail's pace. They were also strikingly inefficient, taking a single item at a time to the elevator and riding up to the new unit instead of loading it first, and theykept doing it even after we suggested otherwise. Eventually we asked them to stop handling our dressers because we were worried about damage and about someone getting hurt. To keep the time and the bill from spiraling, we moved boxes, cleared out both closets, and carried furniture ourselves. It is not an exaggeration to say my partner and I did at least 60% of the move. I ended up moving two large dressers on my own with an injured ankle because they couldn't figure out how to maneuver it into the closet. Afterward we sent a detailed message, and owner Natalya called. The conversation centered almost entirely on the late arrival. The labor we ended up doing and the unfinished kitchen and refrigerator were never really engaged with. When we raised how inexperienced the crew seemed, we were told they had more than 10 years of experience, which flatly contradicted what we had just watched. The most she offered was a $100 discount, which she described as the entire profit on the job. We have used movers several times before for larger and more complicated moves, and every one went better than this. I would not recommend this company.

While the guy who did my paperwork seemed nice, it was way over the top like he was trying to ingratiate himself with me for a better tip. The questions he was asking me were personal and invasive and just left me feeling uncomfortable and wanting to get away from him. Unfortunately this is the reality of being a woman, often, is men mistake your kindness for familiarity when he should have just stuck to being a professional doing his job. This second, and LAST move I will ever hire Bridgetown for, I booked a move with three guys and the same size truck as my previous move. I specifically wanted a company who knew how much stuff I had (we ran out of room, the first time, and I had to leave several items behind). The issues started at booking, when my estimate arrived with my deposit, and the quote read $0...I checked in with Devon and she said my move was still booked, the quote was just a system error (but didn't fix the issue of an hourly rate for 3 guys...but ok...), the confirmation text I received a a few days before my move caused me minor panic because she listed the wrong date...OOPS her bad, but it's fine, all is well, ok... But, the day comes, and TWO men show up with a much smaller than expected truck. I ask about the 3rd guy? Oh well yea his work order says it's supposed to be 3, the paperwork he hands me says 3...I call Devon and yep oops "Dispatch" (aka one of the owners apparently?) "made a mistake and sent the wrong crew due to a paperwork mixup." Folks, when I tell you this would have been an absolutely nightmarish scenario that would have cost me my last shred of sanity due to all the BS I've been dealing with, it can't be underestimated how p'd off I was. Luckily for me, I have terrible anxiety and bc my last move took so many hours, I haven't been able to sit still and had taken *sixteen* carloads of moving bags over myself before the movers ever arrived. I wanted this move to go so much smoother than the last, and I had two afternoon appointments for various maintenace and install issues with my new house that day of the move. I booked three men and huge truck specifically to make the move fast and easy. If I had not absolutely destroyed my body (thank you, anxiety, for apparently seeing the future and that something would in fact massively go wrong) taking allllll that stuff myself over two weeks after I got my keys on the 1st, there is ZERO shot everything would have fit on the truck, not even half my stuff would have fit. And as a reminder, I specifically booked Bridgetown because they had an inventory from my previous move. I was in the end charged the minimum rate, to "apologize" for the "mixup," but having to explain to Devon and to the two man crew why this was all so frustrating and upsetting is insane to me. I booked 3 guys, giant truck, with BM specifically who had my inventory because I knew how much stuff I had to move. They caused me at least 10 more gray hairs that day. I will never, ever, be using your services again.

There's an added cost with the HireAHelper platform. Moving out of the area, we consulted with Nick. We considered two or three people to help us move for a 2 bedroom apartment. We went ahead with three people, since we're on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex, and that was the right move. Jake, Josiah, and Chris showed up early! They were so efficient with a previous move that day that they called and said they were ready to go. We had ordered 2 relocubes through U-Pack and when they arrived - these things look smaller than we thought they would be. There's just no way we could have packed as efficiently as Jake, Josiah, and Chris did. They were so fast too. We hadn't packed as well as we could have. Moves are stressful. We had odd pieces of furniture and linen in garbage bags, and the crew was able to take them all and fit them into the cubes. They finished within 3 hours. With the containers, there's bound to be some jostling using the forklift to load them onto the truck, but I am worry-free. They did such a great job making sure things were tightly packed.

The main reason we hired movers was to avoid damaging our nice furniture.I explained what we needed moved over the phone. On the day of the move they showed up over an hour late. What we needed moved was not explained at all to the guys that showed up. Therefore, they started moving items that we didn't need moved, and when everything was eventually straightened out they were pressed for time and did not take proper precautions to protect our furniture. As a result, our nice/expensive furniture was damaged. I called them after we noticed the damage. They asked me to text them photos and said they'd take care of it and "put a smile on my face." Very friendly and reassuring. After that, I heard nothing. I called several times, and it went straight to voicemail. After a couple months I suspected they blocked my phone and sure enough, when I called from another phone it went through. I left a message and never heard back. Shady, shady business. They were honest and fair with the amount of hours they billed me too. I was all alone getting this move done, and let's just say this whole moving stuff really isn't any kind of fun when you're doing this by yourself as a woman. I couldn't even leave the house to go grab food, and the two brothers that came out were so kind as to bring me a hamburger. It was a small gesture, but it was very much appreciated since I hadn't eaten all day. They also had one of their wives run to Home Depot to get some rope for me, and they only charged me the exact amount for the rope. I'm sure other folks would've charged me for the price of sending her on her errands. They even showed up a few times to help wrap a couple of fragile items, and they didn't charge me for that. They were careful and cautious in getting our stuff moved. We didn't have one thing that was damaged. The guy who was packing up our box truck had some seriously *mad* Tetris skills. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to get everything we needed to into that truck. I stressed that it was really important to me to fit everything in there since I was just renting the truck for the one trip, and I couldn't afford a second trip. They were there for probably 8 hours or so, and they really worked it. I highly recommend them!
