Beware!!! Once you have been in the unit for 3 or four months then they hike the rent 3 times the rental. This is basically a bait and switch operation. Do not fall for the low initial rate as they will triple the rental soon after. I will report them to the BBB and Attorney General. This is not a one time rental increase "to keep up with the supply and demands of the market" but as planned premeditated underhanded way of doing business. BEWARE!!! People who gave them good reviews mostly only did it within the first few months of renting - before they jack the rental fees up to as much as 200%! This company is excellent at getting you in with no contracts and fair pricing. They are very friendly and professional. However, after just a few months they sent me a notice that my storage unit was being increased to keep up with the supply and demands of the market. I can understand a small increase, but my monthly fee went from $64.50 to $160. That's a 150%! I even called thinking this was a mistake, but it was not. Interestingly they still have these rates for new customers renting. If you're only looking for a short-term rental - they are great, but anything longer and they will "stick it to you" I have used other storage places for years in other locations and only experienced modest increases. read more

We moved our storage to this location due to a very reasonable monthly rate & were assured, when we inquired, that that rate was not a promotional rate & that it would remain the same. Well lo & behold, two months later, we noticed that our automatic payment to them TRIPLED IN PRICE!!! We travel full-time & had left AZ & were in Alabama, so we called to inquire about the insanely jacked up rate & were met over the phone by the apparent manager, Andrew, who is a smarmy, lying POS. Andrew is the epitome of a corporate, low level manager who has ZERO actual customer service ability. At first look, the grounds are clean, but on returning to our storage unit...RAT SHIT is on every goddamn box. Absolutely NO PEST/VERMIN CONTROL. If I could give ZERO STARS I absolutely would!!! US Storage...you SUCK & should seriously revisit how you lure customers in with bait & switch tactics. You should also hire some people with actual customer service skills & not ones who lie to your face while actually smiling at you. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but in this case, I couldn't just sit back and not say something. By far the worst customer service I've ever had. The property manager is entitled and tries to gaslight you into believing the "going rate" is 3x higher than it actually is. They raise your rates every few months and after a year you'll be paying 200% of your original cost. The corporate office makes false promises and doesn't communicate well with the local management. There are a dozen better options within a 3 mile radius. I run several companies and we use storage units all over the valley, this has been by far the worst one I've ever used. Although customer service had been decent in the past, I can't get over the fact that increase in pricing by over 150% is inevitable. When calling in to try and figure why this is, they say it's to keep up with the current market. However, when I look for quotes at other companies down the road and around the area- all of their pricing is HALF of what US Storage charges. Yes, the pricing had been lower when I first rented from them but the drastic/immediate increase with reasoning that makes zero sense is ridiculous. Looking at other reviews from the past, it looks like they've been doing this to other customers for a while. I have been with US Storage for a long time now and their new manager AJ was unwilling to help my family by accepting my past due rent and allowing me to cover this month's rent in the next week. Not only was he not willing to help despite my time with US Storage but he refused to help get me connected to anyone else who would. The previous manager was always so gracious and helpful. We reserved and paid for a storage unit on 2/14, arrived to check in on 2/23 with a large U-Haul truck full and 3 more trucks to find out they were closed due to a staffing issue. We called the number and no one could help us get access to our storage unit and just said sorry. We had to scramble and find another storage facility while we were all sitting in limbo. I was extremely impressed with US Storage Centers. I rented a unit for 4 months this past summer. Lucas, the property manager, was very helpful throughout our entire rental from beginning to end. They helped me get the best rate (less than competitors), held the spot for me and gave me all the information I needed to end the rental. The conditions of the facility and my unit were great as well. I felt safe having my stuff here and was able to access it whenever I needed. I have had bad experiences with storage units adding on fees or charging after I left, so I was pleased to find that US Storage Centers doesn't try to get more out of people after they leave. He took me around in his golf cart to any of the units I wanted to see, was excited, happy, and just warm hearted. He kept the units clean and well kept even though nothing was in them (yet). His prices were amazing for my budget. He even kept his lock on my unit until I was ready to move in to make sure no one else would put anything in it. He lives on site and is always excited to see his customers. He has moving essentials available in his office for purchase and has great recommendations for movers. I can't speak for those customers because I don't know their circumstance or their situation. I can only speak on my behalf and my experience with the facility, the property manager, and my storage unit. I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Lucas, the property manager, has been so gracious to me and is a fantastic communicator. Twice now the trucking company who dropped off my shipments did not communicate well with me but whenever they showed up Lucas communicated with me, listened to the situation, and made sure to take care of the situation with professionalism and utmost customer service. I needed a storage unit upgrade and he was prompt and gave me a tour of the new unit right away and ensured that it exceeded my expectations. I'm sad that I'll be moving locations soon because Lucas takes such good care of me and other customers, but he's already put in a good word to the next storage unit facility I'll be transferring to!! Todd was super helpful and what a nice guy! He drove me to the area where my unit was reserved and gave me my pick of the available spaces. He's made this process super easy and I really appreciate that. I love that I can make my payments online too! I had to come back and edit. When I was leaving, he not only showed me the locking system and demonstrated it to make sure I knew how to use it, I forgot to go put my lock on.
