I have to say I was much surprised to see the one bad review. This was not my experience, AT ALL! Possibly it is different now that there is a new onsite manager. I found Kevin to be a pleasure to deal with. In fact, he seemed to go out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. He coordinated my move-in ahead of time so that when I arrived, I was in and out of the office in 5 minutes. This was very important to me as the movers were charging me by the hour. The facility is absolutely first class all the way. After getting my movers started unloading, I was able to use a computer in the customer waiting area to check my email as I had not been able to do so in several days due to being in the middle of a move. Very nice touch. As far as that other review goes, I did not use the Free Truck with move-in so I can't comment. As for the refunds, I would not expect one due to NO REFUNDS being in bold type on page one of the lease. The rent is month to month based on your move-in date. I am planning my move-out to coincide with that date, so I can't see this being an issue. I actually preferred this as other places you end up paying for part of a month you don't use. I will say that of the other facilities I looked at in the area, StorQuest was by far the nicest and had the friendliest staff of anyone I talked to. Perhaps it's the new manager? In any case, I would have no reservations in highly recommending StorQuest to anyone looking for safe, secure storage in the area, at great prices. I was moving from Colorado to Arizona. I had a rental truck and hired two movers to meet me at All Star Storage. When I called from Colorado to set up a storage unit All Star said they had plenty of availability just come and they will have a unit available. What they failed to tell me was that they aren't open on Sunday's. So here I am in a new state with a moving truck full of furniture and two movers being paid and I'm stuck. I got on google and found StorQuest. I called them immediately and Amy answered. She knew I was desperate as I had these movers for only a few hours and the clock was already ticking. Amy had me come right in and she made everything happen quickly. She went the extra mile for me and I'm so grateful to have found someone who had a sense of urgency for my situation and put me at ease.She literally made my problem hers and grabbed the bull by the horns. When I was planning a long distance move, at the end of 2014, I looked on line, for facilities to storage of my household goods and do comparisons. This particular location, for StorQuest, was among them. I decided to reserve one, on line, and did so with ease. Within a very short time, Nathan called me to confirm my selection. We discussed how much I was moving to store and he suggested that I may only need the next smaller size and that if so, could change once I got there in mid-January. The office called to follow up a few days before my scheduled arrival on my ETA. The facility is immaculate and the temperature controlled climate was/is far better than I anticipated. As if turned out, I paid several months in advance, but was able to move out a month early. I'd given them some advance notice on this (required), and a full month was refunded, with no question and within days. Dan and Nathan delivered great customer service from beginning to end; even my local family was as impressed as I was. We chose StorQuet-Peoria because it was in close range to where we lived. It was very refreshing to enter the office and receive the friendly service that we received. Gina was great! She got us set up with our unit very quickly and she was very informative regarding the Manager (Kevin) and the facilities itself. I drove around this area and had a few choices. Prices were comparative but what got me with StorQuest (Daniel) was the great customer service. First impressions last. I have now been there about a year and the team there is very helpful. I have never had to wait for anything and they offer multiple services. Glad to have met this team and highly recommend them to family and friends. Liked the layout of the property and the security features. We have used this location since November 2014 and rented up to 5 units to store our entire home while we waited for our new house to be ready. We have dealt with both Dan and Nathan and always received the most prompt, courteous and polite customer service from them. I have rented from StorQuest for almost a year now. I am completely pleased with my experience. I am set up on auto-pay and my card on file had to be replaced by my bank, when my rent became due, I got a friendly reminder call. This is a great facilility for storage. Everything is secure with alarms and codes and is kept clean. The reason for my 3 star is I was told no money down with the $1 for the first month. Turns out I spent $45 to get it all set up, my storage is only $35. I was upset going through the whole process THEN being told about the fees even tho I was told there was none when I called. Rep was not at all sensitive to "my need for speed" the intake process was way too long and not the least bit user friendly. I was expecting a unit w/ access from the main road thru the facility. I got a unit that I had to access down a long hallway. I felt misled and sorry I chose StarQuest! read more
