As a military family, we've moved many times both within Minnesota and across the country, and this experience was truly our best. This squad of young men -- Chris, Devon, Jeri, and Carson -- exceeded every expectation. Their attention to detail, care for our belongings, clear and personable communication about where items should go, and overall friendliness were unmatched. We plan to use Minne Movers again in August and hope to have the same team. Thank you all for a completely stress free afternoon. You were true professionals and made this move effortless.

My movers brought stuff down. Then they decided that I couldn't have the truck. They told me that it was only for moving in. They could have told me this at the time I reserved it, before I committed to movers, or any other time. They started smiveling about how instead of trusting them "I should have read the fine print." That is how much they care about customer service and keeping their word. I was out $350 to the movers. The "regional manager" was in the office and was fully aware of what was happening, and agreed that they should not keep their word, that I should have read the fine print instead of taking their word for it when they went through all the motions of providing the truck. This is a nice facility and a good location for me, but If you care about honesty and integrity, stay away, they are liars and snivelers.

Being a local enterprise, they are attentive, easy to reach and do business with, adhere to their quote (an unusual event these days) and willingly finish as early as the job ends (also sometimes an unusual event with other firms). All in all, with a customer experience doing business with them that goes back to 2002, these are honest, good people to do business with. A move is stressful enough. There were a few things that were not great about this move and collectively makes me not recommend them. 1) They were an hour late and didn't call. I had to call them to see if they were still coming. 2) They brought to small of a truck and seem to think that I had too much stuff for a one bedroom. We had to take two trips and they try to charge me for the exccess time on the highway plus their members breaks. When I brought it up the mover said "oh yeah I forgot." I heard this quite a lot later. 3) I was quoted 3 to 5 hours in email for my job. They tried to charge me for 9, including the above. When I brought up that I was quoted 3-5 hours they told me they would have never quoted me that even though it was provided to me in writing. I told them how much furniture and clothing I had when I called to quote so it shouldn't have been a surprise for this or the truck size. 4) My bathroom cabinet was broken in the move. I didn't love it so I wasn't sad about it. The mover said that I would get reimbursed for this. He, again, forgot when I initially got the total at the end of the move and I had to remind them a couple times to ensure I got reimbursed. I did eventually get reimbursed for it. 5) I asked the movers, as I was leaving my apartment, to meet them at the house if they wanted me to stay until they had packed everything up. They said no, that I could go ahead and they would meet me down at my house. When I came back to the apartment later that night they actually left a headboard and footboard in the hallway that didn't make it on the truck. Again he said he "forgot" the item in the hallway. When I called the next day they did send the same movers out to pick it up and were going to coordinate with me to drop it off later that day. No one ever called and I had to call them the coordinate for delivery the following day. If this place could get it together it could be decent but for now I wouldn't recommend them.

StorageMart -- Plymouth / Hwy 169 --…read more A Night-and-Day Difference If I could give it ten stars, I would. After the nightmare I went through with Public Storage, walking into StorageMart felt like finally being treated like a human being. From the moment I stepped into the office and was greeted by Brad, everything changed. He didn't try to rush me, judge me, or talk over me -- he just listened. He let me vent about everything that had gone wrong, and somehow managed to make me feel lighter just by being present. That kind of patience and empathy is rare, especially in customer service. Real People, Real Compassion At Public Storage I was paying nearly $140/month for a 10 × 15 unit and treated like a problem. At StorageMart, I upgraded to a 10 × 20 for less money and more humanity. Brad's kindness and respect made an enormous difference. He treated me with basic dignity and understanding -- something I hadn't experienced in a long time. Clean, Safe, Accessible My unit was spotless when I moved in. The facility is well-lit, secure, and (thankfully) has cell service -- something Public Storage sorely lacked. As someone with physical limitations, that alone gives me peace of mind knowing I could call for help if I ever needed it. The access points are convenient, the property is clearly maintained, and you can tell it's managed with care rather than indifference. Honest and Reliable StorageMart tells you when someone will be on-site -- and they actually are. No ghost "property managers, "no run-around. Their posted hours match reality. And while I do my best to leave on time, life sometimes has other plans. Brad and his team have never harassed me with texts or emails when I've been delayed leaving. That grace and understanding mean everything when you're already doing your best under difficult circumstances. A Company With a Pulse StorageMart proves compassion still exists in business. They follow through on their word, respect their customers, and balance professionalism with genuine decency -- something the big chains have clearly forgotten. Bottom line: if you want clean, affordable, and safe storage run by people who treat you like a person -- not an account number -- StorageMart on 169 is where you want to be. It was due to conflicting schedules with my roommate's work and school timing so that in order to begin our lease earlier than anticipated we would have to move in earlier also. Thankfully we were able to reach out to these guys and they helped us make that huge dilemma of ours into a simplified and easy move. We had to move north about six hundred miles and were considering all of the possible things that could have happened to our stuff on the way. Thankfully this company had accounted for that and they had several different types of crates, boxes, and even insurance deals to help us get over our doubts and fears. All of the electronics were packed neatly next to each other while the clothing were all folded and neatly layered in the crates.  It took us about four days or less just to get everything packed up, labeled up all of the boxes and carried the furniture out into the trucks from the house. After that it was all up to the movers to get the things shipped into our new place by the end of the following week, they told us this would be no issue. Fortunately enough, the movers did exactly as they promised and had our things delivered in under seventy two hours, expedited shipping was also very cheap compared to other places. Definitely give them a call for a helping hand in moving.

The biggest thing I think should be shared more clearly is that there is no drive-through option, which the extra-space storage south of 36 DOES offer. That allows way more vehicles in at a time and makes it easier to access units and move quickly. With the challenges of getting a spot in a bay, it becomes really tedious loading and unloading, especially when you have a unit on a different floor from the dock. If I were to do it again, I would go with the location south of 36 (even though it costs more) and push for a unit on the floor of a dock. Since we started going there, they have added tracking of the carts to make sure they get back to bays, which is great, and it seems a little cleaner and less busy, which has helped a bit.
