Overcrowds the box with junk mail and then takes our mail including prescription medication and leaves a not saying they will consider our house abandoned. I watch the emails and know what was in there the whole two days I couldn't check it. I work when they are open in Windsor so now I have to go to the hospital because they are keeping my medication. And because I can't go when they are open... They will keep all of our mail forever. My medication only come by mail. They could easily have put the package on the porch or excluded the junk mail but no.... They kept the prescription medication. BRILLIANT!!! Now I have to file a theft report with the police department to get my medications resent via UPS. read more

It's probably not worth writing a review about a post office, since the only time one goes to the post office is when they need to. Regardless, I just can't let this go. The staff is extremely unfriendly. I stood in an empty post office 'line' for a good couple of minutes before I asked the woman behind the counter if I could drop my package off here, pointing to the counter that has other packages placed on it. She ignored me the first time. So I waited quietly assuming she was busy with her head down in her phone and her EarPod in her ear. I asked again a little louder. Instead of a simple yes or no, she looks up, very annoyed that I've bothered her to answer a simple question at the job she's getting paid to do, and gives me an explanation about how there are signs posted in front of the counter. One read something like NO packages on this counter, and the other ones read something about how incorrectly labeled packages won't be shipped (or something - I should have taken a picture). The thing is, I also wanted a receipt of drop off, not just to simply drop the package off and leave. To the only woman behind the counter on 9/22 around 2pm, I am so sorry you had to interact with people at your job, how awful it must be to be you - to be so unpleasant in your day to day interactions with people. read more

It's a new low for me writing a review of a post office but if this place wasn't as horrible as they behave I would let it go. Avoid for anything beyond a simple package delivery. Don't expect to speak to the postmaster or have him return your call. And, nobody else knows jack. Avoid. read more

I've used this post office 4 or 5 times over the last couple of years and have found the various employees to be very helpful, courteous and expeditious. On one occasion, they saved me a bunch of money as they described the various methods of sending packages. Lastly, I've been lucky in that I've never had to wait very long in line. read more

Deserted...check...long lines...check...service hit or miss...big check. Like many US Post Offices they are a dread to visit and I avoid if at all possible. Sadly I had to drop off a package, which when I walked in I had asked if I needed to stand in line which followed by a "Yes". Half an hour later I get up the counter only to have another employee tell me I could of just dropped it off on the counter and not waited in line...lesson learned. Would be nice if they had a sign indicating such, oh well. Outside of that debacle it's been relatively the same experience with other visits, but at least they get paid well to provide terrible customer service...oh well. Bright side? Um, easy parking and tons of PO Boxes if you need one. Hard to really come up with anything else positive sadly. read more

Stopped here to deliver a big international box. Staff was professional during my visit but when I took a picture of the lobby (for yelp) I was scolded and told not to take photos and the employee looked around trying to find a sign to verify her assertation. Neither of us could find a sign prohibiting photography. I said they need an actual sign. She started telling me a confusing and vague story about someone who took a photo and something that happened that was bad because of it. I couldn't understand what happened. Anyway, my package was shipped and the woman who helped me was quick and efficient. Location was clean and was adequately stocked with packing supplies and the form I needed. The Windsor postal service did not deliver my Mother's Day card even though my son and his family sent it well before Mother's Day as they always have. There was no delivery the Saturday before Mother's Day not even my usual assortment of junk mail. Needless to say I was very disappointed. This non delivery is unacceptable. I am not sure why they hold some of my mail for an extra day before delivering it. I track the packages online and they have obviously been received the Windsor Post Office. Delivery is scheduled for day x, but there it sits for another day. For people like me that pay extra money for their mail/ packages to be delivered by the USPS by a certain date, it's unacceptable! God forbid the package is set to arrive on a Friday or Saturday, it just might not show up until Monday. Waste of my time, older Asian woman (worker) bragged about working there for 20 years yet when I asked if it's easier to print labels online she replied with "I don't know anything about that, figure it out" ... if someone was working at a company for 20 years wouldn't they be up to date on all information a customer would ask?.. seems to be a problem every time I go in. I rent a PO BOX at this location and let me tell you this post office is not careful delivering mail in the correct post boxes. There has been over three incidents that I haven't received very important mail where the sender told me they mailed it. Serval times in the past when I picked up my mail from my PO BOX, I'd often receive other peoples mail. I make sure that letter gets delivered by drooping it back in the outgoing mail with my fingers crossed hoping it makes it to it's correct destination. If this happens again, I'll be forced to stop using this post office box and have my mail sent somewhere else. This crap has got to stop. I have too many important documents and letters that can't be in the hands of careless workers. What's the use of renting a PO BOX if my mail gets lost or delivered into the wrong box? read more

On 8/20/19 an employee charged my autistic son $4.06 to mail a video. When I found out, I went into the PO and asked why it was so much (should have been media mail). The employee said she didn't know what was in the package; but in fact, my son had informed her it was a video. (He never lies.) She denied that he had said as much, and informed me that if I was going to send him in with videos to mail, I should write "media" on the package. Poor customer service! read more

This is the best Post Office in all of Sonoma County...and I think I have been to most of them! Mark and the girls are always friendly and they practically know me by name. I think that they really enjoy working there despite the fact that business is slow and some of them having their hours cut. They are just a friendly bunch of people who are genuinely happy to be there. The service is great. My mail always gets delivered on time and I rarely have a problem. They handle my packages, always have stamps, and they processed my passport with ease. Thanks to the terrific team at the Windsor Post Office for always doing such a great job! read more

The service is horrible! The older guy is like, " I can repeat myself again.....". The younger woman is catatonic and monotone with no personality and comes across very rude. They are customer service who don't know about smiling or friendliness. No wonder the US post office loses business to other shipping private companies. read more

One of the PO's managers, Mary, came to retrieve one of the packages left for Bell Manor a few weeks back....she acted like this was such a huge chore for her and had such a sour attitude about the whole situation. Personally, I feel that she should not be manager as when I've seen her, she always seems to have a "chip" on her shoulders. I have read the other reviews on YELP, and as there are not that many, it seems many really like the way this particular office runs, I for one, do not, and plan to keep my investigation open until I am fully satisfied and they do their job correctly. In this little bitty small town, one would think they'd get things correct....not so!!! Tried to make me buy tape to close the box they provide. Is it petty that I'm complaining? Probably, but this is the first time in my life I've been told "we don't close boxes, only ship them". WTF? And they were super rude about it too! Every post office i have ever shipped a flat rate box has been kind enough to slap a couple pieces of tape on it to get it on its way. I have had P.O. Box here for nearly 10 years. I am also a business person who sends packages all the time. The packages I drop off never disappear like other post offices. Certain times of day the lines can be long especially after school hours and before closing like 3pm to 5pm. Mark a long time employee is one of my absolute favorites. Windsor Post Office is definitely one of the better ones in Sonoma County. Like any Post Office make sure you if you have to stand in line you choose a favorable time of time of day. read more

Your postal clerks were grumpy today. When I walked up to the clerk she said gruffly "I'm closed that's why I have the sign up". I didn't notice it til she pointed it to me. Then when the other woman waited on me, I said should I swipe now? She said, "no! Patience is a virtue". Now listen I'm a senior member of this community so do I need this sort of treatment to be scolded? I worked with the public as a nurse and had more respect with people than those two. You need to teach your people to have respect not only to elders but to everyone. read more

They refuse to use gate codes to deliver packages. I pay to have delivered to house. UPS and FedEx do so happily. If you don't want to deliver don't take packages!!! Went to get packages, get home and they gave someone else's, from across town. Worst service ever. Don't send any thing throug the USPS. read more

Was the first person in the door had my package all ready to send out. The lady said I had to do a customs form. Had me scoot over to the side and fill it out. I did real quick and when I went to go back over she made me get to the end of the line, the line was out the door, and she wasn't nice about it at all. The staff is the most friendly in all of Sonoma County! I would never disregard great customer service except for the fact that they can't seem to get anything done. The personal conversations between the staff and thier clients take forever! I've often stood in line for five minutes waiting for the staff to finish asking about what "Jimmy had for breakfast." The staff in the post office are very friendly and nice, however, this is the second time this month (it's only July 14) that my mail has been misplaced. I was supposed to receive keys to the parcel locker but they ended up in another tenant's mailbox again. I am very unhappy with the postal service delivery in Windsor they continually deliver other people's mail to me or deliver my mail to other people, in the last three weeks I have had three separate packages delivered to neighbors two were brought back to me but one was not, also two of these packages had my address written in large numbers on the outside of the package beside the mailing label how could they miss that? read more
