Roy at Rabbit Hole Post is the BEST!! He is likely the reason my two adult kids and I were able to visit my elderly parents in Canada. Why? Because I have a Gen Z adult daughter who needed an emergency expedited passport, and she kept sleeping through her passport appointments. Turned out she also needed her original birth certificate, which had to be overnighted to her for her last-ditch chance to get a passport in time. I was so frazzled and walked in to Roy's store about an hour before closing, asking if a document (birth certificate) could be overnighted. He let me know it was actually too late for that store but turns out he knows all the ins and outs of UPS, and directed me to a nearby drop box. He was even patient and kind when I got lost and had to come back to ask again for directions. These days it seems like the art of customer service and going above and beyond has been lost. Not here at the Rabbit Hole Post! Roy was a consummate professional who went out of his way to make sure my document would make it out before the end of the day and because of his help, it did! I had been coming to this place since it was, "Sonoma Shipping". I was always greeted by a smiley pair, who provided excellent customer service. Since Covid Shutdowns this place fell into new ownership. I have only been here twice in 2021 and this last visit was my last time ever. I let the first encounter slide about three weeks ago when I had two bottles of wine shipped, but on the second visit to the store the mistreatment and lack of care/customer service made the experience awful. The woman at the desk rolled her eyes at any question I had in regards to my two returns that I had brought printed labels of. I asked for scissors and she demonstrated many apparent physical disturbances. At the end she said " I guess I'll do that" and grabbed the slips abruptly after blowing air through her teeth and rolling her eyes again. I would not recommend this place to anyone I care about. Go to Postal Plus in the Larkfield Shopping Center. They are family owned, and so kind. read more

I was on a business trip and took advantage of picking up a few bottles of nice red wine to take home. The winery had only basic carry boxes, not shipping boxes to ship as luggage on the plane. I stopped in the Sonoma Shipping Center after having lunch near by, and John and his staff fixed me up fast, and very reasonably from a cost standpoint. They lent me the tape and markers to complete the packaging of my wine, and got me off to the airport in very short order. These guys are terrific! They shipped a piece of art for me across country. You'd think it would be easy, right? Well, nobody in Petaluma would even touch it! Matt made a DOUBLE box. It was CUSTOM to my piece of art. THEN he hot-glued a bunch of cardboard spacers to the outside of the first box. THEN he put styrofoam corners all around on top of the first box. THEN he packed the first box into a bigger box and filled it with 'peanuts'. I have honestly never been more impressed with one box in my entire life. That painting is going to get to my daughter in pristine shape, all across the country, via UPS. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it. Thank you a million times. We will be back. read more
