Postal Plus at Larkfield is my go-to for all of my shipping needs. They're great at helping find the best way to ship a package - what's most cost effective, what the timelines look like, and what packaging works best. The woman that's often there is awesome at fitting things into boxes and she packages everything very well. I have used them multiple times to ship wine across the country and they do a great job - not all shipping places will ship wine. Because I go there regularly, they have my family's addresses saved in their system which makes it really easy. My packages get where they're going on time when I use Postal Plus. Exorbitant pricing to ship a small box to Southern CA via Priority Mail. Mailed it on Monday morning, told it should be there by Wed. Now it's not expected to arrive until Friday. Tracked this box and it sat for more than a day with "shipping label created" and has moved through the shipping system very slowly (USPS is obv responsible for this, not the store) but I would say for their added fee tacked on, the convenience for me is not worth the extra time it clearly takes. I should have gone directly to the post office. read more

I was happy to find this family-owned shipping business next to Cookie...Take A Bite, particularly to help with a FedEx shipment because there's not a FedEx near me. But they can also ship USPS, UPS, and DHL too! They sell greeting cards and shipping supplies and more. And they offer notary services. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I had to pick a star rating in order to share what may be helpful to someone else with a DHL shipment. I dropped off a prepaid return package here on a Thursday, and was told it would not be picked up until Friday. The website said I was there in time for what I thought was a daily pickup, but ok, no big deal. On Monday afternoon, having seen no tracking movement, I called and was told it was still there. The guy said maybe he would call DHL because entering it in the computer had not resulted in a pickup. On Wednesday, almost a week after my initial visit, I went back in and took the package back to take somewhere else. The employee there that day at first tried to tell me the package had been picked up. It was confusing and frustrating. I was especially concerned because I had no receipt proving I had dropped it off, but it had been safe in their store and she was able to locate it after I insisted. The people here seem nice enough, and they probably do fine with most services. I suggest if they don't have much DHL business and have this much trouble getting a package picked up, they simply stop offering the service. The other place I took it to in downtown Santa Rosa (after calling first to see if they had a DHL pickup that day) was able to scan it in and get it picked up the way you would think it would work, and now it is on its way without any issues. So overall, no harm done other than a week's delay, an extra trip and a bit of stress. Bottom line: Postal Plus is definitely not the place to ship via DHL. read more

I go here often because the workers are excellent and they offer a trifecta of shipping options: USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Every single time I go, I leave UNirritated, and I can't say that about the post office nor the official UPS/FedEx stores. read more

I just opened a PO Box here and had a great experience with the staff. It's a little bit more than a box with USPS but you have the convenience of 24 hour secure access and no lines when you want to make a transaction, which is worth it in itself! I was also able to pull up and get a spot right in front of the door, which pretty much never happens to me at the post office either. In reading the other reviews, it sounds like there is a new owner and staff because the people that assisted me were beyond friendly and helpful. I'm glad I found this place! read more

This is my first time ever feeling the need to use yelp but the lack of customer service provided by the woman is so bad it's hard to believe. I live across the street and go miles out of my way to other postal services to avoid having to deal with her attitude. If I do go in there she is on the phone on a personal call and won't acknowledge you or leaning on the counter and says nothing. I requested a receipt once and she told me to track it online so she wouldn't have to simply print one off. Now my package has mysteriously disappeared and I don't want to go ask her because I already can assume she won't care. I will never go back there read more

This is my first time writing a review on yelp. I normally don't go out of my way to do this but I feel I need to say thanks to the staff and new owners. I came into the store about 3 weeks ago and I was shipping some personal items to Latin America. Of course I should have known better than not to insure my box but I sent it anyways without insurance. When my items didn't arrive I called The owner to complaint about my belongings never making it but apparently FedX did pick it up. The owner of the store explained how it was out of his hands and it was FedX who had it and was responsible for my belongings. Even though it was not his fault he contacted FedX and customs in Colombia helping me track my package and making sure it arrived to it's destination. I was very impressed with how quick the situation got resolved and the great customer service. I will continue to use your store. Thank you very much for following up and going above and beyond. I would give this place a zero if I could. First problem was with mail we dropped off there which mysteriously seemed to be weeks late in delivery. Next? Lost package. Called to inquire but didn't get the chance. As I started to explain the situation she cuts me off. The grouchy, crotchety, unbearably rude lady on the phone and her reaction to my missing package that was dropped off? She interrupted me, telling me how they have 'nothing to do with UPS packages and it's not her responsibility' and that she 'let's people drop off packages but tells them she has nothing to do with it' and a whole host of other facts delivered in a crabby tone to make sure I understand that she doesn't give a crap and how it's not her problem...seriously? It's not? Yes ma'am it is. You clearly don't care about a customer (which we will NO longer be by the way) and so you are not a business anyone should use. The new owner's of Postal Plus are very friendly and accommodating. Their new location (next door) is very spacious and welcoming. This is my favorite place to send a package or make copies. They have packing supplies, notary service and can copy keys. They also have mailboxes available that are accessible 24 hours. They are friendly and helpful. These guys are great! Friendly and helpful people, they are always willing to find a cheaper rate or a smaller box for you to get your item there cheaper, faster. They have all the supplies needed for any shipment, and a notary on site, which is very helpful for me on occasion.
