I've been here 3x for passport and it's horrible. First 2x it was closed even though I came within passport office hours. Today got here 12pm and there was a sign out for lunch open at 1:15pm came back at 1:10 sign was changed to closed for the day. Stayed in line to ask questions. Ppl kept lining up, one employee said yes someone will help us. 20 min later another employee announced that it was closed for the day due to short staffed. Called around came to Santa Fe main post office rushed and employees were all helpful there was a line too but assured we'd be help. Line closed at 2 pm. read more

Horrible post office!!! They claimed they delivered a package which needed a signature on a day where I was home all day and no one ever showed up. I also have surveillance at my home and checked in case I missed something and nope! No mailman ever came to my door. I called the number posted and all it did was ring. What is the point of having a phone if your not going to answer it! So I had to go to the post office to pick it up myself. And to make matters worse the front desk lady was rude! This location is further from me but needing my letter to leave early in the morning, I didn't have a choice (the one by my house only has two pick up times: 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm...no joke.) I didn't have a stamp so that meant getting off to purchase one from the lobby. Holy. Shit. It was 8 pm and their parking lot has ZERO lighting...none, zip, zilch. You can't park in front because it's all red zone so I had no choice. There was a shady car parked there and an SUV...I swear I thought I was walking to my deathbed. For a woman, this is concerning! It's pitch black and you can't tell if anyone is lurking around. I went in and out in 2 seconds flat because I was alone and completely terrified. I'll go back tonight to take a picture because you know I don't lie and I do it for the Yelp...but I'll take my hubby with me! Sub par service. I moved to Whittier three years ago and immediately noticed the lack of attention to details in postal delivery. My neighbors are always knocking at my door and handing me my mail (since its put in their box) and I give them theirs. So everyone on the block has eachothers mail. Luckily I have an honest neighbor who received my $500 check from the treasury department and hand delivered it to me. Over the past three years I have had three packages lost at their location. On these occasions I contacted FedEx and they mentioned that my post office was responsible for delivery. Two packages were absolutely lost, even though they said they had delivered and I was waiting by the door for the package, so I know in fact it was NOT delivered. On another occasion I filed a complaint since they couldn't find my $200+ package of Christmas clothes for my daughter. Lo and behold, a month later the package shows up at my door. Bottom Line: Their custodian Terry is AMAZING! I went to the post office today to mail a couple of packages. And to my fear, the normal clerk area was locked and closed. I was about to turn around and wait all the way until Monday to mail out my family birthday presents, but luck was on my side. Terry walked out of the back room and was kind enough to help me out. She explained to me that they have an electronic kiosk that allows customers to print stamps and packaging labels for their packages. She took me step-by-step on how the machine works and what to do with my package when done. After both of my packages were dropped, I made a comment about how amazing that machine is. She laughed and then told me about how it's amazing, but also scary because now that they have the machine they're starting to cut clerks. She went on to tell me about how she used to be a clerk, but when times got hard for the post office, she was moved to custodian. I could tell that she was let down, but her peppy attitude could of had me fooled. Terry took a seemingly terrible situation and turned it into a good one. Now she says she tries to help cheer up her fellow custodians since she can't work hands-on with customers anymore. I know that someday Terry will be returned to her original clerk position. Her personality and optimism is what this post office truly needs in order to breathe life back into the place. read more

This post office sucks! The mail carrier delivers the mail when they want and they dont care if it addressed to you, they will give it to any joe schmo standing close to your door. If you have a problem and try to call the office, good luck they dont answer their phone. You will have to go to the office multiple times to have the issue resolved, if resolved at all. I have been to this post office with issues with mail delivery at the least 5 times this year. It is ridiculous that I have to take time off work to resolve these issues.!! read more

First of all, there is no way to get in contact with someone through the phone. So I had to go in person to talk to them about my two packages that said "delivered in mailbox" but they weren't there. Once I got there I spoke to the supervisor. I told him what happened and he told me to write down my tracking numbers and my name and number. He said he was going to talk to the carriers and call me back that same day. I knew he wasn't going to call back.. and he didn't! Such horrible customer service.. it wasn't even busy. read more

this post office has different employees that work different days, (like most businesses) but if you get a "bad employee day" when all the people are waiting to "go postal" watch out. either way, if you need to send mail, and you have to go to the post office, there isn't too much of a choice as for whether or not you want to deal with these people. so, bring a gun just in case they pull one out on you first......too soon? read more

I have about had it with this post office. The mail carriers constantly deliver my neighbor's mail to our box if not that it's from two or three streets away.. I'm not receiving my mail anymore.. Even if i mention this to the carrier he'll either pretend to not hear or just shrug it off. I've went to the office and I've spoke with the supervisor twice he doesn't seem to care... He says it's either my neighbors or I'm lying about not receiving my mail... Who would lie about their mail not being received??? I'm not the only person who has this complaint, i called a few days ago and one of the post office workers told me she would pass the message on to the supervisor to call me back... Days later needless to say I'm still waiting for the call..... Obviously that should show you whether he cares of not. This is unbelievable. read more

This is by far the most incompetent post office I ever had to work with. Our business has been at the same address in a commercial business park for more than 7 years and still until today our mail gets delivered to some of our neighbors at least twice a week, and we get their mail, so I guess that evens it out? When we miss a package delivery, the carrier NEVER leaves a notice to let us know they were here. Online tracking then says that the package is held at the post office, but when we go there for pickup, the lady at the counter tells us that the carrier still has it on the vehicle. SO WHICH ONE IS IT? The website says it is held at the post office for pickup and the staff says it is not there???? And when we try to call the post office first to verify where the package is, nobody ever answers the phone - you can let it ring for hours without anyone picking up. I think they put the phone on silent at this post office. This post office is the absolute worst I have ever had to deal with from the carrier to the counter staff to the management. read more

the new mail courier assigned to deliver our mail is playing a very hot big shot ! ! ! ! ! but not a man with word of honor ! ! ! ! ! according to him. . . he is very much different from our previous service provider if he can not access the mail slot, he won't leave the mail anywhere. that is what he told me, when i finally got hold of him (followed him down the street). i told him, he can put our mails in the box that we have provided next to our ring device by our front door. but he said no ! if our previous courier does that, he won't ! he promised that he will bring our 4-days mail the following day august 11, but in vain nothing, next day august 12, still nothing, he promised tomorrow again, friday august 13 a man without a word of honor playing a very hot big shot ! read more

I have been attempting to reach someone for 4 hours and I'm put on hold then disconnects after ringing for 10 times. I am trying to stop a Fed Ex package from being delivered to the wrong address and can see that it is going to be delivered today. This PO is closer to me, but I prefer the smaller one on Bailey for those times I need to go into the building itself. The main building here can get a little crazy from 4-5PM (and almost every other time I decide to visit). I've always found the employees friendly and obliging, but the wait gets to be a little much. Though they don't lock the door on you exactly at closing, and I'm grateful for that. [I hate when, at other post offices, I'm in mid-run (to others it would look like a mid-speed walk, I guess), and I hear the lock turn in the door just as I'm about to reach for it... Even worse, the door is glass and they give you that sympathetic but disapproving look that reads, "Should've been on tiiiiime."] Highlight: drive-thru drop off boxes for mail. GRACE thank you for being rude rude rude. I rushed from work to get my passport processed arrived 327 uh closed your window at me. Told me you had no time when it says clearly you close at 330. You go on to say that the library also offers the passport service and to go there. I go and they say I need an appointment. Really bad people skills..very rude post office workers at the counter. Went here to get my passport photos but as soon as I walked up to the counter the lady proceeded to inform me that she was very hungry so she was going to take a break.. she said you need to wait 20 minutes..or maybe one of the other workers may want to take it for you but they are all busy so they might not get to you..your choice. I went to the Michigan Post Office Monday 8/24/20. Had to mail a package. Everyone was masked and the wait was less than 15 minutes. I talked to Gracie who was very efficient and helpful. Easy process and quick. The only problem was the machine would not accept my Amex card so I paid cash. Good experience. read more

My daughter sent me a Mothers Day Card priority mail with a tracking number and it said it was delivered today. I never received it. This is the worst post office ever. I received someones mail 2 days ago two blocks over and I hand delivered it myself to the correct house. I rarely complain and I have never given a single star to a business, but this is the third package that has been lost by this facility. So, in turn the one star turns into zero stars for this business. I am writing this review as I wait for a supervisor to come tell me that they can't find it in their system and will contact me if they happen to find it. This office lacks organization and courtesy. The substituting supervisor lacks the basic knowledge about acceptance of prepaid packages and such. I understand that they are lacking appropriate funds and are deeply understaffed but this isn't a way to run a business. I understand now why I stick with UPS - my packages are delivered in a timely manner and never lost in the progress. So disappointed in this Post office. I took our expensive wedding invitations to this post office to have them "hand cancelled" as told by our printer, where they are hand processed so that they are not ruined by the automated processing which will leave ink marks and/or wrinkle the envelopes. The person at the counter said that they didn't do that and that everything is automated "1000 pieces of mail a minute"...I told her that I was told to come in and specifically ask for this to be done for fear of ruining the invitations. After several minutes of her refusing to help me or even ask someone if this could be done, I left, I just got to the door when I turned around and went back in and spoke to another person at the counter and he told me that they do offer this service and that he would go talk to her and let her know and he would personally go get the invitations and take them to the back where they would later do manually. Still feeling uneasy, I left and trusted them to follow through. I asked a guest to please send me a picture of their invite and you got it....the invitation was wrinkled on the top and bottom with ink marks smeared across the top and bottom. SOOOO disappointed. I have reached my final straw with this post office! I have just filed a formal complaint, as a postal customer I deserve to have my packages and regular mail delivered without damage. My mailman has hit and moved my trashcans as well as the neighbors, on numerous occasions has given or sent my mail to the incorrect address. Arriving home today, my mail was damaged and shoved inside the mailbox folded in half. It would have taken him less than a minute to leave my package on the porch. I plan to go in person tomorrow and demand to speak to a supervisor. NO One has the right to treat people like this, if he doesn't like his job maybe he should quit!!!! read more
