He goes out of his way to help people that look like they may need a helping hand. His sense of humor and love of his job are two things I wish more employees had! The post office itself is small, but tidy. There is a container of candy for those who need a sweet treat. Customer service here is second to none. No one looks forward to going to the post office, but Joe makes it a pleasant experience. And, shipping internationally through USPS is easy, and cheaper than all the other carriers I researched.

Everything felt neglected and unsanitary. This is a busy U.S. Post Office serving the Huntington Beach community, and there is no excuse for a government facility to be kept in this condition. With so many people coming through every day, basic cleanliness should be a priority. The Warner Avenue location seriously needs a deep cleaning and much better ongoing maintenance. They are a government agency, so I know at least the higher level people who are at the top at this place won't care, though maybe some of the rank and file staff would. I just dropped off two simple letters, both containing checks that were important. The lady took them and put them on a counter behind herself, not dropping them immediately into the outgoing mail. Not knowing what to do, but also not wanting to leave with them just lying on the counter like that, I asked her about them, not really knowing what to say. She said she would put them in the outgoing mail "in a minute", in a tone that, charitably speaking, betrayed in her a busy or exasperating day. I stuck around and waited in the lobby as several others came in the line. Not really knowing what to do, I eventually came up just a bit into the room again, noticed the letters had been taken off the counter, and left. I did not seek a confrontation with her, nor did one occur, but I owed it to the people to whom the checks were addressed to make sure they got in the mail and not lost somewhere. Honestly, people at the local USPS here, you need to do better than that I just experienced. I've been going to you for years, and never seen anything like this.

There is only one person working so if there's a line I'm sure it can be a while. I've only been here once and my experience was decent. The guy was short with me and didn't really say much, but nonetheless he helped me get in and out quickly. They did have a lady off to the side sorting and labeling a cart full of packages. I was very thankful that I was helped before she got back in line. I'll continue coming back here, because it's so close to my house in Huntington Beach. I will continue to take my chances and hope there's no line. I don't think many people know about this post office because it's inside the mall.

My company mainly uses Fedex so I come here occasionally to ship stuff. Always easy and painless. Be warned if it's raining. The parking lot floods really bad making it a challenge to come here.
