I can't believe I'm leaving a review for a post office, but here goes! I don't come in here often, but when I do, Joe is behind the counter. He's always in a great mood. He goes out of his way to help people that look like they may need a helping hand. His sense of humor and love of his job are two things I wish more employees had! The post office itself is small, but tidy. There is a container of candy for those who need a sweet treat. Customer service here is second to none. No one looks forward to going to the post office, but Joe makes it a pleasant experience. If you do anything click and ship, be sure you stand in line and have them scan it because packages enter this post office, and then come back as never received. So then there's no tracking no recourse insurance don't matter you just get screwed out of What's your ship and the money you ship it. People in this community drive out of the city to avoid this post office. One of many instances I've had with them is, the person working the counter shorted me $20 when giving me my change. When I told her that I gave her a $50 (she even said when I handed it to her,"out of 50), she said I can submit a complaint in writing...AND that they only rectify the cash drawers ONCE A MONTH. First of all, there's no way to rectify a cash drawer after that long. After a month and a half, I received my $20 back. Now you know that wasn't because the drawer came up only $20 over. I don't want USPS privatized, but this is the type of office that will bring it about. read more

I dropped some mail at the post office the other day. And was very pleased to notice that USPS is keeping up with CDC requirements in cleanliness to slow or prevent the spread of this awful covid-19. Anyway, I can detect the scent of bleach cleaning products in the air. I felt at ease...knowing they are doing their job. And I also noticed the USPS employees are wearing masks. Thank you for considering yours and our health and well-being. To add: this location is pretty small compared to some other post offices, but it serves its purpose. Plenty of stamps to buy, greeting cards to purchase, a self-service kiosk for all those who prefer this, and a good area to wrap up your parcel for a send off. Be safe out there. read more

The workers here are amazing, I come all the time and I am always welcomed with a smile. They are very fast and the atmosphere is so positive. It is a great place to drop off packages because they also welcome dogs in the post office. I would definitely recommend coming here! read more

Worst customer service skills! They were mid transaction and then told me they couldn't finish my transaction because it was taking too long and they needed to help the people behind me. They should've told me before they even began the transaction so it didn't waste my time. What a freaking waste of tax dollars. I had a package that required a signature they attempted delivery once. And then made it available for pick up. I got to pick up location that is ON the ticket that was left. Then I was sent to other Garden grove post office package wasn't there either. I rescheduled pick up on line... another no show. I go back in to office and they scribble a number on a paper. Call this number and ask for supervisor I've called several times and it rings about 10 times then hangs up. THE BEST SERVICE!!! FedEx can suck it cause UPS is now my go to after this experience alone. First of I walk in and the most bubble personality says "Hi!!! welcome to UPS how can we help you!" to which I reply "I sure hope you can help me cause your boy has a problem and nobody has been able to help so far." I work with the guy up front and he helps me out, he figures it out in no time and I was on my way. Exactly what everyone needs, SERVICE that take the stress off you and you feel satisfied at the end. ahhhhhh the sweet feeling of relief my problem... I left my headphones at a airport in NY and I am now in CA. the lounge I was at said they would ship it to me no problem I just had to e-mail them a label. Try to do it online but guess what. AIRPORTS DONT HAVE FREAKING ADDRESSES. so I'm l unable to do this online cause I don't know what to put for ship from address. I call FedEx and they have no clue what to do or how to help. I go INTO FedEx and they STILL have no clue what to do but they suggest I use the self serve station for $.40 a minute???? wait pay to do something I don't know how to do? I know the post office usually gets a lot of grief but this one made my day last week. I made the stupid mistake of dropping off a pre-paid UPS label at this post office. Went back a couple of days later to see if they could tell me what would happen to it and the man working there was able to retrieve the package for me, which I was able to take over to UPS. Made my day, especially considering the package contained sentimental items that can't be replaced! read more

I have a post office box I got here a little over six months ago here and every time I've come here I've had a good experience. This post office reminds me of the show "Cheers" as they remembered me the first month I was there, therefore now 6 months later and I came to Arizona for what was supposed to be a weekend trip turned into longer as I lost my license and debit card. After a little over a week of trying to figure out how to get my mail from my PO box in GG, California, which now my new debit card and license were inside of it, I called the the GG post office and spoke to Angie whom decided to help me on her own accord. She packaged up my mail in an envelope, taped it, addressed it to general delivery here where I am now, she paid the shipping and the day after next I got my mail. I couldn't be more thankful then I am right now for her kind heart and helping me out like she did. She made it so I can go home now and not freeze another night sleeping in my car. We worked til long after closing (about 520pm) so I would also like to thank his fellow employee who had to take care of the closing duties by himself. Does anyone know if the West Garden Grove post office has stopped delivering mail on Saturdays? For several weeks we have not received or had any outgoing mail picked up on Saturdays and I was wondering if I were the only one having this issue. I know my neighbor directly beside me complained about the same issue with her meds not being delivered. I tried to complain/ask online on their website but the website will not process the complaint when you hit submit. I know this isn't the first issue we have had but not getting meds on time is a serious issue! I haven't read any mention that the Saturday delivery and pick up was not to happen anymore.....it just hasn't in a while so I am concerned. You never know these days, we are always reading about mail being dumped or left somewhere and never delivered. Anyone else having any issues?? Curious! read more

Found an office close to my work!! They're QUICK here! Viet guy wear some dope as frames. The white lady has some cool reading ones too (is my writing THAT bad?) Only gripe I have is the parking lot...wth shopping center? I gotta make too many damn u-turns to get out. Oh and also, when u use your google maps on your iphone (not sure if it does this with other phones)...it says the post office is on the edge of the shopping center. It's actually on the far side next to the bicycle shop. Better to enter through Chapman to get here. :) read more

Even when I'm out of town sometimes I remember that I have to deal with paperwork. So luckily this small post office branch was in the same mall as some of the shopping that we were already doing. They've got an automated postal center which means you don't have to deal with lines and the people associated with them. read more

I would like to give them zero stars. I made the mistake of doing business mailers myself and went to The post office for a business bulk rate. Let me just say between the fact that no one knew how to do it and the running from post office to post office it cost me more in gas then I was going to save doing a business rate. I Finally gave up and just bought the normal price stamp. And the man sold me the wrong stamp!!! Apparently he was the only one didn't know the price had changed. Wow... Nice job knowledge. Not to mention they didn't have the stamps I needed. I now have to put 300 1 cent stamps on my mailers!!!!! No wonder the post office is going broke! Went to pick up priority boxes for shipping. Both self serve areas in the lobby were empty, as in no products in sight. No boxes, no certified forms, no insurance forms, nothing. Completely empty! After waiting in line for 10 mins, I was told they didn't have any boxes in stock and the employee in generic T-shirt told me "management doesn't listen to me and doesn't care to get any boxes in stock". He said "management" was the only ones who could order boxes. Management? I think he means mis-management. So glad my tax dollars are directly paying for this lack of service by government employees. read more

Terrible fucking Post Office. It's a dirty run down facility with lots of non-English speakers which makes trying to get any info on the phone fun, and that's if they even ever answer the phone. We've called dozens of times in a single day and no one ever picks up... Our mail carrier is lazy and lies his ass off. He always delivers our packages 2-3 days after web status says out for delivery. He constantly claims the business is closed when he tries to deliver. I guess if you get around to coming by after 7:30 at night, most places are going to be closed... He's not coming by, our facility is open 24 hours/day and no one has ever seen him trying to deliver. We've actually seen him parked in the shade around the corner sleeping at random times while on our lunch break or during random times of the day. He claims he leaves non-delivery notices, but we've never once ever seen one, not a single one! Our tax dollars at work I suppose. And if you see all the bureaucracy and red tape you have to go through to file a complaint, it's not even worth it. This is a great neighborhood little post office. I love seeing the clerks and I take great satisfaction with their customer service skills. If one could overlook the outdated crampy small area of this mini post office and the growing items of bulky items behind them, then you could rest assure that your delivery is going into good trustworthy hands. My husband and I have never had a bad experience. Sure I could use their quick self serve machine to the left as one enters, but I like knowing that my packages are going into good hands, so yes, I'll get in line with my patience and relax while waiting my turn. read more

My last visit with this post office sent a priority mail package with things my daughter needed on a 2 week hunt because the clerk typed in the wrong street address and zip code. I needed up filing a case for it , had to pay another $14.50 to intercept the package and 10 days later I have the package. The main post office told me that once the package was received to go to them and they would assist me. They also said to let the manager at this office know of the problem. So I did.but there is no manager there any more just a lead . When I told the lead about the problem and that I won't be using this office in the future , he said fine,they've pulled my help from here and the mail takes a long time to get sorted. Soo sad! Another package I sent through this office to Oregon needed up in Puerto Rico, finally received 2 weeks later . Ugh, also we frequently get mail delivered to our house from other neighbors. So frustrated, will not use this office for mail any more. read more

If I have the option to do 0 star, I would. The manager, Joe, was totally unprofessional. Oh well, he is also the manager there. His language use towards a customer is unexpectedly very rule and self-centered. Not to mention this is a public service agency, I can't believe a manager in general would talk to customer using phrases like " I am the boss here, now understand my English." This place is horrible! Lomi checked me out and was ice cold! Not friendly at all. I had to ship a package and didn't have clear tape to tape up the box so I had to buy my own roll for $3.49. Like seriously?? You're a post office you should have tape. This is why private companies will always be better than USPS, because their main focus is on customer service and customer retention.
