Today my friends needed to run a quick little errand of mailing some items in a flat rate shipping box, home to Alaska. In preparation of this task, we did have packing tape with us however, this Post Office sells packing tape and other supplies, bubble wrap, boxes if you don't want to use flat rate shipping boxes. The Post Office doesn't supply packing tape to assemble boxes. You have to buy the tape or have it on hand. We were in and out of the post office very quickly mission accomplished. Facility was clean, lots of supplies on hand and it met our needs. Sometimes when I go to my local post office they're out of stock on certain size boxes. Today was a good trip. read more

Post office Remember the post office has got several handicaps for staffing. All of the post offices managers and supervisors get bonuses if they cut back the number of hours that their frontline employees are working and get additional bonuses if the number of overtime hours are under their allocation. So if you have to stand along the line sometime remember it's not the front line people that are causing the problem. From the postmaster general to all supervisors get bonuses and perks. The other handicap has been handed them by a federal law that says that they must pay for their retirement costs including retirement health care in advance. So this makes them lose money every year. The eventual goal is to try to privatize the post office and sell off the most profitable part of it to corporate cronies. So you should know those couple of facts before you really give and evaluation however having said that this particular post office is a really clean modern place with great customer service. They have the typical things that were post offices have I also have a nice selection of little bigger boxes that you can buy and they have a really nice big card selection for that one card that you might need. read more

My elderly mother visited this location today and was ridiculed, rushed and made to feel terrible by the male workers there. One man exclaimed while helping her, "Is this actually happening right now?" And laughed at her because she didn't have some form filled out prior to approaching the counter. She asked if he was always this rude to customers and he said, "Only on Thursdays". He continued ridiculing and treating her terribly until she spoke to a manager in tears, at which point the employee said, "I guess I'm going to prison!" As a government institution, I find it hard to reconcile that this behavior would be tolerated in an employee. What kind of a man bullies an elderly woman? Despicable. read more

I moved Four miles away 2 months ago and it like I moved thousands of miles. I deaf so my son has to help me. Filled out numerous forms of change address, confirming forms, and in line yet, still in Not getting mail. My son and I went to the post office several times to complain. The first time we complained, the letter carrier was holding our mail in the old address Mail box. They brought the mail to this post office. We are still Missing checks and important mail that needed to be responded to right away. Went back again to complain and they told us another 10-14 business days since mail went back to Phoenix. Waited a couple of weeks, still no mail being forwarded. Went back again and asked for the Post Master. They told us he's gone for thee day. This was about 11:00. Asked for the Supervisor and he took about 15 minutes to come out listen to what my son was saying then said he'll be right back. Another 15 minutes later, he comes back and said everything looks good in the system, don't know why your not getting mail. I said there's something wrong then, someone's got my mail. Very important things are missing. He goes let me call the carrier. Disappears again! The letter carrier said things were delivered, I said yes, junk mail flyers. I've only got new address items nothing that was forwarded. He had no expectations. Horrible!!! Only Four Miles and they Can't get it right. read more

Until recently, mail delivery has been very good. Within the last month, a trend has started where a mail carrier leaves packages on the ground at the end of the driveway, out in the open and easy for a passerby to take. Most recently this happened was Thursday, June 15. This has included prescription medications and other packages. Other folks in our Suffolk Hills neighborhood have stated the same; that the carrier leaves packages at the curb. read more

I never have high hopes for post offices. It's a necessary evil but sometimes there's cute stamps or stationary materials I can look at while inevitably standing in line for longer than feels like is required for the simple tasks unfolding at the counter. I have had what I would categorize as good customer service the times I have used this branch. The staff is friendly and quick while addressing things like tracking numbers and guaranteed delivery times without feeling like one big up-sell. I was pointed to both various holiday stamps but also directed to what I might enjoy in the pop culture/honorary stamps. Would I maybe enjoy Wonder Woman stamps? Um, would I indeed. Moderated expectations might be the order of the day with USPS but here I can at least be greeted with cordiality. read more

Tucson's always been a top retirement destination in the US, and after visiting this branch, I now know why - time stands still at the this postal outlet on Oracle. So, even though you've just wasted 40+ minutes of your asthmatic, diabetic, cholesterol-ridden, bone-degenerating life standing in line on a Saturday afternoon while only two postal workers work at the speed of snails mired in diarrahretic elephant turd, you'll feel like time stood still...because you've been standing at the same spot,while looking for a ballpoint pen...a pencil...a bird feather dipped in ink...or any writing instrument, which doesn't exist at this branch. You know those mystery vendors on Amazon who sell used books, CDs and god knows what other crap we buy in bulk quantities then regret? The slowest ones ship their products from this branch of the USPS. As I watched a slow-moving freight train of a lady send out over a dozen assorted small boxes using the automated kiosk, I vowed never again to buy used crap from Amazon, as it would save a poor soul from developing hypertension after waiting 20 minutes, then discovering she couldn't send her parcel from an automated kiosk anyways, because the kiosk doesn't accept International Flat Rate parcels. Not using an automated kiosk means dealing with one of the USPS reps at the counter, who possesses the bubbly personality of a bottle of RC Cola that's been opened for over a week. Not finding an appropriate pen meant I had to use my crappy fountain pen, which was on its last legs, and for all I know, my International Express parcel to Hong Kong is now on its happy way to Mozambique. Very good customer service. Sometimes there are long lines depending on what time of day you go. The last few times I went during holiday season, they had a person who goes along down the line and answers questions about different types of shipping, postage costs, and helps make sure you have what you need when it is your turn to go to a cashier. I think that really streamlined the process. She even offered to retrieve the held mail for people who were just waiting to pick up their mail. :) read more

If you want to deal with people who don't look at you when you are speaking to them, blow you off if you ask a question, won't give you a straight answer on expected delivery times, and generally wander around and do their jobs as slow as possible and with little to no effort, even when there is a huge line, this would be the place for you. They literally waste customers time while being incredibly rude. There are only perhaps two employees in the earlier parts of the days that aren't awful. It's probably worth the extra drive to go to a different post office. read more

I guess I left my last review for the wrong usps...? Anyway, sorry! This one on ORACLE, casas adobes branch, is great! It's super cold which I'm sure is great for summer but chilly for me right now! Organized, big, friendly service! Also today is customer appreciation day so they have water coffee juice and some snacks. It's clean inside an out and quite pretty! Quick service and kindly told me that next time I need to mail my package in a bigger one because it needs to be big enough for the stickers they put on it. Thank you for not turning away and politely educating me on the finer details of mail, some things I think the general population might not know because we don't mail stuff that often....thanks! Who actually reads reviews of post offices, I'd like to know! But, here it is... a review of the Casas Adobes PO, which really represents the "interaction" I had today! A dark-haired glass-ed man waited on me and just wasn't very helpful or With-It! After slightly messing up on my stamp request, things went downhill from there. I had a second request that he interrupted by exchanging a $20 bill with his neighbor -- no Excuse Me or context for the transaction. I had a transaction (Informed Delivery) that needed to be completed using my smart phone. He fumbled around indicating that a computer wouldn't work and then just left it to me to figure out the next step. He finally said we'd have to wait. After a minute or so, I asked him "Are we waiting for a computer to come up, or what?" He was just standing there! No, we have to wait for the computer -- From Where? I said "You just weren't clear as to what was going on!" No, he said "You weren't listening!" Two minutes later as I fumed and the line got longer, and there was no sign of the what was to come, we left. Next time, we will skip that PO and go to another. You know, there are lots of great customer service people who would do tons better than this person. He'll be out on the street soon, I can assure you -- so, check in if you need a job! NEXT DAY (TODAY): Went to Thornydale PO. Newer employee who had manners, customer service, and With-It attitude. He didn't know quite what to do but he kept me up on his trail to a supervisor and back! Wow, someone with a brain and a heart. Task done in less than 3 minutes! Granted, when I arrived at this post office, there were no long lines. However, I found the staff to be efficient and FAST. I, and several other customers, were ferried quickly through the line. Staff were friendly. Very happy with my experience here. read more
