Shout out the the post office employee who handed me my friends ashes. I was a sobbing mess, and the gentle man at the counter was so kind, and patient. The line moved smoothly, and the counters were clean. I don't go to the post office often, and this trip was difficult, as I was picking up the ashes of my friend who died from ALS. She donated her body to research, and I was picking up her ashes after they were done....to take her home. Again, the clerk was so patient and kind. This was a Saturday, November 22nd. The USPS Customer Service opened a Service request #81753506, attached the tracking number and forwarded it to the Mountain View Station. We received an email on Sept. 10, 2025 stating they were investigating the request and on Sept 12, 2025 we received an email stating that the case was closed. There was no interaction between them and ourselves between these two emails. We phoned the station 6 times and the calls were never answered. This is extremely POOR service. read more

Remember the post office has got several handicaps for staffing. All of the post offices managers and supervisors get bonuses if they cut back the number of hours that their frontline employees are working and get additional bonuses if the number of overtime hours are under their allocation. So if you have to stand along the line sometime remember it's not the front line people that are causing the problem. From the postmaster general to all supervisors get bonuses and perks. The other handicap has been handed them by a federal law that says that they must pay for their retirement costs including retirement health care in advance. So this makes them lose money every year. The eventual goal is to try to privatize the post office and sell off the most profitable part of it to corporate cronies. So you should know those couple of facts before you really give and evaluation however having said that this particular post office is a really clean modern place with great customer service. They have the typical things that were post offices have I also have a nice selection of little bigger boxes that you can buy and they have a really nice big card selection for that one card that you might need. In the 5 times I have come to pick up a package that was unable to be delivered it has never went smoothly. Last time they couldn't find it and it took 25 minutes to locate it. Today I got here at 8:30 and no one answered the pick up door after being rang 5 times until 9 am, Finally went to service counter only to be told to go back at wait at the dutch door. Finally left at 9:10 package in hand. Not sure why picking up packages is so difficult at this location but it just seems its run so poorly. The door bell is loud that "rings" so everyone in the whole post office can hear it. One person should be assigned to keep and eye on the pick up. Not sure why this is so difficult. The manager finally helped and opened the "dutch door" after 30 minutes and me complaining. I have never had a post office that has run this poorly ever. Should not take 40 minutes to pick up a package ever. read more

Tina, the supervisor, was extremely unhelpful, and called me a liar. She said they don't provide a service that they provided for me this same exact day, and nearly every time I come in and ship. Wouldn't help me find a receipt, or really help me do anything. Really a bad experience with her. I drive the extra mile just to go to the post office. Has some of he best staffing. Although they are overwhelmed at times they do there best to try and keep the line moving. If you have an issue and you already waited they'll let you go back to front once you are done fixing whatever issue you had. Most get frustrated with the line if it's a longer just keep in mind they usually are short staffed and be patient. Pro tip lunch time usually is the busiest so if you want to avoid it try going early morning. read more

Worst post office around. Very poor management. Stood in line of 20 people for 50 minutes to mail a handful of envelopes. That's 50 minutes of my life I will never get back. There was only one person working behind the counter. The line grew to a total of 31 at its largest. Crazy! Once I got to the desk the staff was friendly and apologetic. It's not their fault, it is clearly horrendous management! Whoever runs this Post Office should be removed ASAP! Their were many elderly band handicapped people having to wait in this ridiculous long and slow as molasses line. It was 1pm on a Tuesday. I believe there should never be less than two people working behind the desk at any time. If it's slow maybe one of them could go and do something else until it get busy again. Went down to this post office, because an item that was supposed to be in one of the lockboxes was not there. Spoke to the manager who was able to get a hold of the postal worker that worked in our ZIP Code and was still out of the road and would go back to the mailboxes.. just as we were coming home, they pulled up, and the lady opened up all the boxes, and she had miss placed the item in another box than what the key went to. She said she was very sorry, but we told her is all right. We were just happy that she was able to come back out. About 30 minutes later after we got home, we got a phone call from the manager on duty at this post office asking if everything got taken care of. The 800 number posted doesn't work and is a National number that has you running in circles. The local number that needs to be posted on Apple and here is 520.744.6720. They won't answer the phone, so you may have to try a few times like I did. The deal they have with Amazon is not working, this location is poorly run and I've had issues here the last 17 years. This is the worst post office I have ever had in my entire life. They NEVER (and I mean NEVER) answer the phone. We have our postal carrier on surveillance footage on numerous occasions slapping stickers on our OUTSIDE COURTYARD gate, not delivering our mail, or even attempting to see if anyone is home. This post office employs the laziest people on the planet. None of them care about the job they do. The office is completely mismanaged and mostly nasty to deal with. And did I mention that THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE! So, if you have a problem, you must get in your car and drive to the post office. The issue will still not be resolved, but no one cares about it at the post office either. The only way to get ANY response from this post office is to file a formal complaint, get a confirmation number, and request a callback. It is pretty awful that customers must jump through all those hoops to get a mail carrier to do their job! Ridiculous! read more

Lost two of my packages in the same week. They never answer the phone. Finally I had enough went and spoke with the supervisor. Said the carrier would come back later that day and place my package at my door or box. They never came and both packages are missing. This is becoming absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully this issue is goings towards a claim of fraudulent delivery against the carrier and hopefully the Post Master / District / Washington will read this and actions will be taken seriously. i LOVE this location! They have always been great. We moved near here about three years ago and every time I have been here I am glad to wait in the line when there is one. Everyone has always ben cheerful, helpful and has great customer service. Even when they are busy and you can tell they are stressed out. They have a little lobby that is always open and you can use the self service kiosk for lots of things as well! read more

Zero Star review! Carrier doesn't leave 3849 Redelivery Notice in box , no key in box , no package. Package says delivered in mail box. Post office never answers phone. After hours of calling they finally picked up. Will be making a formal complaint thru c360 Monday. Lost 2 packages in same week different days. Carrier has a job whether its their normal route or not. No excuses! This will not be swept under the rug. Its costing my time and money. I have called 13 times and no answer! I was waiting for a package. I have 2 cameras on the front of my house. No delivery,but post offices says package was sent back to post office. Mail person did not I repeat did not come to my door!! We have had to get knives to try and remove packages from mail box. I had to go here to get my identity verified so I could sign up for Informed Delivery. I tried answering the questions online to get verified to no avail. I stood in line for a few minutes and a very helpful gentleman suddenly appeared and took me to his magical podium, verified my identity and I was out the door in a few minutes. I can now see what I'm receiving in the mail each day before it arrives in my mailbox. Great service...I'm not sure why but I like it! read more

i had a package that was out for delivery, it didn't come within the time zone so i checked online to track it, and it said that it was now being held at the post office because i requested it to be held there. I NEVER EVER REQUESTED IT. it was there was an attempt to deliver, but i was home all day and there was no knock, no ring, NOTHING. so i went to the post office, and they told me it was not there yet and the driver falsely stamped it. so they told me to come back at 5 and the driver will be back with my package. so i came back at 5 and NOT A SINGLE SOUL was there to help me. read more

I placed mail hold from 7/9-24/20 because I was out of town. I had 2 packages that were to be delivered within that time frame, both tracking numbers show delivered to mailbox. I never got them. They should never had been delivered to my mailbox as the mail was on hold. Have spoken to 3 different managers who stated they are checking with the carrier. I even spoke to the carrier myself on 7/24/20 about them and he said he didn't have them. He told the one manager he remembers where he delivered them at, I suspect he is lying and he delivered them to a rural mailbox and they were stolen. His manager also said the carrier was aware they should never have left the office until the mail hold was up and ready for delivery. Just tell me how to file a claim so I can get reimbursed. Oh and the packages were birthday presents. USPS used to be a great service back when they actually had to take civil service exams and have a background check. I tried calling today to find out how to submit a claim and in 20 calls throughout the day I get "the number you called is busy please try again later." read more

They have different rules every time you go in the manager request to see your ID if you have a package that needs to be picked up but the old white dude said that you don't need your ID at all as long as it doesn't require a signature. they all act like they hate their job and don't want to be there, NONE of them are the slightest of friendly except for the older dude. Horrible, rude staff. Without any notice, they install new post office boxes in our neighborhood. I go out to get my mail and finally see the sign ON THE BACK of the mailbox not the front where you put your key in and it says we have to pick up our mail at Thornydale and hopefully, you'll get your new key by Monday???? Those boxes should have been assigned an address with the key waiting at the PO Box ahead of time so they'd be ready when we pick up our mail. The worst part was when I tried to ask David, the clerk, about how all this was supposed to work and yes, I was upset....I had time-sensitive materials that I needed and honestly, I have not had a good experience with this post office....unable to put a hold on mail properly, delivering mail that was supposed to be held, etc etc. So pardon me if I don't have much faith in this place and now, I'm going to have to wait and hope that we all get the correct keys to the correct address. Instead of apologizing and recognizing how frustrating this was for me he told me "You're being obnoxious!" Unacceptable... I had a valid complaint. And let's not mention how they took the phone off the hook and weren't answering either number that we were instructed to call with questions. read more

They refuse to deliver any items that won't fit in my tiny mailbox to my door because they're too lazy to walk it up (they've refused 4 items in the past month). I pay for amazon prime, but when they delivery my amazon items they always refuse to bring it to my door and tell me to come pick it up instead. When i get in contact with the usps customer service line, they always apologize and reassure me that my items should be delivered to my door if they don't fit in my mailbox, but then I get a call back later from the Mountain View usps and they tell me that they will not deliver to doors. Not that it matters because they should be delivering to doors like every other carrier is, but I do have medical problems that make it difficult for me to go out and pick up items, hence why I order things online in the first place. Their excuse is that they won't deliver to doors because "covid", but they don't have to come into contact with anyone in order to leave it at my door. If you're not going to fulfill your delivery service, then please stop accepting amazon deliveries. read more

I sold some coins online and printed out the tracking information and mailing label. I paid for Priority Mail 2 day delivery and then some extra to get a signature from the person receiving delivery. I dropped the envelope into the receptacle inside the post office two days ago and the online tracking number is indicating that the Post Office has not received the envelope yet. I spoke to two post office employees in person and was told that some of their scanners are broken and that the envelope might be delivered anyway. Not sure now if it was lost, stolen or if it will turn up eventually. I won't ever drop postage paid item with a tracking number at the post office again unless I get a receipt for it first from a postal clerk. read more

Over the holidays, my husband and I only ordered 2 things online for delivery through the P.O.. BOTH items were delivered to the WRONG address. We made 5 separate trips to the post office trying to track our packages, which were gifts for family members, and each time we were given a contradictory story. The 4 th and 5 th visit, we asked to speak to a manager. When the employee went to ask Steve the manager on duty to come speak with us, he returned saying that Steve Didn't want to come up. How unprofessional! Prior to the holidays, and as recently as TODAY, our mail is CONSISTENTLY delivered to the wrong address. Today, our office manager at the apartment complex had to hand deliver my W2 which had been delivered to the WRONG apartment. To this day, we haven't received the packages that THEY lost, worth $300 combined. This is so beyond unacceptable, but I guess you can't expect much from a government run service. read more
