It's got to be difficult to be patient when there are always grumpy people coming for help, but they've always been polite. The carrier that delivers our mail to our home is fantastic. He has gone above and beyond his duty to help us out a few times. While we wish him all the best, we are sad that he's decided to retire. Each customer interaction follows the same pattern: the manager listens briefly, then closes the door while going to locate the package. During this time, the customer being helped must wait, and the process repeats for each person. This suggests that packages may not be organized for efficient retrieval. During one visit, I waited behind three customers, and the process took about 20 minutes wait time, 10 minutes being waited upon. Yesterday (12/15/2025), I received a pickup slip but chose not to wait in line, leaving the slip for another day because of the anticipated 20-30 minute delay. Previously (over a year ago), package pickups were handled in the main post office area, alongside services such as purchasing stamps and mailing parcels. That system was faster and gave priority to customers collecting packages. The current arrangement at this location results in longer wait times and reduced efficiency.

Yay!)-- was immediate snapped at and finger pointed back out the door to sign in on a clipboard. Whoops! Ok... no way of knowing that, but nbd. So I signed in and came back in to sit and wait. Was again snapped out to go wait outside. There weren't any seats and my leg is injured, so I asked if I could sit on the bench. I got a big, impatient NO! And was pointed back out the door. I was honestly very put off by my first impression, but once they called me in for my turn, I felt like they were very friendly and helpful. It turns out the inside is really sensitive area because of the info being processed-- so they don't want anyone waiting in there-- but there's really not any kind of signage clarifying that, so all day they are having to redirect people out of the room. That would be exhausting for anyone! So for anyone planning to visit-- don't let the awkwardness of the check in process throw you. Once they are helping you, they are quite friendly! Maybe just hearing that ahead of time will save someone else from getting upset.

We left a scannable package in the outside box and it did not get scanned when the box was emptied. However, when we went back today to make sure it had actually gotten picked up from the box, the staff person was very friendly and helpful. So, we drove to pick up our mail today as soon as we made it back from vacation and guess what, our mail was delivered to our house... We wouldn't worry so much about it, but Tucson's Finest (definitely sarcasm) likes to steal mail which is why we elected to have USPS hold our mail and for us to pick it up. The clerk at the post office didn't seem to care that directions hadn't been followed or if our mail had been stolen or not. Awesome, right?
