We setup a date for a package to be delivered because you delivered it to the wrong address in the first place now whom ever has decided you don't feel like delivering it so I have to go to the post office in 2 days to pick it up. I've had really great service at this post office. Granted, at times the lines are long and I can hear those in a hurry say "This is ridiculous." I say, always budget time for long lines at post office and DMV. On multiple visits, this location has a worker going through the line and answering questions/giving advice to make sure by the time you get to the desk things go smoothly and as quickly as possible. I appreciated the extra tips for ensuring correct payment for an expedited passport (I thought I had to pay less, and wouldn't have received my passport on time if I had been left to my own research). read more

It seems as if this post office only has older, aging individuals working here. There's always no more than 2 workers at the front desk helping send out packages and they're extremely slow so your wait will take a while. Thank goodness for the kiosk in the lobby where you can send out your own packages and pay with your debit card. It's very time saving and efficient. All in all, this place needs more fast and friendly workers to help the customers. read more

I don't like having to drive across town to go to the post office. Not too many reasons for me to go downtown anymore. However. this post office is small and the lines do get long. I cope with it because I have to. I wish they would build a new one on the west side of Tracy, next to the DMV or somewhere there is more room to park. read more

I have lived here for 20 years and have had a constant problem with deliveries. They will not deliver my mail so I had to register in Livermore. They will deliver, but I must drive 5 miles to get it. Tracy Post Office do not recognize that I exist. I don't know what happened to Rural Farm Delivery, but since FedEx and UPS started using Smart Post and Sure Post, All my orders that use it get returned. There is no one to talk to about this that I have found. They do not answer their phone and the Post Master does not seem to exist. I certainly do not know what to do. Although I live in the Tracy area, they tell everyone that my address does not exist. Wrong! read more

Every since 2 ladies retired last year the service sucks. They're loud when doing transactions so everyone in the post office knows what your doing at the window, if use to be quite and nice, now it's gone to shit. I hate going there and to Livermore p.o. but the one in tracy is horrible. The new ppl dont have customer service skills at all. I say it should Close. read more

They can get pretty busy, so the only advise I can give for that is to be patient or arrive early. The staff is really friendly. I've gone here a handful of times and had no problems. The staff does really well in assisting people who need help. They have a good attitude and aren't inpatient with helping customers. I usually print postage and do everything online, but I do like to have the packages scanned just for my reassurance. You can find the Dropbox by the entrance and also around the back of the building. If the line is long, there's usually a worker walking down the line to help the customers waiting. read more

In past two weeks, my packages have either been lost, damaged or received open. Tracking # says, it was delivered, but so far no package, no delivery. No one at the post office picks up the phone. Another box was ripped open and I know for a fact, that it was delivered that way, it wasn't damaged during shipment or touched by anyone at the front door. This morning another package and this one was inside my mailbox, was received damaged. It appears as if someone tried to open it with some sort of scissors or screw driver. Inside content ( a top) is damaged. Not sure what to do about this. Macy's or amazon don't ship packages like this, so it has to folks at the post office or mail carrier. Packages delivered by carriers other than USPS are always delivered intact. read more

The people in this office are rude, incompetent, unprofessional. I submitted my change of address 5 month ago and still have not received any of my mails. Any time i call which i have a hard time to get through, all i get is a promise that they will fix the problem. They don't even have a postmaster to complain to resolve your problem. read more

The ladies are rude and incompetent. The mail carriers have lost several of my packages. I'm still waiting to receive a package that I was supposed to get two days ago!!!! The ONE time the phone actually rang, NO ONE answered! And I let it ring and ring! All the other calls I placed were to no avail as the phone line was ALWAYS BUSY! I just tried again, on another day now, and get the same results! BUSY!!! Something is very wrong! Someone must be taking the phone off of the hook! If they don't want to receive phone calls then they should remove their number! As far as phone service, I wouldn't even give it one star but didn't have a choice. read more

They never answer their phone! I have tried repeatedly in the past to call them, and they never answer the phone. And yes, I have the right number because a postal employee called me once. I had a question to ask that would have taken them about 30 seconds to answer. And yes, they were open every time I have tried to call, when every time they failed to answer their phone. Very poor service when a business, particularly a government business, cannot answer their phone. It's no wonder they lose a lot of business to UPS and FEDEX! read more

Today's review is for their passport sevices- I have been trying to get an appointment all week for a renewal, which must be done in person. I have waited for a call back using that prompt on the call in option, no one called back & sat have on hold for over an hour and no one ever picked up- but I can recite their recording in my sleep. I went in person hoping they could either fit me in or give me an appointment. They were so rude and told me my only option was to call in for an appointment...and I'd just have to wait...they thought I could get an appointment next month...grrr. I am now heading to the Manteca Post Office because they answered on the first ring & told me they'd fit me in, today if I could drive over now...guess who is going to get a great Yelp review next! read more

The U.S. Post Office on 9th St has really been trying to speed the flow of customers to the counter. They've added a "floater" who greets you and helps you with the type of shipment(s) you have. When we first moved to Tracy the time it took to get to the counter was atrocious. I would have given 5 stars but occasionally the lines are long and it takes some time to be helped. Overall the service of this postal location is good+. read more

I have had several missing packages in the past and recently several packages that were not scanned in using the in store drop bin and handing packages to employees through the window. This meaning no tracking or proof of a drop off. Always get a receipt even on pre-paid labels. The response from management on this matter was disturbing and unprofessional. Red flags were raised...if anyone has encountered missing parcels from the 9th St. USPS in Tracy CA, I would look into the matter further and file a complaint. read more

Well this is the one and only Post Office that I am aware of in a City of over 80,000 residents. Again, City Council. Service is blah. But it's better than at your residence. I collect my mail throughout my neighborhood and deliver it throughout as well. And hey, I don't get paid for doing it. I usually get poor to average customer service here. But since moving to Tracy a year ago, I'm finding that poor customer service is typical here. I came last week & ended up not being able to mail my package. The worker told me that my label was loose on the side. I asked her if she could use her tape to lay down the edge, she said no & advised me that they sell (overpriced) packing tape. I declined. So, the next day I took my package to my normal USPS in Pleasanton (work in the area). Not only was the label not a problem, but the worker there gave me a receipt for mailing my package. He then placed my package in the back area in a bin for outgoing mail. I didn't even know that getting a receipt was an option. I've taken these prepaid return labeled packages to the Tracy location several times & I've never been given a receipt. And when I give the Tracy workers my packages, they just place them on the empty counter next to them. I'm not coming here anymore unless I need something urgent that can't wait for me to go to another location. read more

I go here on rare occasion. I never know how I should send stuff (what to pack it in, etc) so I just ask the staff and they don't treat me like I'm dumb for not knowing, which I appreciate. They're always really nice and helpful. I used to not like going, but I don't mind anymore at all. :) Oh, and I came in today (technically yesterday, it's past midnight) a little after 3 and the line wasn't bad. My experience with this post office has been drastically different every time i go. I had to go in when my wedding invitations needed extra postage because they were large. The lady behind the counter told me that she would call them a "parcel" and that they would be an EXTRA $2.06 per envelope! First of all that is insane! So I took them home to try and figure out how to pay for it. A few weeks later I brought them in and a different lady helped me. She said that she could send them as a large envelope and it would only be 66 cents extra an envelope. Now that is acceptable. So i paid and sent the envelopes out and they all made it to their destination unharmed. So obviously the $2 extra was complete bull. Throughout the next couple of weeks I added a few more guests so I went back two more times and sent out my invites with the same result. The fourth and last time i went in, I only had one envelope. The lady behind the counter (the first lady I dealt with) told me she was going to charge me $2 again! when I said then how come my other invites only cost 66 cents and they all made it just fine she told me "well i will sell it to you but I won't take it. Its your problem to drop it in the outgoing and we will see what happens." Well at this point I can't help but think this lady is rude! I can't believe the difference in price and how rude the lady was. If you ever go there to send something avoid the lady with the short brown hair because she gets a kick out of dictating what she thinks is the appropriate price when clearly something less than half the price will suffice. read more
