I wish there was an option to give zero stars, but there isn't, so one it is..... This review relates to my most recent issue, but, over the years, there's been many, many more. 9 out of 10 times, when we go on vacation and request a vacation hold, we end up having to go to this desolate outpost of humanity and line up like folks at a soup kitchen to be greeted by a sour face and slow service as they have failed, yet again to deliver the accumulated mail.....This time was no exception... I checked the mailbox on 12/31/25 only to find a "we need a signature" form in there along with my regular mail, we had been out, so not an issue. Came home, fired up the old PC and made my way to the appropriate section of the USPS website to arrange re-delivery....When complete, I received a lovely automated reply with a conformation number and tracking number along with a delivery date of 1/2/26....so we wait..... All day Friday I sat here....waiting patiently...gradually getting more annoyed...still no delivery...I checked our doorbell was working....it was....I even put a note on the door saying, please knock if you don't hear bell (It's loud....and we have dogs too)...Needless to say....6pm came and went....No delivery....and the USPS customer service department is now closed. Saturday 1/2/26 I call the customer service folks, they are VERY pleasant and helpful, I went through the whole story and she assures me someone will call me. So I wait......a couple of hours pass and lo and behold, and actual call from the Annex!! She tells me it's there and they were going to retry the delivery Monday as they hadn't heard anything....I told her I would come get it..... I jump in the car and make my way across town, line up along with the other unfortunate souls and get my mail finally. When we 1st moved to Mountain house in 2011, the mail service was pretty good. We didn't get any misdelivered mail & we received our weekly magazines on time. But now I've noticed as Mountain House has continued to build more & more new homes the mail service has become a hot mess. My billing statements are delivered late, 1 before they are due, the delivery of my People Magazine that I paid a lot of money for is spotty at best. And mail is misdelivered to my neighbor's homes, & theirs to my home! something needs to be done about this, some type of change is needed here...Either Mountain House needs to build us a bigger USPS office with more people working or stop building new homes. It wasn't as bad as everyone else's comment mentions I showed up early to pick up my package I was 3rd in line and the person at the front was already complaining about how hot it is lol don't be in line in the sun if you can't wait a couple minutes they opened up at 10:05am I wasn't tripping but the person in front was the person who opened could of said good morning but didn't overall I got my package in a nice and professional manner the counter person could be a little more happier but besides that I got my package fast and easy could of gotten 5 starts if they opened on time lol that is all read more

I dread when I see something I ordered has a USPS tracking number. I have been at this address for 13 years and only one package was delivered without a problem. Every other package was marked "delivered" and lost or marked "could not deliver business closed" this is a 24/7/365 business we never close. FedEx and UPS very rarely have an issue delivering here. read more

I scheduled a package pick-up that needed to be picked up to get a client on time. My Ring camera shows the USPS truck park right in front of my house and then they drove off!!! I rarely leave a bad rating because I like to remain positive with my comments but I had a horrible experience at this post office. I went to go pick up my overflow mail and the guy at the front desk had poor customer service. I asked if they had a working number because I called the day before several times to ask for clarification but there was no answer. I called the number while I was in there and it just rang on silent. I told him that if they planned to answer calls they should turn the volume up so they could hear. His reply "yea we need a secretary". I then said it would make sense if you answered the phone because you are right next to it as it rings. I asked for his name but he refused to give it. I live in MH I've paid for overnight delivery multiple times and they never follow through. I end up having to pick them up my self days later. I've been on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone for 28 mins, so much til I was on hold as I DROVE TO THIS LOCATION. Downgraded because they suck. Following my previous review of moving into our new house and having problems getting our mail we are still being messed around. Because for some reason they are unable to assign us a mailbox I asked that if we purchased our own mailbox and put it in our yard could they deliver to that but were told no.. I really don't understand why not. We've been given numerous excuses as to why they cannot assign us a mailbox as yet. They are as follows: #1 - There is no mailbox for our street yet. This is a lie, there is actually 2, one at each end of the row of houses. #2 - Due to the road construction is it unsafe to deliver. The only construction going on is that of the houses set back from the road. The road itself is perfectly safe and has been for many years now. We actually live directly opposite an elementary school of which the entrance is just 25 feet from our front door. They seem to have no issue delivering mail there. #3 - Shea Homes (the construction company for the area in which we live) have not given them the keys for the communal mailbox. It's nice that they now acknowledge there is a mailbox for our street but this is another lie. Shea homes informed my Husband that they have provided them with keys and even went out of their way to go through their records and find out exactly when those keys were given. Date given: December 3rd 2012!! Which, 6 weeks after moving into our new house still leaves us going to this office 2 times a week to get our mail. Despite it being a 20 mile round trip I don't mind it so much, it gives me a good chance to get in extra Cardio and Cycle. What I do mind is when I get there them lying to me and saying there is no mail for me. I have caught them out a couple of times now, tracking numbers are a wonderful thing. If you want your package lost/stolen but allegedly delivered to your mailbox multiple times look no further. This place has done the above, always receive mail super late never deliver anything on time always a day or two late. The supervisors are just like the employees at being useless and not communicating back about lost packages. Open from 10-4PM weekdays and even shorter 10-2PM on Saturdays. Ughhh. They attempted to deliver a certified mail once and then left a note to pick up. They should shift the hours so people can either pick up mail early in the morning or late at night. Most of us work during the day, and in many cases with Tracy residents, work in the Bay Area. No one has time to take the day off just to get the stupid mail. These people put banking hours to shame. By far this is the most ghetto post office I have ever been to. You have grown adults working here acting like it is their first customer service job they have had. They need to shut down this location as it is archaic and outdated with technology. There is limited parking , you literally have to ring the bell for an hour to get someone that values and is grateful of their job to actually go to the front and attend customers. Management...? I had 5 packages that was to be delivered last September 2, 2020. Two of them are small enough to fit the mail box but 3 of them are big. I have a video of the mailman only living 2 packages in front of my porch but he reported that all my package was delivered. He even put a note that he handed the package to an individual when the truth is he left the packages on the floor without even ringing the doorbell. I tried calling within their business hours but its either just ringing or just picking up and quickly hanging up. I will pay them a visit and see what they did with my package. Lost our mail box key so put in a request to have our locks changed and it's been over a month since I've heard from them. Whenever I call to see when someone can come out to change my locks they say they are really behind and they'll get to you when they can. I finally talked to some lady and she said she's so sorry she will put a rush on it and have it done Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around and the locks are not changed. I consider myself a very patient person and pretty understanding but I feel as if I'm getting pushed around. I don't even think they deserve 1 star. I wish I could give zero stars! This holiday season with this post office has been a nightmare!!! I have never had a problem with USPS until moving to our new house in Tracy!! I did a lot of online shopping this year and almost anything USPS had to deliver was late. One package never even arrived! I tracked it for days and after a week of it saying "out for delivery" and nothing arriving I put in a case (after being on hold for almost 2 hours). The local post office called back 3 days later to say they couldn't find it and suggested I contact the person I bought the item from and request a refund. Another package was delivered to the post office on December 18th..... it sat there..... and sat there.... and sat there some more until finally delivered on December 27th.... 2 days after Christmas! The package was a Christmas present for my mom. I had to apologize for not having her Christmas gift when it should have been delivered in plenty of time for Christmas!! This post office is a serious joke and I can't trust them with any package or mail!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. I just moved here two weeks ago into a new development. Went to the other usps on 9th and was told to come here. The guy at the desk was so rude and wouldn't even let me finish asking a question or get a sentence out before saying they didn't have my mail, he wouldn't even check for me. I kept trying to say that the other location sent me here but he just told me they won't have my mail and that I need to just go find it. We have some important things that were supposed to be delivered like our wedding invitations but instead of helping me or telling me what to do he just was rude and condescending. I live In Tracy and I believe that our mail is being stolen by our Mail Man. We have Lock Boxes that apparently we are forced to use, so that the Lazy ass postal service doesnt have to deliver directly to our doorstep and be monitored correctly. Sat the Mail Man stole my Kaiser RX after claiming he delivered it at 5:29pm and when I went out 15 min later, no RX in my lockbox. its now Tuesday and still nothing. How Convenient? Kaiser doesnt help by making it obvious its a RX but that is not the point. Now when I try and call the local Office, I just let it ring and ring for hours and no one answers, so now I gotta go see these See you next Tuesdays in Person or Im going to confront my mailman tomorrow and tell him to his face he is a thief or at the very least incompetent. When ever they deliver a package, they leave a note saying, "business closed" this is a 24/7/365 business. They are just too lazy to go up the driveway and get out of their vehicle. For months, our mail is consistently mis-delivered to random neighbors. Sometimes blocks away. Usps response is that they don't have a regular delivery person for our area, as if these irregular delivery carriers don't understand what numbers and street address mean? Hold times on the phone are either half an hour long or they just never answer. Formal complaints have accomplished nothing. I've been trying to call this location to discuss and issue about my carrier and they never answer the phone. Hours say 10-4 and I've been calling around 10:45/11 for a week. My calls go to a voicemail for customer service, but wait, the mailbox is full and I can't leave a message. Who can even go over there at these hours if you work for a living? I would give less than 1 star if possible. I literally pulled up at 2:01. I had a package to drop off that was already labeled. They had to do nothing with it but take it. The man at the counter told me sorry we close at 2:00 I don't get paid after 2 you have to drive all the way across town 15 mins to drop off. I own my own business and I can't tell you how many times I have let a customer come in after closing and I had to actually help them. Not just dropping off a package. It's sad when someone doesn't have any common courtesy. Ok I understand if I was 10 min or even 5 mins late and he would have to label something or help me in any way. But literally all I needed to do was drop my package in their drop box inside as it doesn't fit in the regular blue box outside. Tracy Annex Post Office still not doing their job. How can you not improve your services after years of negative reviews? I was supposed to get a certified letter in the mail on Saturday, August 25 and it states on tracking that they left a notification which was not there when I got home that day. I have been home all day everyday waiting for this letter which still has not arrived. I called the Post Office yesterday, gave my tracking number, and spoke with a male on the phone who took my number down and informed me he would call me back and never did. I am spending another day waiting and it is Saturday and I phoned them and they are Closed. Tracking Details August 29 Redelivery Scheduled in TRACY, CA - In transit. So it has been In transit since August 29th and I have been home all day everyday and there has been no one that attempted a redelivery. Last time I filed a complaint about this Post Office years ago I received a phone call from the Postmaster there who was a nasty woman who berated me on the phone for giving a bad review and complaint which were all true and your Post Office still sucks!!! read more
