First let me say 5 stars to the young man working the registers today 6/1 at 230. There was a long line for Amazon returns and also a line for purchases. The manager came and helped ONE customer and then left the young man to do both lines. I would say the Amazon line was nearly 20 people deep. The poor kid looked stressed but did well. I will not be returning to this store. I spent about 30 minutes shopping and was ready to check out around 6:30, but the experience was completely ruined by how I was treated. There was no announcement that the store was closing, and instead of being given a chance to finish my purchase, an employee--who I assume was a manager--was very rude and abruptly told us to leave. By 7:00, she was yelling for customers to get out, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. I understand stores have closing times, but customers who are already inside and ready to check out should be treated with basic courtesy, not rushed out the door. In other stores, employees typically allow a few extra minutes to complete purchases without making customers feel unwelcome. Because of how poorly this was handled, I chose not to buy anything. It was a frustrating experience and a waste of my time. I would recommend going elsewhere if you expect respectful customer service. read more

PSA - DO NOT USE this Staples store for Amazon returns. With as many as twelve customers trying to either check out or return Amazon items, there was one employee working both lines. At least four other employees were in the area, but unable/unwilling to help. Took much too long to process my return. Recommend using any of the UPS Stores in the area for Amazon returns. read more

This review is for the Amazon portion. All I gotta say is that they are super duper slow, sloth type of slow. One gal was working the Amazon returns and another one who I assume is a keyholder only because she had keys around her neck, walked around the front area for a good 10 mins before coming to help the 10 people deep Amazon line. If you gotta do Amazon returns, go to the UPS in the same plaza, or Kohls. Those folks are quick! read more

I pretty much only come here to return Amazon packages, and I do appreciate that they're open every day, unlike some other places that are closed on Sundays. That said, the lines are almost always long. There's a sign posted about a return limit and that if you exceed it, you're supposed to get back in line. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be enforced. One woman ahead of me was returning what felt like 20 items and held up the line for a very long time, yet she wasn't asked to step aside or go to the back. When I finally got to the counter, I mentioned it to the employee. She shared that she's exhausted from trying to enforce the rule because customers have yelled at her, cursed at her, and even thrown things. That's honestly awful and unfair to the staff. Bottom line: please don't be that person returning a million items and holding everyone else up. The employees deal with enough as it is. read more

Like coming here to return Amazon packages. The atmosphere is good and parking is easy to find. The employees are friendly and helpful. It's great, you just show them your return QR code and they will take your item. Also a box doesn't seem to be needed, but when I brought one it got taped for me (no charge). Great value and service! It is located in a convenient spot just across from the Home Depot in town, in the same shopping area. Pro-tip: Take a screen shot of your QR return code/s while still in the parking lot, because I've had trouble with my phone internet taking forever to pull it up/not pulling up, while in the return line in the store. This way, you will not be panicking to pull it up while others are waiting. Or, stepping out of line to go outside and pull the codes, then having to get back in line (which I've had to do). read more

When is it ok to walk up and tell ( very rudely) you need to leave and come back tomorrow to drop off your packages, we have cut off the line because we are closing at 7 pm. Greg approached us at 6:45. If that's the case don't you think that you would open another register/ helper to help the person out to get everybody taken care of? Very tacky nobody speaks. There's a long line somebody let me know that was in the line for a while. One line for Amazon. Another one is for checkout, but there's another lady walking around not doing anything and there's a short little Mexican lady just just up there working her hard is by herself or the younger teens are just doing nothing that one came up to do something, but you guys need to work in your customer service. Guys, don't skip over Staples for your printing needs! So, I've always felt like Staples has a bit of a reputation for being cheap and you get what you pay for. But in all honesty, ive used this location for fast turn around service a handful of times and am always impressed with the experience I have with their print department. My most recent experience with them was for printing invitations. I ordered 25, and with their online print coupon, only paid $18. They're super accommodating if there's ever artwork issues and want to make sure what you're picking up is the quality you were hoping for. The value is there, the speed is there and the staff are super friendly. read more

First off if you see a line 8 people deep (and growing) for returns STOP training a person on a task that could be done/shown after clearing the return line. I have visited Staples to print some pictures, Jeimi who assisted me provided exceptional service. She was warm, welcoming, and eager to help me with my printing needs. She was so knowledgeable about the printing options and helped me choose the best fit for my pictures. This wasn't my first visit and every time I was there she helped me with the same attitude, I was impressed with the level of service I received from Jeimi, and I appreciate her attention to detail and willingness to help. She made my experience at Staples a positive one. I love the store as well. Tracy Staples is one of my favorite stores to go. read more

The Staples franchise is great however this particular location is HORRIBLE. The staff are extremely rude and slow and the store is always cluttered with a bunch of boxes in the middle of the aisles that probably have inventory and supplies that should be getting put up but the staff seem so busy talking to each other or upset with attitudes about something every single time and this is my fourth time at the print center. Very poor customer service, send a secret shopper and you will see what I mean. Please put new management or train the staff members at this location. It's not ok. read more

This review is not just about one bad moment, it's about a system that continues to fail autistic individuals and their families. My 18-year-old autistic son and I came in to return a few Amazon items. He's internal in his overwhelm: quiet, visibly shaking, doing his best to navigate confusing instructions. I was there purely as support. While he tried to sort out the correct QR codes, the employee stood there silently, offering zero guidance. Her posture and expression communicated one thing: you're an inconvenience. When I gently stepped in to ask a question, her response was instant defensiveness. "That's not my job. I don't work for Amazon." My son said "Mom, I can't do this, and stepped outside to wait for me". As I tried to clarify what we needed, she escalated. Walked away from the counter mid-conversation. When I asked, "You're not going to help me?" she shouted across the store, accusing me of yelling, I hadn't. She talked over me, raised her voice, and then refused to assist further, claiming I was being rude. The only reason she returned was because another customer walked up. And suddenly, she flipped, fake smiles, friendly voice. After helping the other woman, she turned to me and asked, "Did you find the code?" I said, calmly, "Yes, two minutes ago." Her response? "There you go again, yelling at me. I stated again, that wasn't yelling, she said yes it is and it's rude, but I'm going to help you anyway." She printed the receipt, handed it over, and chirped, "Have a nice day." I walked out. Because that wasn't kindness, that was performance. I stopped at the front register, and told the woman, "you may want to get her some more training so she doesn't yell at customers". Later, we went to UPS to process the final return, a birthday gift for my son that didn't fit. They were kind, helpful, and walked me through everything. When I mentioned our experience at Staples, the employee said, "Yeah, we hear that all the time. That's a pattern, not an isolated incident. My son didn't even come into UPS with me. Because Staples made him feel so ill-equipped and ashamed, he didn't want to try again. He didn't meltdown. He didn't lash out. He stood there shaking, quietly overwhelmed, and still got treated like he was the problem. Do better, Staples. For the kids growing up in this world. For the families trying to help them navigate it. And for the customers who expect at least a baseline of human decency. read more

Love that they merged with party city, but the girl at the Amazon returns and printing was super unprofessional today, I mean I get it times get hard but no smile, no acknowledgment, slamming the mouse hard, showing clear frustration prior to any engagement, waited 10 mins for her to even come up, she saw me but no "I'll be in a sec thank you for waiting" or "I'll help you in 5 mins I have a prior thing I'm doing" yk? also she was on her cell phone making a call while helping but still no eye contact no smile, no have a nice day. Just pure hate and annoyance. She has glasses, blue/teal acrylic nails, dirty blonde hair in a pony tail. Usually in ANY establishment someone would say hi how may I help you? Oh a return may I have your label please awesome here's your receipt, (also I didn't get a receipt, just her still looking at the screen saying you're set. I mean cool you did it but why the hostility? The guy at the check out was cool he was nice smiled and answered other questions I had, he made it great. I was in need of creating a business card for a side business I wished to advertise. I went into Staples located in Tracy and received great service on two occasions from 4 associates. They all were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and even though on both occasions, they were busy with customers and filling orders, they all made me feel like a valued customer. They took the time to help me with the computer part of designing the card and provided me with pointers to assist me with making it visibly appealing. I placed an order and picked it up the next day. I was very pleased with the results, (I was also pleased with the price). The individuals that helped me at store #0442 were Jeimi, Adriana, Michelle, and Adam, (sorry if I spelled anyones name wrong). Thanks for your help!! I couldn't have done it without it. read more

Nav was so kind and sweet from the second we walked in today. I could tell she wanted to come help me but had to stay in her designated area by the register. Kailee I believe her name is however in printing had a grumpy attitude. I was not acknowledged for the 5-10 minutes I sat waiting behind the gentleman who was being helped. Just a smile and a "thanks for your patience we will be right with you" would've sufficed. Once she helped me she recommended I place my print order on the app and come back tomorrow to pick up instead of today or else I'd be charged express fee. I was just printing a card stock sheet of paper that needed to be cut in half. I placed the order as I left without the express fee, then it was literally ready in 20 minutes so I came back in the afternoon when she likely could've just done it for me while I was there in the morning. Anyway I picked up my order with my baby on my hip, and asked if she could cut them in half for me. She told me she's not authorized to do so... I find that super hard to believe? If that's the case get it together staples. She pointed me in the direction of the cutting tool that requires both hands and I was unable to cut my paper because I had my baby with me. I remembered a gentleman in the printing department who went above and beyond to help me last time and I wished he was on duty today. Secondly when I asked if they were a pick up shipping hub for USPS she said "no only for UPS"... super interesting considering the HUGE "we ship it all" sign with the usps logo? Confusing. Anyway, when you have a job where you have to work with people all day it's important to be friendly, flexible and to have a get it done attitude. I felt like she could've tried to accommodate my printing request a little more, I was expecting the service you see in those staples commercials! read more

Absolutely disappointing experience with this store. They say the store closes at 7 pm but they shut the door at 6.55 pm. I was waiting at the door for 5 min and the lady saw me and came to me at 7 pm and said the store is closed. I said to her that I was here 5 min back and I had to do this easy return as today was the last day. At first She said her systems will shut down at 7 and later said there were no tags and later said she won't do the returns today.i explained her the situation but she started shouting at me saying store is closed although I was here 5 min before the closure time. When I said I want to speak to the manager, she said I am the manager and her name is Michelle, I am very very disappointed with such acts and doesn't expect a manager to behave in such a way with public. I needed to assist a friend with a business interaction and I needed her to have business cards before the end of the day and Keeli the manager in the print Department went to bat found the design I had made that I could not download and she got it going within an hour and a half I am so impressed I cannot say enough about this young lady and how she represents this particular business and from here on end they have all of our business read more

This place has the worst customer service. I came in to return a printer that didn't work. I had everything back in the box with nothing missing. I had my receipt and still had plenty of time before the return deadline. Micheal the tech supervisor tried to mansplain how to connect a printer to wifi even though I said that directions and everything was followed. Micheal spent 20+ minutes trying to mansplain and he, himself could not connect the printer to wifi. He did not apologize or anything for how he handled this situation and did not say anything about wasting my time when all I wanted was a simple return. I can't believe that women are still looked down upon like helpless beings. That was the most frustrating part, I shouldn't need to prove myself just because i'm a women. I'm very capable of handling all things technology. read more

Horrible customer service. I did the print from phone option and selected 30 copies, knowing it was a 1 page printout. I did not see quantity of 60 during my options. As it printed out, the second page was completely blank! I was charged for 30 blank pieces of paper! I asked to be refunded, but manager said no they cannot refund me. It was obviously an honest mistake, but she didn't care. This could have been an easy fix to make a customer happy, but that's obviously not a priority to them! Will NEVER RETURN HERE! read more

I was returning a package to Old Navy. I was told to come here for an "Express Return." I had my QR code on my phone ready to go. I explained to the lady at the counter that I was returning the package and showed her my phone with the code to scan. She looked puzzled and asked me if I was sure it wasn't a drop off. I said, "No, it's a return." She then scanned my box and said to me, "It's a drop off." And she handed me a receipt. I was confused about why I had the QR code when she didn't need it, but it was my first time returning an item through Staples, so I figured she knew more than me. My refund was supposed to be instant- right after the return exchange. I didn't see my refund that day, so I was even more confused. The next day, a box was on my porch. It was the package I was returning at Staples!!! They re-delivered it to me!!! Now I have to go back there and try again!!! Ugh!!!!!!! read more

Asking me sizes, how many copies, giving me recommendations based on what past customers had asked for... I am so disappointed in the print shop. I am a teacher and a lot of what I make for my classroom, I pay for myself. I did my due diligence and found an economical way to make so classroom decorations. I called staples to make sure my research was valid and they confirmed that they could print what I needed and quoted me a price. When I arrived on site a different staff member told me she couldn't print what I needed because "it was going to require too much ink" when I asked for the ink parameters she simply said it's just too much ink. I then explained that I had spoke to a staff member on the phone and he stated that staples could print what I had requested. She blurted "you must not have explained yourself well". Rather than argue with someone who lacks professionalism I decided to go to another staples. I will not go back to the tracy location. read more

I shopped first online for Kleenex hand towels. The shelf price is less than everyone else in town and plus this is the only place I can find them outside of online shopping. I like this Staples because it's clean and shoppable, the staff pretty nice also. read more
