Not cool, went after closing today and found that there was nowhere to drop off packages. Outside bin wasn't open. Inside slots for first class packages were stuck or non-functioning. Luckily I caught a mail truck that was coming back for the day, flagged it down, and handed it to the driver. Also, note that after hours self service lobby isn't 24hours anymore - due to recent break-ins there are only limited hours. Be aware that they often don't scan the package so we can't even track where the packages are. This is really critical for me as eBay seller because the buyers often start opening the dispute. I used the Kiosk inside to get the receipts but that won't scan the packages also...of course the staffs don't want us to be in the line for the receipts..they don't want to do their job! Also, sometimes, the drivers steal the packages and they won't take responsibility for that! These guys update the tracking as delivered and steal! What a shame!!!! read more

The employees provided great service and were really helpful, especially Susan. I had a horrible experience with UPS delivering my packages, one sent back to the vendor for unknown reasons and the 2nd package somewhere at the post office. Susan REALLY went out of her way to find it even with the faulty shipping label by the fulfillment center at Kate Spade. So I really wanted to give MAJOR props to Susan whom I've dealt with before with other missing packages. She really provides excellent service and goes above and beyond for the customers. What I like most about this post office is the OFF hours. Easy-peasy parking, and electronic metered scale that allows you to do all. There's even two of them! Double trouble! More the merrier! I found there's unlimited supplies, and I can do all that I need. After all, being me requires life to happen 24x7x365. The pros of this post office definitely include it's location. It's a located in a nice neighborhood near Wilson Park. The staff at this post office is also pretty friendly and helpful. Aside from your typical mailing needs and stamps, you can get some collector goodies here like: stamp books and posters. I would definitely say avoid going here during the middle of the day. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly. Also, the lines inside can get long. There is an older Asian dude that works the front desk but also does passports. if he worked in the private sector, they would have fired him already and I believe, he even knows that. The guy is the rudest, most unknowledgeable person when it comes to passports. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with him a couple of times this year and dreaded the moment I realized I would get him again. He did not disappoint, the same rude, with no knowledge of how to get a passport or where to send it. I never really mail anything out unless I have too so yes I'm a little embarrassed that I don't but I was born in the 90s. My parents did it for me in the earlier years and now everything is electronic so it's very rare for me to actually goto the post office. I had to mail out my passport renewal so I went to the post office to get a letter sized envelope. I asked the male post office cashier how I should do so, I assumed he would nicely tell me how. I was wrong, he made me feel so stupid. He explained it to me once but I didn't quite get it and I didn't want to do it wrong because it was very important documents. Absolutely terrible service here! I went to drop off a package for someone with a prepaid label. However, when I tried to drop it off, one of the workers started screaming at me that this is the wrong postage, you have to send it by Priority mail. Best experience so for when coming to a USPS! I was observing other staff members and they were so helpful and amiable. There was one lady in particular she seemed like a supervisor, she asking different people if they were ok and if they needed something, she was super approachable. It is unfortunate to say but it is rare to see this at other locations, except for this one. I came around 3:00pm, surprisingly the line was short, there were three people helping out. The line mover super quick, and it all depends what the customer needs to do therefore it will either go quick or not. The purpose for coming here was to get a P.O. box and the person who was helping me out made it much easier and was nice. the parking its small, and there is one way in and out so just be cautious about that. Coming in the later afternoons might be a problem to find parking since it might get busier but there seems to be street parking as well. They also have self service here you are able to check in your packages and make labels for them as well. read more

I hate giving negative reviews but on 3 separate occasions, I came here & had to deal with crappy service from unhappy staff. For some reason, outgoing mail takes a long time to get to the destination if you bring it here. If you have a question, don't ask it because all you'll get is a bunch of sarcasm. The parking lot is ridiculously small. One way in one way out. The lines are long and really confusing. You stand in a separate line for pick up mail but it doesn't state anything about that. I would give 0 Star if possible. I kept a close look on my package when it was on transit with the tracking number. When it finally arrived I was at work. Got home that day all excited. I went to my mail box and to my surprise my package was not there. My mailbox is locked and can only be open with my key. No signs of tempering on my mail box were visible. Furthermore, our mail and that of our neighbors are constantly being mixed up. I get mail from my neighbors all the time in my mailbox, I can only imagine they get mine. A few days ago, I had some other packages delivered, which were small enough to fit in my mailbox, yet they were left on the floor. Yes, leave my stuff for thieves to steal. SMH. Now, I'm liable to paying off Best Buy for a product I never received. Wish they would offer insurance at check out. Yet, again, this USPS is very unprofessional and does not care able its customers. Finally, as a tax payer, it's adding insult to the situation. Save yourself the time of dealing with the headache and request the merchant send via FedEx or UPS, NOT USPS. Before going on a rant, please know that I am sympathetic and thankful for workers who are braving their safety to provide a public service during this COVID-19 crisis. That being said, I feel I have a right to question a business or individual who refuses to take responsibility for a possible error on their part.. 3 weeks ago, I dropped of 7 parcels: 5 media mail, and 2 first class. I attached prepaid shipping labels, and the Torrance Post Office scanned them as received within a couple of hours of me dropping them off. But since then, there has been no tracking activity. When I returned a few days ago and asked an employee (I will call him "Clerk 7" because he was the only one working the counter who didn't have a name badge) to help me with my list of tracking numbers, he refused to even take my list. He claimed any tracking problems must be the responsibility of the subsequent processing centers. He suggested I open missing items claims, which I did -- after all, my customers were starting to ask for refunds. So I opened seven claims. Within 24 hours, postal supervisors at the destination addresses started contacting me by phone and email saying there was nothing they could do to help me. The problem, they said, needed to be addressed at the Torrance post office, since there was nothing to suggest that the packages ever made it past that point. Three of these supervisors marked the cases "Resolved", making it necessary for me to start the inquiries from scratch. So I returned to the Torrance post office today, and encountered the same man. This time he begrudgingly took my list. He looked up the first two items on the list: Media Mail items. After seeing that these items were never scanned beyond Torrance, he came right out and told me that Media Mail (books, CDs, DVDs, sheet music, etc.) items were put "Waaaaay on the back burner." When pointing out that two of the items were First Class parcels, he stated that those, too, were of low priority. Essentially, the only items he felt worthy of timely processing were Express and Priority Mail parcels. He then took offense to me getting "testy" after he refused to take a scintilla of responsibility. Are his processing priority guidelines an official or unofficial stance of the USPS?? Either way, I think it is reprehensible to come out and tell a customer whose livelihood depends on them providing a service that my business is a "low priority." If this man is the face of the USPS, I'd hate to see what the a**hole looks like... read more

What's wrong with this place? All clerks are so rude and don't want to talk or bothered by even little stuff. Once you start talking to them, their faces gets unmotivated, look at other direction, and seem like they are thinking something else. No idea how this place still can run business. Oh also drivers STEAL packages often and they update the tracking as delivered. People stand up! I lost lot of packages as well as my neighbors! Recently I had chances to receive the packages from overseas by EMS consecutively twice. Although when I tracked, it says delivery attempted and left notice because recipient was not available, there's no notice in the mail box. I looked around and found out it was under the bush in the front garden! Twice!! Why???? It should be in the mail box or should be put in the slot of the front door. If I didn't know I'd expect the delivery, the packages would return to the sender in overseas in 6 or 7 days!!! It's a big problem. They should investigate and do something to prevent. read more

I needed two things 1. To mail a package 2. Turn in passport application I called the day prior and was informed they take walk ins for the passport applications (great!!!) I mailed my package with no problem. After I was done I asked about passports and they informed me that they did not have anyone that could do it because the agent that did transferred out... and no one was certified. PLEASE take down your 50 signs saying you can do your passport there in the meantime and have your employees be knowledgeable of services when a customer calls.
