Convenient Post Office almost right off the 210 freeway. It has a large self park parking lot in the front. Definitely larger parking lot than other Post Offices. I actually wanted to write a review after my wonderful experience today with Cameron at the Foothill Blvd Sylmar USPS! I'm an artist who sells my own work, sometimes overseas. I had a package I needed to get to a pal in Canada and the first price tag for shipping it was WILD! Definitely far into the triple digits. I've been working with USPS exclusively for my work for decades and consider myself proficient in the label system, but Cameron was even smarter than me about figuring out the proper way to categorize my package (while also saving money on that original cost!) We were able to trim it down to a third of the original shipping cost. I was very impressed by Cameron's know-how, especially as someone who does most of my own shipping labels at home. He clearly understands the postal system and his customers needs at the same time, and I am so thankful for his help today!! read more

This is one of the better USPS locations I've visited. Tons of parking! There are plenty of PO boxes available, multiple active counters open, and a good selection of shipping supplies on hand. The staff was friendly, personable, and genuinely helpful. They worked efficiently to keep the line moving, which made the whole process quick and painless. Overall, a well-run post office and a reliable spot for mailing and shipping needs. Standard USPS pricing for all mailing and shipping supplies. Fun fact they also carry a nice selection of cards. I visited in December and January and they had a large variety of holiday cards for those last minute holiday card needs. read more

I live close by and often walk here for mail services. Typical service, somewhat friendly, tons of parking if I ever drive, close to other shopping and restaurants. Always pretty fast. It's definitely nicer than most post offices in the area. read more

Lacking familiarity with the minutiae of sending mail, Angie patiently guided me through the process, allaying my concerns of being slow to catch on. Yep - worst post office ever. Dirty. Poor customer service. Workers keep heads down - don't look at you or greet you politely. I hate going to this post office. Carrier delivery is another whole thing. I have lived at this address 42 years. The first 20 were good with the PO. But the more recent are crappy. Informed delivery says to expect blah blah blah, but blah blah blah doesn't arrive then. Carrier puts my mail in neighbor's boxes. Carrier delivers neighbor's mail to me. This week didn't receive ANY mail for two days. So stupid. Inept. Had to put a label in my box saying only to leave mail for my surname. That didn't do any good. I am so tired of this. Grateful for the quick thinking and efficiency of the staff at the Sylmar Post Office. To make a long story short, my package was stuck in a frustrating loop between the Santa Clarita Distribution Center and Sylmar USPS for over a month due to an issue with the barcode. After filing several "missing package" forms with no resolution, I decided to take a chance and call the post office directly. I was fortunate to connect with a staff member who assisted me right away. She managed to intercept my package, repackage it, and ensure it was finally shipped to my address in Pasadena. If it weren't for her diligence and resourcefulness, my package would probably still be endlessly circling on the conveyor belt. Horrible customer service; especially Angie at the service desk and all the supervisors care about is their survey scores, but do not provide a permanent solution to the problems of the mail carriers not delivering your mail or leaving the proper notices. read more

On April 17 there was a notice in my POBox that there was too much mail in my box, which I found unusual , since I did pick up mail a few days earlier. When I gave the clerk my notice she had another clerk to collect it, it was in a large carrier tray. the clerk that had collected it gave the clerk a disgusted look, I thought that there was something wrong with my mail. she gave it to the clerk I was dealing with, I started to put it in my bag bit she asked if I wanted someone to help me to the car (does that tell you how much mail was there?) another clerk took it to my car. I am elderly and walk with cane, but am not in any way senile. that clerk asked if I had gone on vacation and for got to stop mail, inferring that I must be senile. I looked at the mail when I returned home, wondering how much mail had accumulated in a few days. There was a newspaper from JANUARY also several from FEBRUARY, and March. I do get a lot of requests for donations, which added to the load. I ALSO got BILLS that are now PAST DUE due to their incompetence. I do not like that the clerks treated me as someone who was not competent, when in reality they were the ones who were incompetent. It took me over TWO hours to go through the mail. Do you hire people who read and understand English? Do you train your clerks in customer service? I have used that Post Office for over 40n years and have had trouble before. the clerks are less than friendly. Fortunately I mostly just drop my mail off and pick up from my box. This location is the closest to me, so this is the one I usually go to. It is a bit outdated, a bit on the messy side,and they rarely have their shelves stocked with envelopes/labels. So I usually stock up when they have supplies placed out so I can have for future use. I'm here about 3 times a month and always same scenario..... under staffed. The girls there are very helpful & have always given me good customer service. So the 3 stars are based on not having supplies available and not having a clean establishment. But, at the end of the day.... My mailings/packages get sent on time. So no complaints there. read more

I gotta give it up to Sean. He has been helping me with a dispute I filed with a seller from overseas due to a package not being delivered. The package label was completely damaged upon arrival and therefore, usps could not deliver it to me. After about 11 days of going back and forth with the seller, I asked usps to step in and help me get some form of letter stating that my package will never be delivered. Sean went above and beyond! Called me, wrote an email stating the facts and sent it over to me while I was still on the phone with him so that I can send it to the seller as proof. It's been a whole process and honestly it's been very frustrating but Sean helped me out and lessened the stress. Hopefully this letter will be enough to get my money back from the seller and if not (for whatever reason), I know I can count on Sean at this location to help me as much as he possibly can. The worker at the counter had the worst attitude, clearly uninterested in helping customers. When I asked a simple question about postage, I was met with impatience and barely any explanation. It felt like I was a bother for even being there. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was shocking. Great post office! Probably the largest one around with the longest lobby hours and a big parking lot dedicated to the PO. 5 stars rounding up from 4.5 stars! The modern PO is in a business district conveniently located near grocery stories, restaurants and other businesses. It's clean and even has a drive through mailbox drop off area. Visited here today on a Saturday at 10:30am (PO opened at 9:30am) and there was only one person in line. Customer service was outstanding! The postal worker greeted me with a smile and took the time to explain my receipt to me even though I didn't ask. So why 4.5 stars? Two reasons: 1. The office is completely closed on Sunday which doesn't allow for use of the kiosk or bin drop off 2. If you come when it's busy, you could find yourself feeling like you're in the episode of the Seinfield show called the "Soup Nazi" but with mail. In order to get soup, everything one in line had to order perfectly and in a particular manner. If not, some can be a little rough around the edges with instructional delivery. Happened to me once here but I get it. They need to keep the line moving. I'm pretty thick skinned so I don't mind. I learn from my mistakes and accept my mistakes. Lol. The next time I went back, I did everything right and the service was great. Summing it up, great post office. Be prepared when you step up to the counter otherwise you will be asked to step out of line, remedy YOUR error and return once prepared. Don't take it personal. Just own it like I did and you'll love this PO. read more

My regular post office closed and required me to go to this crappy place to receive my mail. I would never have opened a p.o. box here but now I have to trek to a whole different area that is not close to work or home. Re: HANH Went to pick up a package, and realized why the reviews for this place are Awful. Her name is HANH. Avoid her, she has the worst attitude problem. I asked to speak to someone other than her, because I didn't like that she was barking at me. Her face was even moody. The next person, was able to help me out no problem. As far as service and getting the job done, yes, the US Post Office does just that. However the area has been concerning as of late with vagabonds walking in and disrupting the peace for everyone else. There needs to be security in this area to prevent anything dangerous from occurring, both for the sakes of customers and the employees. I go here because it's the closest one to my house but if I had a choice to go further and timing wasn't an issue, I'd go elsewhere.
